Of course, I really believe Clays version is much better, and NOT because I don't like country, because, aside from Clay, most of my music IS country..

It just really is a much better version.

I think I saw it on the Clayboard.   Clay's version is so much better.  I listened to both to be objective.  I just don't think the other guy's version has enough emotion in it.

I know that Mariah Carey recored this song on one of her albums and it's also on her Greatest Hits album.  If you go to mariahcarey.com and go to the part that lets you listen to her music, then you might have another version of this song to debate over.  I have the Mariah Carey version and Clay version and I like both singers, but when Clay sings it, he makes me melt to the song, and when Mariah Carey sings it, she makes me feel the emotions of the song that she's feeling.

Thanks Tiggergirl19 -- I have heard Mariah's version.  It's very good but I definitely prefer Clay's version the best.   The original artist's  (I think it was Harry Nillson) version is also very powerful.    Welcome to Claymaniacs!!!!        - Kathy
