What a pity that Michael had to delete all of the posts from last week - we are missing a lot of News from one of the most important weeks of Clay's life. Maybe we can all work to re-post the most important things,

There was only one Clay sighting in the weekly magazines for the 8/11/08 and 8/18 Issues. O.K. Magazine  - 8/11/08 Issue - was the only magzine that gave Clay any recognition for the Somalia/Kenya UNICEF trip - here are photos of the entire page, and a close up of Clay's portion of the page:

  The was an interview with Katherine McPhee on the "Newsmakers" page. She is starring in a movie. The interviewer asked if she gets many questions about her marraige to a man 19 years older than she is, and Katharine said that no one ever mentions it! (Clay should be so lucky!)

Clay Aiken's got a new gig: proud papa! The former American Idol runner-up, 29, and his friend, music producer jaymes Foster, 50, welcomed son Parker Foster Aiken at 8:08 am on Aug.8 at a North Carolina hospital. Parker-which is Aiken's mom's sur-name-weighed 6 lbs. 2oz. and was 19 inches long. Aiken's mom told a Raleigh radio station that Parker has "dark hair". And on his blog, Aiken gushed, "The little man is healthy, happy and as loud as his daddy."

The caption for the pictures says:

"Aiken carries his newborn, conceived via in vitro fertilization, outside Durham Regional Hospital in Durham, N.C."

and:

It's a boy!

Under a small picture of Clay that looks like it's from the stagedoor at Spamalot it says:

"Clay Aiken The singer, 29, reportedly got in a midflight scuffle last year after placing his foot on a female passenger's armrest. Later, at a concert, he joked of getting beaten up by a girl."

Then on pg.23 "Hot Pics" there's this same picture from People.com

And it says:

"The little man is healthy, happy and as loud as his daddy," Clay Aiken (leaving a Durham, NC, hospital Aug.11) blogged of son Parker, born Aug. 8."

And going through some old newspapers I found this in my Chicago Sun-Times on 8/9/08, the caption under a small picture of Clay from his AP interview:

"Clay Aiken plans to help bring up the baby boy he fathered via artificial insemination"

Then this article:

"Aiken becomes a dad via insemination: Clay Aiken is the father of a baby boy, his mother, Faye, told WRAL-TV in Raleigh, N.C., on Friday. Parker Foster Aiken, who weighed 6 pounds, 2 ounces and was 19 inches long, was born at 8:08 a.m. Friday in an undisclosed North Carolina location, and Aiken's mother said the baby has dark hair. The 'American Idol' runner-up, 29, who starred on Broadway in 'Monty Python's Spamalot', confirmed the news on his blog with this posting: "My dear friend, Jaymes, and I are so excited to announce the birth of Parker Foster Aiken...The little man is healthy, happy, and as loud as his daddy." The mother is Jaymes Foster, the sister of music producer David Foster and a producer herself. Kelly! I knew Clay would be in all of the magazines this week!  (It's like going back to 2003  ) Looks like the magazines all used the same photos - but at least there are good mentions and articles!

Shirl just called, and Clay is, indeed, in the 8/25/08 issue of O.K. Magazine - page 9. she says it is an older, but a good, photo, and that the write up about the baby is a good one. I will get a copy as soon as I can, and will post a photo (unless someone else has the magazine and wants to post it - I would love that!)

Hi Frankie! I'm so glad you're safe, Gustav is over, and that you didn't have much damage from the storm!
