Beth ~ sorry about your ankle.  You have 2 knowledgable people here to help atleast!  I just got Nick to bed also...he was watching High School Musical: The Concert.  It was pretty good.

I wanted to watch that, but Nathan didn't.  I heard High School Musical played in my girlfriend's car all the way to Chicago and all the way home in Feb with her 2 kids in the backseat watching and singing along.  So, I've heard it, but have never seen it!

Cindy, I made an appt to get my hair highlighted in 3 wks  .  I have dark brown hair with natural auburn highlights.  I'd like to try something different.  Maybe some highlights and lowlights, but have no idea what color to choose  .

Beth, dark brown with natural auburn highlights sounds really pretty...  Hmmmm. 

I'd add to the auburn highlights & pull you through a cap.  Assorted strands, perhaps framing your face.... but just a shade lighter (auburn wise) than what you have now.  That would still look really natural, but Hawt.   JMO.      

I just did a "search" and it suggested to not go more than 3 shades lighter with the highlights and a shade of red for lowlights

Beth, I'd try highlights first & see what you think.  Red lowlights are tricky... unless you want to go redder?  Do you?

Also sorry to hear about your ankle.     If you're having a lot of pain, you can take 4 Advil & it's safe to do.  When I sprained my back last year, my doc told me 4 Advil is considered prescription strength.  It will really help inflammation & it's fine for the short term.

Thanks for the suggestions.  I was really thinking of going a lighter brown and NOT redder.  I have a soft cast that I had to get last summer for my left ankle.  I only wish that I could use it around my right ankle.  I tried it, and no such luck.     That sucker was $70!    But, it did wonders for my left ankle  .

Cindy ~ I want to see a pic!!  I am ALWAYS changing my hair...love it!  My hairdresser is awesome too...she is always trying new cool things.  Thats a great color.  I think I need to go a bit redder.

Clandy... I'll work on that pic & get everyone's expert opinion.     Messing with color is so much fun & I really love my hairdresser.  If you make a mistake, you can always fix it!  Today, after I got done, 3 of the stylists in my salon came over & gave me kudos for being bold!  That was really cool.  And I'm happy with the result.
