Hi all! wave

Hope everyone had a great memorial weekend! 

Hubby and I spent two wonderful days in the mountains and it was pure R&R..... Even our cell phones didn't work there and yet... somehow I survived.   Wink   ROFLMAO   The weather was simply gorgeous, so we did lots of touring by car in a short period of time.  Had no real agenda or planned destinations, we'd just stop & explore whenever and wherever the whim hit us.  Almost every small town we came upon had something of interest, but my favs were the private galleries run by local artisans.... we found everything from amazing metalwork sculptors to glassblowers, potters, painters, photographers, etc.  And in some instances, we actually got to visit working studios and watch/ask questions.  It was great fun and I learned so much about the creative processes that go into these beautiful works of art.   

Then on Sunday my D/H and I also went hiking at the Ashokan Reservoir.  This is the main water source supplying NYC and it has some of the most gorgeous, untouched countryside you'll ever find on the East coast.  Just miles and miles of breathtaking vistas and I have the blisters on my feet to prove it!   I took a few pics that I hope will do it justice....
