Hi All!  First, I want to thank everyone for all the wonderful thoughts & prayers I recieved for my MIL.  Jean's surgery was successful, but she still has a long road ahead. Unfortunately, trying to walk today was very short lived & painful... but the woman is a REAL fighter & that's half the battle! Jean will be in the hospital until Monday. Thankfully, her doctor agreed she needs additional care/time & must progress more slowly than expected. For once, the health care system seems to be working for her. And by Monday, we hope to get a GOOD rehab facility in place & we're very optimistic that things will continue to improve. At the age of 83... it certainly takes time to regain strength & we simply feel blessed she's doing as well as she is. Again my thanks for all your prayers. |
