 wave Everyone

I'm still off on vacation until tomorrow.  Atlantic City was so much fun.  Hubby and I had a great time.  The Tropicanna, as a place to stay, is very, very confusing.  It took us a few days to finally orient ourselves.  It's actually four completely separate, humongous buildings connected internally by an area called The Quarter which has walkways, courtyards, shopping, restaurants, and the casino itself.

We stayed in the West Tower which is the building that collapsed and killed several workers when  they were building it.  I was a little spooked at first.  Philly, we also had a ghost in our room.  Each day the towels we left on the vanity, ended up on the floor at different times of the day and night.  Paranoid

Wherever you want to go in the Trop you need to take elevators to the Quarter and then go through the casino to get to other sets of elevators to get to where you are going.  When we went to the beach, we had to go down from the 42nd floor to the Quarter, walk through the shops, the courtyards, and the casino with our beach chairs, towels, etc and then down escalators through more slot machines to get to the boardwalk to get to the beach.  I was quite surprised at this as I always thought that children were not permitted in a casino.  Here, they have to tromp right through all the slot machines and tables to get to anywhere they are going.  It was very strange to be in the midst of all the gambling in my beach attire and flip flops.

We went to several wonderful restaurants (The Palm, Cuba Libre, P. F Chang's, Sonsea, a restaurant at the Hilton, etc.)  We went shopping at the exclusive Oceans Mall and at the outlets.  We went to see Dancing Queen at the Trop which was so much fun and we had sixth row center seats.  Hubby got the tickets through our concierge so we got preferential seating.  Oh, if only it was Clay on that stage.     I kept thinking of him during the entire show remembering him at Caesars and at the Borgata.

I also won $85 on a dollar bet at a penny slot machine.  I'm not a big gambler so when I saw all the penny slot machines, I thought I would give them a try.  I was betting only 6 cents at a time and won the money on the second pull.  So it cost me 12 cents to win $85.   bigsmile I took that money out right away and put in another dollar which let me play for about two hours.  It was really weird.

We had so much fun.  Can't wait to go back in September.   Purple Banana

Philly, glad you had a good time in New Hope.  I love spooky places.  My favorite is Rose Hall in Jamaica.  I loved being there so much, I hated to leave.

Seems like hubby had a great time too.  Did he see or feel anything?  Maybe at Halloween, we should all go and take the ghost tour.  New Hope is only about 20 minutes from our home.

When I passed by the Mansion, I got a chill up my back and a feeling of utter dread.. Paranoid

I found out later on that the orginal owner of the Mansion was murdered. shock
