Now I'm worred about Pepe, Jennie, and Betty  Huggles Huggles Huggles - I am really praying for all 3 of you - I am going to have to do all of you like I once did my children - I told them they were NOT ALLOWED to be sick  Naughty (it worked on them!!!)

Betty - I just knew Reno would call Shirl's name - she hasn't called to tell me she decided to go, probably because she knows I hate for her to travel alone!  Laughing She is one brave soul - and she has had some great Clay experiences because traveling alone does not bother her. I will be very happy to hear that Corina is home. If you start to hurt again before she gets home, please call a neighbor or an ambulance. One of my best friends here had major heart damage when she had her heart attack because she hurt all day and would not call anyone - she waited for her husband to get home from work. I know a neighbor or a friend would be gald to step in to watch the animals.

Good Evening!

Skip and I have been on a mission to declutter some areas of our house.  He has been working on his office and I have been working on an area of the TV cabinet in the dining room.  He is making more progress than I am.  I have been going through years of Christmas cards, and feeling nostalgic for some of the people who are now gone.

It snowed for a short while this evening;  did not stick.  We had our Christmas snow, our Valentine's snow, and now, I will call this our St. Patrick's snow, because it is just a few days after St. Patrick's Day.

I am cooking a pork tenderloin and new potatoes for dinner.  The recipe called for sweet potatoes, but it my mind I thought it said new potatoes!  doh   I used the recipe for roasted potatoes with the Lipton onion soup mix and olive oil.  I marinated the pork tenderloin in soy sauce and seasoned it with a little salt and pepper.  Before it is ready, I will pour some Raspberry Chipotle sauce on it!   bigsmile

Sharon,
Yes, I think I have become addicted to sausage gravy and biscuits.  We finished off the last of it from youngest sister's brunch on Wednesday!  At Braum's yesterday evening, I noticed you could buy sausage gravy in a box!  I was tempted!! Laughing

Pepe,
I am sorry to hear you have not had a good day and stomach problems from morphine  (Morphine makes me itch!)  I hope you are better this evening.  Exciting that your oven is all set up for you!

Betty,
I hope you have a better night.  I am concerned about you being alone, too.  I'm glad Corina will be returning tomorrow.

Frankie,
You had today the weather we had yesterday!  I don't know if snow and rain is heading your way or not.  We are expecting to get down to 34 and freezing in some areas.  I hope the plants make it OK.

I did get registered;  had to do it twice at the new test site.  Michael is very good to us to provide a place for us when this one disappears!

I hope you all have a restful night!  Hug

Did someone mention Peeps??   Here is a picture of the Peeps cupcakes I made last year for our Sunday School brunch!!

Betty--- Huggles Goodness, please "listen" to your body and go get checked out as soon as possible.

Betty---If Shirl is going to Reno and hasn't got a ticket yet, tell her to call the Casino directly on their 800 #.  I was able to get row 7 4 hours after the tickets became available on ticket master.  That site is a joke and I just called the casino.  People who called them earlier got even better tickets by calling them instead of ticket master.

Prissy - what a precious photo of your Neice with her dog - is that Taylor??? It is supposed to get really cold here tonight - but I don't think the snow will get down this far. We started cleaning after the rain came today. I sent Lewis to his closet   Laughing (he has the walk in closet he has wanted all of our maried life and it was a mess! - Hi Fault!) and I cleaned out my "MaMaw" closet as I was getting the Easter basket things out. I have a bad habit of buying toys on Clearance and then losing them  lmao I found several things to give to one of our Agents, who still has very young grandchildren.

I hope Meesa is still on her honeymoon and did not see the Kansas game today!!! They lost - and they were predicted to become the NCAA Chamnpions this year.

I'm going to take a break from the site and go watch the game that is on - we are hoping that Kentucky will lose (sorry Glory). Their present Coach walked out on Memphis this past year, and took several players with him - we are not happy. Memphis did not even make the Tournament. (Although they are playing in the NIT).

I just saw you post, Sharon - have a Good Night.  Hope the extra rest will make you feel well again. I just hope I can get the things I am saving back onto the new site!!!  Paranoid

JoAnn - Shirl has already called the casino - did that the first day. They still have good tickets available!

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon--Thanks for the coffee, needed it. Mom has been up all night hurting so bad with a fibermyalgia attack.  Nothing we have in the house is helping , not even her sleeping pill.  She is out of her Morphine and she's tried my pain pills I got for my foot, no luck.
To top of that, the snow stuck, not much thank goodness.  This makes her body ache more.  All I can do is "suggest" things that she has already tried.  If she can sleep, that will help.  She hasn't had any sleep more then a few minutes at a time throughout the night.  I"m hoping that she can relax.  I went ahead and  stayed up for good at 6 this morning.  We put the heat on 75o doh and her electric blanket up and she is still cold.   Once  she has reached this level of aching , there is not much she can do.  Just has to ride it out.  Sleep is recommended but can't sleep.

Like Prissy said yesterday, we've had snow on the last 3 holidays this past few months.  The flakes started late yesterday and picked up after dark last night.  Some of our shrubs are covered this morning and the grass is lightly covered.  Not on the drive or walks though.  The temps are heading, hopefully, back up today or tomorrow.

THIS IS EXACTLY WHY MY GREAT GRANDFATHER TOLD THE FAMILY NEVER TO PLANT UNTIL AFTER GOOD FRIDAY.  WE STILL TAKE HIS SUGGESTION VERY SERIOUS.  Friday, when we stopped to get fertilizer, people were stalking up on "beautiful" plants because the weather was so nice.  Now, today, snow!  Wonder how beautiful those poor little plants are today.

JOANN, so sorry to hear that Jennie couldn't sleep last night.  Wished I was close by she could borrow a couple of my pills, I am not taking them anymore till I talk to my doctor.  didn't take any yesterday so  I bet that is what was making me sick, the morphine.  I will pray Jennie will be able to sleep a little today.
Wished she could just call into Dr. Doom's office and have them call in a prescription for her and not have to go in to see him.

FRANKIE, sounds wonderful how you can get Lewis to clean his closet.  I have been trying that with my hubby and he refuses to cooperate.  I even try to shame him telling him some poor people could be wearing those almost new clothes, nothing helps.

PRISSY, I have been going thru  some of my things in the office as I sit here but I don't seem to be accomplishing much.  It is hard to throw some things away .  So many memories but than I think they are only memoires to me, hate to have my children have to deal with all of this.  I think I will go and cook myself an egg, my stove almost looks intimidating to me  Laughing it looks bigger than my other one, well I guess it is as it has five burners on it.  Haven't cooked on a gas stove for like 30 years, wish me luck!!!!!!!!!!

BETTY, come and check in so we know you are okay.

HER, where are you?  Is something wrong?

I was just over at Critical Mass and Gwenn posted a website for a newspaper review of Clay.  Please go over and read it, such a wonderful review finally!!!!!!!!

Good Morning! It is very cold here, and the wind is howling. It is snowing in Shreveport, but they do not think there will be accumulation.

JoAnn - I'm sorry Jennie is not feeling well - hope she gets some sleep. Our plant places here are full of plants - but we noticed yesterday that they were moving plants indoors for last night. I also noticed that door to our big greenhouse blew open last night  Paranoid - but it is cloudy - hope that kept the temperature high enough so that most things will be O.K.

Sharon - I am sitting here having my coffee - cyber cofee and real coffee!!!  lotsa coffee

Pepe - enjoy that new stove! We bought the shelving system for Lewis' closet and he installed it - most shelves are too high for me to reach - he even has a small bench in there to sit on when he changes shoes. He has a habit of throwing everything on that bench - he had to get in there yesterday and put things in order. He even has sports equipent in there - golf clubs and gun cabinet (locked) included. There ws no way I was going to strighten all of that out!  Laughing I told him I went in there Friday when I was cleaning floors - but I just opened the door and turned around and left!

I agree with Pepe - Jayne - where are you?

Betty - hope you check in early today. Did you see that Shirl came on site last night and saved the Magazine Thread???   Clapping She is feeling much better, and is so happy to be going to Reno. I hope she and JoAnn get to meet each other. I am so happy she is taking the train.

Happy Sunday, everyone !

GOOD MORNING!

I stayed up late last night and moved the Color Chart and all of the Birthday Poems to the new site.  I put them in FUN STUFF, but not really sure if the Birthday Poems should be there or in the archives!  Don't Know

I looked out this morning and our vans are covered with snow and there is a light layer of snow on the grass and the benches;  nothing like the snow around Valentine's Day.  It is 30 degrees right now, so we are below freezing.  I don't think we will go to Sunday School;  not sure about the roads!

Skip did a great job on his office, and he has lots of stuff to give away, throw away, and go out in the recycling!  He is like the Hare and I am like the Tortoise.  He moves quickly getting things done, and I take a lot of time;  stop too often to read things!!

I imagine we will continue our quest to make stuff "disappear" in our house, today! Wink

JoAnn,
I hate to hear that Jennie is suffering so.  Is there something over the counter that would help?  Do you think she needs to go to the ER?

Sharon,
I'm glad you liked my Peeps and the picture of my great niece.  She is so cute.

Frankie,
That is not Taylor;  she is still in Houston.  That is Taylor's cousin and the dog belongs to Youngest Sister.

Pepe,
I think you will enjoy your stove.  I can hardly get more than one thing in my stove at a time.  When I put in the new potatoes, the pork dish with the pork tenderloin would not fit beside it, so I had to put it on the rack below and really too close to the burner.  The food turned out fine, however, and we will have leftovers today!

Betty, Dudley, Jayne, Lolita...hope you all will check in!

Hello to all checking in/and or reading and have a Super Sunday!  Hug   Stay warm!  cold

       Frankie, Prissy and Pepe,

                                              Just checking in, thanks!

Glad to say my jaw is not hurting as much today,
though I do have a bad headache.

It"s very strange but when I had heart attack before I did"nt have any chest pains
just jaw pain, nausea and sweating. The doctor"s kept telling me not to be stoic about
the pain and could"nt believe I did"nt have any....just felt weird.I had a triple by pass
and that was ten years ago.

Corina will be home tonight but if I still have problems I will call her friend and go to

the ER.My best friend is a love but does"nt driveor she would be here.

           Frankie,
I did"nt see Shirl"s post last night. She said it is a 7 hour train jpurney to
Reno and she has to change once. The train is set up for wheelchairs and there is a shuttle
to the hotel.I think it is much better than flying.

I"m so happy for her...now she has something to look forward to.

Good Morning #2 lmao

The sun is out and hopefully it will help melt the  snow.  Mom  still feels bad but she has been able to sleep a wee bit this morning.  I'm just staying away from her bedroom and being very quiet.  I did put Sammy up on her bed for "comfort!"  He knows when she doesn't feel good and curls up right by her and comforts her.
I just sort of "peek" in on her.  It's now 10:00 and around 8:30, she did  say that she has been able to catch a couple of winks.  She needs to get up and take a nebulizer treatment and take her morning pills, so I think I'll encourage that.
I just went and caught up on my current 21010 tax records.  I START out with good records but about March, I BEGIN TO FADE OUT ON RECORD KEEPING.  I'm putting everything not only in a file but on a spread sheet on my computer desk top.  I'l see how many months I can keep it up to date this year! lmao

I hope I can meet up with Shirl in Reno.  That will be great being able to meet her.  People on the OFC are already talking about meeting up with each other, so it looks like everyone will be able to meet new Clay friends.

CAROL, glad you got all registered on the new site.

FRANKIE and PRISSY Wished I could help save some of the threads but my compuer is 12  years old and has very low memory.  I am waiting for it to fade as my monitor doesn't have much color anymore and it takes ten minutes to load a page.

PRISSY I used to be fast with everything I did but those days have passed I guess.  Going to go fix some dinner.  Steak that hubby will grill outside and angel hair pasta with a marinera sauce and hot rolls.  It is cold but sunny here today.  Have laid around most of the day.

BETTY, I am still concerned and scared for you.  YOu don't sound real encouraging to me.  I suggest you call Cornia's friend to take you to the ER to get checked out.  The babies will be okay as Cornia will be home tonight.  Just make sure they have food and water and leave lights on for them.

JOANN, how wonderful if you get to meet and see SHIRL.  I am so happy you are going to Reno and there will be other Clayfans to meet  up with and eat with.  Glad Sammy is keeping Jennie company.  Allie does that with me, she lays on my bed or on my chest or on my neck and growls if anyone dares comes into my room.  She is a big guard dog that 4 lb yorkie is.  Now Pepe who I have had for 15 years could care less what I am doing in bed all the time, he sticks close to his papa.  Even has to go to the bathroom with him.

DUDLEY got your email and sent you one back.  Sorry you had a bad day but glad you are getting over that cold.  Maybe this will be your last rainy cold day.

The fruit trees are in beautiful bloom, robins are hopping around the back yard looking for worms, and it is SNOWING!!!!! I would take a photo if I thought the snow would show up! It probably will not stick (It might - it is so cold out there!) but it looks so funny coming down this time of year.

Pepe - I just frosted a German chocolate cake - coconut/pecan frosting, of course. No need t punish the husband just because I am trying to lose weight. I'm also making a pot of coffee - come on down! Love those Yorkies - I think Tuff would attack a bear. Both of the boys look awful - their groomer broke her ankle - don't know whether to try a new groomer, or just wait.

JoAnn - I always say I am going to keep the ledger up to date, too - but I get behind sometimes.

Carol -  Clapping for getting on the new site.

Prissy - I am going to start moving some things over to the new site after Michelle gets a couple of questions answered - I'm trying to avoid having to post more than once!

Glory - a nap sounds wonderful!

Back to the ANN - Philly is helping - we are meeting in the middle! Less than 20 pages left!  Clapping

Good Afternoon Everyone,

Mom  has taken 2 of my pain pills and it helped a "wee" bit.  It is the same type and dosage they gave her several years ago but didn't work.  We both "looked" at my bottle and her old one to make sure.  We did find out that both bottles said that you may take 2 at one time! Wish we had read that  before not only for Mom's sake but mine during the week my foot hurt!
Mom just walked into the office.  She is wrapped up in a white robe that Skip and Prissy bought her from an Air Force Base when  we all went to the Grand Canyon together.
This is a nice, thick winter robe but she has worn it all day.  She is trying to walk around a little bit every so often to help exercise her legs.  Hopefully she will feel better tomorrow.  In a couple of hours, she will be able to take 2 more of my pain pills.   I get one more refill before 9-30-10, so I'm going to refill this week to have them for her in case we can't get the Morphine before her appointment with her new doctor.  The law will not allow a call in  for Morphine, I have  to hand them the actual prescription in person and the only reason they allow me to hand it  in with  Mom's  name on it, they know who I am.
