The prices in NYC have gone up, from hotel to airlines....Thank goodness for a good paying job, because it appears the money in the bank will be depleted pretty quickly.

Cindy~ Today has not been a very good day. Not only can he not swallow but he has a bad headache & can't sleep...but thank you for asking.

I went to the store and got him some baby food, mostly fruits,& some popsicles. Ice cream & pudding seem to stick to his throat. I fixed him some mashed potatoes, & steamed mashed carrots for lunch...it took a long time but he finally ate it all.

I hate it but I've got to go back to work tomorrow, because Rebecca started to school this past Thur.

Hopefully tomorrow will be a better day..That sounded a little like Scarlett

My hubby went over to his mom's house after dinner.  Tomorrow, he has a VERY early morning dr's. appt. to take Jean to, so I'm all by my lonesome this evening.

Marlene~  I'm sorry Roger is having so much trouble with eating.     But it sounds like you're doing everything you possibly can and it's just gonna take lots of time as his healing progesses.  Did the doctor give him anything to help sleep or ease the pain?  If that continues, I'd give him a call.  He obviously needs his rest too.

I'll keep you both in my prayers.

Marlene ~ Can Roger take ensure?  Or can you make him a thin milkshake or a smoothie?  You can buy protein powder at the health food store to add to them.  or how about broth or gatorade?

For his headache maybe some children's liquid Motrin or tylenol would help.  Is he still taking the Vicodin?  Maybe that's giving him a headache.
