Prissy ~ I made the hashbrown recipe you put into the
recipe thread last week. It was on the back of the bag of
hashbrowns I bought.  Laughing  I was having company so I
cubed some ham and put it in the casserole. It was good.

Glory ~ Little by little I am losing the numbness in my hand.
The doctor said he don't think I will loose all the numbness
though. I can feel the keys now some so it is easier to type
now. But I am slow at it. Actually the numbness went all
the way up to my elbow at first. I broke all 3 fingers in 4 places and they think that is what caused my hand to  go numb.I am happy it is getting better.  I have been reading back some
and saw you got dark wicker furniture for your deck . It
is here at our Walmart too. Very nice. You will enjoy it this
summer.

A special "Thank's" to all of you working to save the sites.

sharon,

I'm going alone this trip to Reno!  I "think" I have enough miles to get a free AA airline. So, the room and car will be the expense.  The ticket was just $50 and no handling fee I would have if I used Ticket Master.
The casino has already sent me my confirmation paper and I will pick the ticket up at the casino.  Since I went shopping at Stein Mart the other day, I have a brand new spring/summer jacket.  I'll get either white or navy pants and I'm set to go!

I"m so happy y0u managed to get a good seat at Reno. If the concert

is a tenth as good as Raleigh you are in for a treat.

Very smart to go directly to the box office, ha! ha! Ticketmaster.

      Carol,

My goodness, that must have been very painful, so many breaks in your fingers.

I hope the numbness soon goes away. Must be very difficult to type.

                                   Take care,

      Frankie,
What a wonderful thought, all those Clay DVDs and salmon to boot.

The iron flower handers sound lovely, soon we can get out in the garden
again. Several things are starting to bloom.

Sophie decided to sleep in my bed this week, she usually is in Corina"s.
My bed is quite small, so with her and kitty cat I have to find a small spot.
I planned on sleeping late but have to get up to let Sophie out

I"m going to try calling Shirl now.

FRANKIE, hope you get to go shopping to the greenhouses.  If you do don't forget to take your camera, wish I could go with you .  Oh and don't forget to take a trailer with you so you can buy everything you want to.  How was the steak dinner last night?  I am sure maybe if son told the restaurant owner how  you loved that dressing he just might give it to you.  Men loved to be praised you know.  !!!!!!!!!!!!   Laughing

PRISSY, oh my what wonderful pictures.  You never disappoint  us you always provide some wonderful entertainment and food is my entertainment right now.   bigsmile   Your sister put in a lot of work you can tell she wanted this to be extra special.  I am glad to hear everything turned out so good.  What a wonderful selection of food.  I am going to check out that hash brown casserole in a minute.

DUDLEY, had a good day today.  Taking the morphine pain medication on a schedule is helping me alot .  The doctor was right it does not take the pain away but I am a lot more comfortable than I was and much happier.  I didn't wreck the scooter and drove pretty good thru the store.  Bought some cards I wanted and a few groceries.  Also went by the Appliance store we have here and bought a new stove a new GAS stove with convection oven I have been looking at them for a while  now and finally decided to get it.  I actually save money when I am sick, that pension adds up when I can not get out of the house to spend it so instead I got to buy something of real value.  Our power is out here so much I could never understand since there is natural gas to the house why in the world they put an electric stove in.  So many times the power has been out during the dinner hour or no coffee in the morning as there is no power.  So son is coming over on Saturday to help hubby run a gas line for the new stove.  I am excited about getting it.

            Frankie,
I just talked to Shirl she really is feeling ill. The medicine is
not working so far. I told her to call the doctor tomorrow.

                                   Such a shame.

       Pepe,
I"m glad the morphine is helping to make you feel better.

You were right to buy a gas stove, with natural gas you
                         will save money.

BETTY, sure hope you can get some afternoon naps in, you have had a busy and mentally busy week.  Take care of yourself while cornia is gone.  Don't like you being there by yourself for some reason.   Huggles

GLORY, yep don't plant flowers yet.  When we were in Tennessee we still got frost the last part of May a couple of years.  I never plant till Memorial Day.  Have you drawn pictures of what you want to plant, and where you want to plant it.  That should keep you busy.  Do you have a camera?  I need to see your deck with your new furniture and potted plants when you get it all done.  You can have some of the women from church over for a lunch now and than .

FRANKIE, you find the neatest things at that Dollar store you have.  Will be waiting to see pictures.

wave wave SHARON and BETTY, yep am anxious to get the convection oven as you can bake three cookie sheets of cookies at the same time.  We had this type of stove when we had the restaurant in Tennessee and I loved it but when we sold the place we sold the stove with it.  I don't bake that much anymore but it is wonderful type of oven when I do.  You are really cooking with circulating hot air and the meats and roasts turn out so wonderful.

Betty,
I really didn't have much pain with the broken fingers.
Now I know why. When it happened and I went to the doctor
I wasn't feeeling much pain. He said when I told him that, it bothered him. But he didn't say anything to me.  Last time I
was at the doctor he finanly told me that the numbness had started right away and got nummer as time went on.
I asked him why he didn't tell me that. He said
he was hoping he was wrong. He said I am lucky the feeling is coming back. So really I wasn't in any pain. My fingers were just sore a little. Thats all the pain I had. Now my hand tingles.
Kinda drives me crazy.  But the tingling is a good sign, so I
guess I won't complain.  Laughing

Carol - hope your hand continues to improve.

JoAnn -  Purple Banana Purple Banana Purple Banana for your ticket - but I worry about you going alone - wish Prissy could have gone with you. I know you will connect with other Clay fans when you get there, though. No one really ever goes to a Clay concert alone!

Betty - I can just imagine you, Sophie, and the cat all in one bed  Laughing I will call Shirl later.

Pepe -  Clapping Clapping Clapping for your new stove - you had a great day!  Clapping If we go to the Festival, I will take my camera - it is supposed to rain Saturday, though. After our warm weather today, cold weather is supposed to come in by the weekend - Shreveport may even have snow!!!

Lewis is watching basketball tonight, and I will be here on the computer - see you all later................

Frankie,

Thanks for worrying about me traveling alone! Huggles  Like you said, once I get to the casino, I won't be alone with all the other crazy Clay fans!  This will only be my 2nd "all by myself" trip in my entire life.  A few years ago, I couldn't get anyone to travel to the island of Kauai and so, me, myself and I went and we did fine for the 11 days we  lmao were there.
I think that I'll just go up on Friday and return on Sunday to make it a quick but nice 3 day weekend. I could care less about the casino, maybe a few penny slots would be fun.  If the tourist sites are directly around the casino, then I might go see a few. Haven't decided to get a rental car or just rely on a shuttle service.  I know in Las Vegas, you just go up to a window at the airport and buy a round trip shuttle ticket.
