If you were to be making a car trip, just you and your dog, for..oh..let's say 9 hours...and you wanted to make a CD (or two) of "Music to Travel By"...what would be your must have songs? The songs don't necessarily have to be sung by Clay...though those are always nice aren't they?

Ooooooo....
Well, CDs can be big, let's see here...I'd better stick to one. I want jamming tunes, just bopping along...yesss...funkish jazz stuff.
1. "Take Five," Grover Washington, Jr.
2. "Down Low," Jeff Lorber
3. "Stranded on the Bridge," Bernie Williams
4. "Nightingale," Avenue Blue
5. "Miles Away," Wayman Tisdale
6. "Mister Magic," Grover Washington, Jr.
7. "Chameleon," Herbie Hancock
8. "Fusion Juice," Jeff Lorber
9. "Mystica," Gato Barbieri
10. "Ain't Nobody," Jeff Lorber
11. "Boat Parade," Five for Fighting
12. "Hole In My Soul," Aerosmith
13. "Give Me The Night," Randy Crawford
14. "Here Comes The Sun," Rachel Z
15. "The Way You Look Tonight," Dave Brubeck
I'd probably toss in a Clay mix, too, along with some other stuff. 9 hours is a LONG time.

Thank you both very much! Excellent suggestions!
And yes, I love Christmas! I made a Travel CD and put a few Christmas ones on it. I wanted to get some suggestions because there might have been some good songs that I had not thought of...and Gregg, I love funkish Jazz!

Another great selection, thank you! And I've got that Johnny Lang CD "Lie to Me. I first saw him when he opened for Sting several years ago.

Jeez, something other than Clay in the car??? I'll have to ponder that and get a list together. It's been so long since I've listed to something other than Clay in the car.
But you can never go wrong with Duran Duran!

Yup, I think about Clay probably about as often as men think about sex.
