I'm starting to have a sore throat too with a stuffy nose and headache and I'm suppose to go on a romantic get-away this weekend!

Hey Cindy,

I think the instructor said you go anywhere between 45 and 60 mph.   It only takes about 60 seconds to go down the zip line.  I wish it were a bit longer.  I was really enjoying the view. 

Oh gad Jen.  At 60 mph  eek! I'd want to land on something REALLY REALLY soft.  Truth be told, I'm the biggest klutz in existence and I probably would have broken a foot when I landed.  HA. I'd be their first Zip line casualty.   Laughing   So how do they slow the puppy down at the end?  I'm really fascinated and the view must have been incredible!

I love the auburn hair (what a shocking surprise  Laughing) and that pic of Clay with the baby is one I just can't stop looking at.  It seems so personal and intimate.  Thank you Philly for sharing with us!  And I'm sorry you're feeling crappy tonight, but hopefully it's just allergies and will pass by this weekend.

I know I couldn't.  During my last vacation in Key West with hubby, we went for a bicycle ride and I hit an unexpected pot hole in the street.   Paranoid  My bike ended up on the side walk and I tore my knee up pretty bad.  Then a stupid drunk on a moped almost ran me over during the Sunset celebration on the boardwalk.   Paranoid   Jeff says he should take out accident insurance every time we go on vacation.  I always end up with pics of me in bandages.   blink

Hey Cindy,

I'm not sure what they use to slow you down, but it kinda reminded me of a big bungee cord already attached on top of the zip line itself.  And that starts to slow you down the closer you get to the bottom.  You land on a hard surface.  Kind a like a deck but without a porch attached to it. 

The view was awesome.  The clear beautiful water, and the mountains further away.  I'd love to be able to do that again.
