Good Morning All!!  Boy did we have a scare early this morning. About 3:45 a.m. we were awaken to banging coming from our downstairs. David went out onto the deck to see what was going on (With shotgun in hand!  ) He found this teenage girl banging on the door. He asked her what she wanted and she said "I'm locked out of my house." And David said "But this isn't your house." And she kept saying "I'm locked out of my house." He said "Where do you live? Do you need the police?" She gave him her name and her address but she said "No police, I'll just leave." ( luckily he didn't have to use the gun) So she left and walked down the road. He couldn't figure out where she went to, so he came back into the house. I said "I wonder if she wrecked her car somewhere." 20 mins. later his pager opened up and a call came in for a vehicle accident about 1 mile from our house. It was her car. This young girl lost control of her car, ran over a mailbox and drove into a ditch full of big rocks. She got disoriented and found her way to our house (even though there were about 8 houses between the accident scene and our house) Apparently she was looking for her friend's house which was right around the corner from us. The police found her hiding there about an hour later! Never a dull moment in my neighborhood!!  |
