Deanna,
Are you ready for Halloween?

Yea and no. Laughing

I have had my decorations up all month.  Wink  I only added 3 new things this year.  bigsmile

But, I have no treats. Cry!  That is my goal for lunchtime today.  I am going to get enough treats for 200 kids.  Fingers Crossed

Deanna,

I went back to look at my posts from last year and my Oct. 06 Calendar.  We had 48 Trick or Treaters.   We have 58 Hershey bars.  I may buy a few more;  just in case.  We did have 60, but Skip had a couple!!  Yes, I had a few bites, too!  Naughty

 I love chocolate

Well, I went and purchased enough candy for 200 kids.  Now, I just have to hope that is enough. Laughing  I checked last year's count and it was 181.

Here's some of my decorations:

I actually have a lot more lights, (I have to throw 6 switches to get them all on) but that is enough to bore you with. Laughing

Here's the daylight few of a few of my decorations:

I added these this year:

Notice the detail on the hook:

I added the "cat" this year:

I added a figure that I modeled for this year:

Deanna -  Clapping I added one scarecrow this year - that is all! As I posted last year, I only have scarecrows - that way I can use them all the way past Thanksgiving - they stay up until it is time for the Christmas decorations (which we may not have this year due to a new, wild, puppy!).

I did go buy candy, as always, just in case we get someone at our door. We never have anybody, though, because we live so far off of the road - the kids prefer to go to subdivisions instead of trick or treating out here in the country - more candy for them in a shorter time!  Laughing I always buy Lewis' favorite candy (this year I bought Butterfingers and Junior Mints), so he will be happy with the left overs.

wave Hi Frankie!  I always buy the type of candy that we like and then I never have any left. Laughing  I have a whole different group of decorations for Thanksgiving.    I must be doing something wrong.  Paranoid

I do have 5 different scarecrows out and a whole "string" of small ones.  Wink

These pictures are from the Plant Shed, a plant nursery.  They always have a lot of inflatable Halloween decorations.

 lmao ROFLMAO lmao ROFLMAO lmao

We've had a bunch of parents pose their kids under our Halloween Archway (see pic above) and take pictures.  Hubby and I were trying to grab a quick bite to eat when the camera flash went off the first time.  We could see the light through the bay window, and we looked at eadh other and said, "What was that??!!"  bigsmile

We flew to the window and opened the sash........ Oh, yeah, wrong holiday.  Paranoid

We have had over 100 kids in the last hour.  Wheeeeee!!!!!!  wow

I wanted to do something cool for Halloween so our department dressed up like pirates. We made our desk a pirate ship with a sail and talking skull. I was the pirate wench and we got best group in the clinic contest.

The pirate theme sounds really neat!!  Did you get some pictures?

We just turned out our porch light;  it's a little after nine o'clock.  59 Trick or Treaters.  I made a run to the store for a few more Hershey bars;  so we ended up with 10 leftover.  Skip and I each just had one, so 8 left!!

I hope everyone has a good night!!

Hugs,
Prissy

We had kids start coming here at 4:45 pm, so we decided we had had enough at 7:45 pm and we turned the lights out then. Laughing

By then, we had had almost 200 Trick or Treaters!!!!!  wow

Cute pics, Meesa and Prissy! for sharing.

Our whole office dressed up yesterday, too:

I saw alot of adorable costumes last night.  I had quite a few spidermans and princesses, a few cheerleaders, and some scary masks.
The highlight was a Scooby Do costume that was just adorable.   bigsmile
