Frankie,

When I got my gas, which I almost always get at QT, I had a coupon from Skip for a free donut.  So we split the donut after lunch, but then I had a chocolate chip cookie from my "ebay" sister.  Almost anytime I stop by her house, she sends me on my way with a paper plate of chocolate chip cookies.

We also still have Girl Scout cookies in the house, too!! eek!

Sharon,

All of Frankie's questions:  Ditto!!  Laughing  EDIT:  I just saw your post.  This is the trip I want to take to Niagara Falls and stay in a room where you can see the Falls.  Sounds like a great time for all!   The million $ wold just complicate your life!! Laughing

I just looked at some Raleigh Gala pictures and I think I did buy the brown jacket just like JoAnn's!   Naughty  However, I did get a similar one in black with purple and blue designs on it!!

No more tablescapes, but because of St. Patrick's Day coming soon, here is a GREEN TEA POT!

SHARON, there are a lot of mothers out there that wish they had daughters like you and your sister.   You are both very special people .

GLORY, thank you so much for the darling card.  So you lost it huh????   You are so funny , you also brighten my day, .  I also wished   you lived near by, I could use some help.

FRANKIE, I wish you were here I would send this cake home with you .  Can't be to fattening as it doesn't have any frosting on it.  bigsmile

Off to lay down and prop the foot up.  It keeps swelling for some reason just the left foot.  I already take the highest mg of water pill daily.  I guess I am going to have to go back to see the doctor.

Good Afternoon Everyone,

It has been a long day.  I FINALLY GOT THE OLD BANDAGE OFF AND FOR A FEW MINUTES, MY FOOT WAS ABLE TO BREATHE!  THEN A NEW. LIGHTER WRAP WAS PUT ON IT.
It doesn't look that bad.  Of course, I had to look beyond the swelling, purple toes, side and heel, stitch line about the length of my pointer finger. doctor's ink marker still there but hey, I wasn't upset.  My surgeon was out of town today, so I saw his partner.
He said that we need to still use ice and elevation for the swelling and to "USE MY JUDGEMENT" ON THE BOOT.  TRANSLATION--IF I TAKE MORE THEN TWO STEPS, BOOT/CRUTCHES NEED TO BE USED.  I can still go out to stores and if a electric cart is available, I'm supposed to use it.  PEPE--RACE YOU! bigsmile
Now, I go back on the 19th to take the stitches out and then I "might" get to switch to a after surgery shoe instead of the the boot.  Hope so!  I'm already dreading the stitch removal.  Pain!

I stayed  on my bed the major part of the afternoon watching television.  Even Sammy wanted on my bed and he was so good.  He just cuddled up next  to me and slept for about an hour.  He runs when he sees my crutches though.

Sharon--Glad your trip was fun.. I LOVE NIAGRA FALLS!  I'VE BEEN TWICE.  ONCE IN OCTOBER AND ONCE IN MARCH.  THE MARCH TRIP STILL HAD ICE AND SNOW AND WE TOOK A HELICOPTER TOUR OVER THE FALLS!!!!!  I ALSO LOVE THAT QUAINT TOWN CALLED NIAGRA ON THE LAKE!
MY FRIEND AND I WENT TO THE CASINOS TOO BUT WE ALSO LEFT OUR MILLION DOLLARS THERE FOR SOMEONE ELSE TO WIN! lmao

Bet the concert is in full swing and that everyone is having a great time  Clapping

Prissy and Sharon - Maks and partner were on Entertainment Tonight yesterday, and Derek and partner were featured tonight - hope you both got to see it. And I suppose you both know about the Bachelor special this coming Monday. I might actually watch it - I want to know why anyone in their right mind would be on that show!!!  Laughing They are going to be talking to former Bachelors and Bachelorettes.

Sharon - sounds like a great trip - I did not know there are hotels with views of the Falls. Wish you had bought that camera in time for this trip! How lucky you were to have parents who were in love with each other. I can't even imagine that. I second what Pepe said - your Mom is lucky, too, to have you and your sister.

Prissy - only in Texas - coupons for dounts when you buy gas!  lmao (We do get a free car wash here with a fill-up!

Pepe - If that cake was here, it would be dangerous  Paranoid I have to save up, my calories, though, for April. Amy, Robin, and Kaitlyn all have their birthdays that month - there will be lots of cake to try to resist. Son is planning a surprise party for DIL (she will be 40). I am helping with the mean stuff! We are collecting old people stuff for a gift basket.  Wink I have promised to print the invitations for him, too.

JoAnn - I'm sorry you still have to use the boot - it will be worth all of this, though, if your pain is gone when the stitches are removed.

Glory - I do not expect Meesa to post photos tomorrow, but maybe when they get back from their honeymoon. I read somewhere that they are going to Las Vegas.

Good Morning Everyone,

Sharon- Huggles Take care of your cold.

I saw the photos last night on Yahoo.com of Clay on stage.  Very nice and he looked like he was having fun too.  Can't wait to hear the reports from everyone.

The sun is shinning and it seems  to be a lovely day so far.  I'm taking Mom to the beauty shop in another 30 minutes.  I "see" that she has written a couple things as errands this morning too.  One is to go to Sam's Club.
Pepe---I get on an electric cart at Sam's Club and race you in my mind! lmao

I can wiggle my toes this morning! bigsmile  I kept my foot elevated most of yesterday and ice on it quite a bit too.  I already have the boot on since we're going to leave  shortly.  I'm determined to quit feeling sorry for myself and just go about like normal.  I'll just elevate/ice each day until Friday.

JOANN, glad you can wiggle your toes!!  Clapping  Yep wish I could go to Sam's club with  you we would have fun to have such a large store to race around in.  Right now I am on QVC I am getting dangerous shopping on the computer.  Just ordered two bras  yesterday and spent $75 and last week bought some skin care and make up by Clinique and spent $60.  Gotta stop this!!!! Thank goodness for General Electric's pension check.  bigsmile

GLORY, I have missed being able to go to a Hallmark store to buy some cards, my favorite place to go.  Hope you and Callie have a nice relaxing weekend.  Rent a good movie and buy yourself something special for dinner.

FRANKIE, enjoy having birthday cakes and forget on those special days the word diet.  I love birthday cakes, they just seem to taste better.

SHARON, I feel so bad that you don't feel good.  Stay in bed and stay warm I will fix  you some home made soup to bring to you.  (I wish I could).

Good Morning!

It is a beautiful, sunny day here, but a cold wind is blowing. Hope it does warm up some - lots of winter cleanup needs to be done in the yard. We had planned to get started today.

I saw the photos from last night, and read that Quiana and Ruben were part of the show - I hope my PBS station carries it - sounds like a really good concert. Can't wait to read the reviews.

Meesa - Happy Wedding Day!!! goodluck flower

Sharon -  Huggles thank you for cooking breakfast, even though you do not feel well.

Pepe - I'm officially declaring it Spring. Lewis bought flats of several kinds of tomatoes yesterday - he plans to transplant them into individual pots today, so they can grow better. One of my chores today will be to locate all of the plastic buckets so we can cover the tomatoes when he sets them out into the garden too early!  Laughing Wish you were here - he could use a supervisor!

JoAnn - have fun running around SAMS - be careful and do not run over anyone  Wink Wonder who would win a race between you and Pepe?

Have a fun Saturday, everyone - I may get dressed (I just got up) and shop a little while waiting for it to warm up. Need a few groceries, and I have not checked out the Easter things at the dollar stores - I am almost finished with the grandchild baskets, and would like to finish.

Good Morning!

Skip just left for his Computer meeting and I will be going with my friend from the quartet to see a play about a quartet, "Opus," this afternoon!  I will try to get a little housework done this morning!

It is the start of Spring Break in my area, so Monday orchestra practice and my Monday Wedding Professional Lunch/Meeting have been cancelled.  So, lots of free time this week!  I noticed that the Dallas Arboretum has a beautiful display of flowers and, hopefully, Skip and I can take that in soon!   My cello sister and my youngest sister may want to go to Houston to see our newest great nephew, but Skip also wants to go,......so, we will just see what happens.  Skip and I may go down ourselves nearer the end of the week.

Pepe,
I have been on a "jacket" shopping spree.  Two coat like jackets from Sears, a purple and a deep red one, each regularly $44 marked down to $7.99 and then the dressier jackets yesterday from Stein Mart, 25% and 20% off!   wheee   Now, I have to find closet space.   I need to go through my closet again and see about donating more clothes.  I am wearing one of my new Stein Mart jackets today to the play.  It is black with blues, purples, and turquoise thread designs through out.  Today I am wearing it with a turquoise shell, turquoise earrings and necklace.  I could very well see blue or purple with it, too!

JoAnn,
I am bringing the brown jacket like the one I described to Pepe with me.  It has threads of orange, peach, and burgundy in it; no black, so I don't know if it is like yours or not.  I will call and see if you all are home and maybe stop by to "compare" jackets after the play!  Laughing

Sharon,
Sorry to hear you have a cold.  Lots of rest and liquids should help!
What a wonderful love story of your parents!  Wow!  They met at 13, married at 19 and were married for 65 years.

Frankie,
I hope ;you will take pictures of your Easter decorations and your Easter table.  If you serve your Easter dinner buffet style, then you should have room on your table for an interesting centerpiece of flowers and bunnies!!

JoAnn,
I'm glad to hear you will be elevating your foot and using the ice pack.

Hello to all checking in and/or reading and have a Super Saturday!  Hug

Back from shopping. I picked up a few things for Easter baskets (I think I am finished), bought groceries, and bought 2 more pairs of jeans. I have to call Amy, who loves to shop at Old Navy. One of the dollar stores had Old Navy jeans for $7.99. Amy has to have talls (took after her Dad), and I have to have short - the store had both, which is very unusual!

Prissy - I am about to get out in the barn and get the boxes of Easter decorations out. While I was gone Lewis hung the St. Patrick's Day flag out, and I see he has the Ester flag out to hang at the end of this coming week. Most kids here will have Spring Break Easter week - I hope all 3 of my grandchildren have break at the same time - I would like to have them all here at once. Cameron might not be able to come, though - the golf team begins play on Monday, and they may even play during break. Enjoy your play - our tiny theatre group is putting on a play here tonight and tomorow - we are talking about going to tonight's performance, which will be at 7 p.m.

Glory - I am happy for Clay  Clapping Clapping I haven't looked around to see if anyone has posted a recap yet.

Michelle - don't know where the photos I saw came from - no one said they were "illegal", but I won't post any links just in case!

Have a great afternoon, everyone - see you later.............
