I CANNOT BELIEVE IT IS 5 1/2 YEARS SINCE WE MET. IT FEELS LIKE I HAVE KNOWN YOU FOREVER.  I KNOW WE TRY ENDLESSLY TO FILL IN THOSE BLANKS.

Dear Marion,

Happy Birthday to a woman whom I greatly admire!   You have the gift of knowing just the right words to say and when to say it!  I have watched how you've handled your health challenges over these past several years,  and I continue to strive to have that same sense of optimism, humor and zest for life in spite of my underlying fears. 

You've raised some beautiful, loving, brilliant and accomplished children all on your own!    That speaks volumes to your strength of character, my friend.  My wish and prayer for you is that you will start to reap the blessings and rewards of having sacrificed so much on their behalf.  Maybe in a couple of years we'll be bragging to each other about our grandchildren!  Laughing
