Hi,

Are any of you "hooked" on the show LOST on Wednesday evenings on ABC?  

I missed it last evening and believe there was a story about the pregnant girl.

If anyone can fill me in, I would appreciate it.

Also, what is your guess as to what is actually happening to the survivors of the plane crash? Are they actually dead?  Did they end up on a magical island?  Or??????

They implied a guy (Eithan)who says he's from Canada but really could have been on the island for a very long time, and been the person who attacted her baby!

I think they are trying to make Canadians look bad........Dunna duna duna-duna-duna.

I  see that not many are watching this show, LOST.

I  am hooked on it and watch it every Wednesday.  It is really quite a mystery what is going on on the island.  Each week more questions are raised than answered.

I like the way they focus on one (or two) characters and show a little of their background before the crash.

Just an added comment:

At the Phoenix JNT concert, Clay asked the audience, who all watched LOST instead of his special.  Then he said, the usher is coming down the aisle to escort you out.  I almost raised my hand, beccause I taped the special and watched LOST!

Prissy- I watch Lost as well and loved the show. It's my favorite new show. I'm on the edge of my seat.  

LOL Clay didn't ask that at my concert but I would be scared to raise my hand. LOL I watched his special that night and then Lost after it was over.  GLad I"m not the only one.  :bouncy So glad Claire is ok. Was afriad she was dead. I agree. I love learning more about the characters and there backstories.

Nice to see you and hope you are doing ok. Lost is my favorite show as well.They should had won best drama at the Golden Globes a few weeks ago. It's the best show out there. I never thought I'll be interesting in watching a show like this after Buffy and Angel got canceled. They were my favs. My fav charachers are Hurley, Locke, Charlie and Claire. And I want Kate and Sawyer together. Hate watching reruns right now. It's amazing what they come up with. It's an exicting show.

Ok, if anyone wants to start a discussion. I don't know if anyone has heard about this but one of the charachers is going to die and doesn't look like he or she will be back.

So who do you think it is? I have no clue. I don't think it will be Kate, Sawyer, Sayid, or Locke anyway.

I was glad to see the rerun on Wednesday because I had missed that show.  You really have to see each episode to connect everything together.  Evidently, the psychic knew the plane would crash.  I wonder what it is he "sees" about the baby to be that scares him.

I'm thinking that they may kill Ethan.  He is a character we do not know well, and he was not on the plane!  I can't imagiine that they would kill off a main character.  If not Ethan, then someone we haven't seen too much of.

The writing on this show is fantastic!  I don't know how far ahead they have figured out their story arcs, but they certainly keep us on the edge of our seats!

Ahh I do understand what you mean if you think you missed something it's good to remember that detail.

I don't think Claire is pregnant anymore cause on the last episode when she came back it didn't look like she was.
I was afriad that she died but glad she's back.

I don't think it's Ethan. He'll be the villian for a while but they could kill him off too. Guess you never know. And it was weard Locke gave Boone those drugs to have a dream that Shannon died. I was so shocked when we saw her really alive.

Some people think Boone could die. I don't know about him. I guessed Charlie cause the actor has done movies but I hope it's not him either cause I want him and Claire together.

I thought at 1st that everyone really died on the plane crash and they are on the island for a purpose before they really are dead. But I don't think it's true now.

It's awesome and fun to see a well written show that keeps you guessing and has myserty and intriged. You never see that anymore.

Oh, I don't know his name but you do think that black kid killed that bird since he did so well killing that Polar Bear?

Myself being a huge fan of the LOST I wonder if they have already wrote or should I say have written the whole story line before the first show aired. It just seems to me that a show like this would be hard to write in a series. May be because I write all the time. Who knows. Just my thought.

Shannon- That's what I thought as well but since someone really will die I don't think it's going to end up that way now. But it's weard what that black lady said about her husband one episode that died in the plane crash and thinks she'll see him again. I read things from JJ Adams and he said, they aren't going with that.

I think the writers have an idea where they are going, but I have a feeling they're open to some new ideas as the series progresses.

No one could have foreseen what a success LOST would be, so that may affect some of the previously thought out story lines.

Sometimes, I can figure out what is going to happen in a show or series, but I must confess, LOST has me stumped!  And, in a way, I'm glad.  It's fun to have a real mystery to deal with.

PS:  I forgot to mention that the actor who plays Jack was on David Letterman's show the other night.  David tried to pump him for answers about what's happening on the island, but "Jack" didn't give away much.
I got the impression that David watches the show.

I agree Prissy. A lot of the Lost actors have been on Jimmy Kimmel. The Guy who plays Hurley was just on recenty. The girl who plays Kate was on the show once and he asked her what crime she did and she and the writers didn't even know yet. Ofcourse also they can't give away too much info.

Jimmy was actually in Hawaii on the set of Lost last week. I bet he's done like a skit with him. THat will be fun to see.

ABC has an amazing show and it does great ratings. I hope the success gets bigger and better.

The actress who plays Claire was on Jimmy Kimmel tonight. She's cute. Said on the show that she was still pregnant. Jimmy thinks the baby is like a devil baby and he caused the plane crash. THat's his guess. Saw a preview of everyone finding Claire back and looks like she doesn't remember anything.

I watched LOST this evening, and it looks like the character killed off was a minor character.  I wonder, too, if Ethan is really dead?!  

Now several of the characters have guns!  So that should make it even more frightening for some of the others.

I also saw on one of the commercials that Jimmy Kimmel is on the  LOST set on tonight's show.  I'll have to stay up or tape it.

Good show tonight. I think the spoilers were misleading. Was afriad a major characher would be killed off. I was afriad it was going to be Claire for a min. Thank god Ethan is dead. I hope he is. Poor Claire losing her memory. I love her and Charlie together. THey are so sweet.

Kindof a confusing show tonight but getting so good.

I enjoyed Jimmy Kimmel's visit to the LOST set.  He wore a ball cap and a Hawaiian shirt.  It was funny how he interacted with the different characters.  

And it reminds me that I hope Jimmy has a skit with him and Clay on his show this coming week.  I think something for Valentine's Day would be great.

That was hilarious. I liked the song he did with the actor who played Charlie and when he wanted a kiss from Sawyer. THat was great. He's a Lost fan too. Was fun.

That would be great to see Jimmy and Clay do another skit together too. The 1st time he was on his show, he did get his girlfriend, Sarah Silverman.LOL I like Jimmy to do some matchmaking for Clay if he doesn't have a date would be sweet.

It was Sawyer's night this eveninig!

And we found out that Sawyer had an encounter with Jack's father in a bar.  Now Sawyer knows something that Jack would probably like to hear.

The boar  harrassing Sawyer:  Did it represent someone in Sawyer's life?  Possibly.  And Sawyer decided not to kill it.  And was it really there?  

More questions than answers!  Still intriguing!

I watched Lost for the first time the other night at Her's recommendation.  Since I haven't watched it before, I really need someone to fill me in on the backgroud info.  So if anyone has time and wishes to do so, I would appreciate it as it would help me to better understand what is going on.  Interesting characters, for sure.  Especially liked Sawyer, but I hate killing.  So this may not be a good show for me.

RE:  Boar, you remember Lock relaying story of the dog taking up residence with his grandmother, I believe it was, with that simile, I would guess that the boar represents Sawyer's dad.  Maybe trying to tell him to finally stop on this vengence trip he's been on... that killing an innocent man already was enough.

Woody- I'm not good at summeries but I"ll try my best to help out. GUess you could also go to the Lost website on ABC.com to learn more about the charachers and they might have summeries of the shows.
Usually on every Lost episode we we get a back story on one of the charachers every week. This was the 2nd one for Sawyer. I love these  charachers to learn more about them. It makes the show interesting and there's the Island where weard and mysertious things happen like they have seen a Polar bear on the Island. From the other charachers back stories we have seen what they did before they got on the plane before the plane crashed.

There is a main characher that suppose to die soon.

I can tell you about Kate. Her and her boyfriend commented a crime and he tried to rob a bank and Kate wanted this briefcase with money and she puts guns in it. She killed her boyfriend. THat's why she didn't respond to Sawyer during there game, when he said, he never killed a man.

Jack is a doctor and his father was too. He found out his father died and had to fly out before the plane crash. There was an episode where his father was on the island and he came back to haunt him. This week we discovered Sawyer met Jack's father in the bar in his flashback when he mentioned that the red sox never won World Series.

Also Claire the girl who's pregnant, there was this guy named Ethan who was the villian for the show for a few episodes but CHarlie killed him on the last episode. Ethan took Claire and CHarlie away and he almosted killed CHarlie by hunging him. He lived. Claire was still missing but just came back but now has no memory and she and Charlie are getting closer. Also her baby might be evil or dangerous.

Locke thinks the island is magic. HIs back story was that he was in a wheelchair and he couldn't walk. He wanted to go on a trip to Austratia on a walk about but they didn't allow him to go. He went on the plane anyway and when the planned crashed and he got on the Island all the sudden he could walk again.

Whew! Hope that helps with some charachers. If I remember anything else I'll let you know.

Jayne - I have played "I never" at Girl  Scout camp - NO DRINKING, of courses.  If someone says I never....and you had done it, then you are out.  Kinda fun!!!

It's really hard to know what's happening even when you watch each episode!!  So I think that's why LOST episodes were repeated for a while.  I still have not seen the very first episode where the plane crashed!  Missed it twice!

I'm wondering if they could be near the Bermuda Triangle and if Locke is still Locke or has been taken over by some spirit on the island??????????

  I love Lost too and been watching since day 1 and even the reruns.
 
   Did anyone make a connection with the Ethan's "clean hand" sticking out of the bag when Charlie was about to bury him.  It seems as though the camera did a good close up on it and kept it there a wee bit too long?  
  Do you suppose that this means something?  When the young boy was reading the Spanish comic book, it had a picture of a polar bear on it and then a strange polar bear appears on the island!  Remember the boy's back story show that he is somewhat "diffferent" and the stepfather was leery of this behavior.
   I believe that we might not have seen the last of Ethan or his story line.  Also, remember, it was muddy and raining when he was killed and the hand was very clean looking!
   Also, I can't wait to see what the trouble is for next week.  The previews  looked interesting trouble with the new boat?

   I forgot about this "Lost" tidbid.   It's the one about the secret messsages that Charlie writes on his taped fingers.  If lyou noticed, he wears tape on the fingers.  I read somewhere that the actor changes them all the time.
   Some of the messages have read: love, help, Claire, etc.
I keep forgetting to look myself and I wonder if he is still doing it for fun.  I believe that he wanted to see if the audience noticed.  It might have been in the tv guide article that I once saw on the characters.
   Every since I completley did not connect with the comic book/polar bear, I am now looking for everything and antyhing to be different.  That is why I honed in on  Ethan's hand.  It probably won't have any importance.

Did anyone notice in the scene with Jin,in the flashback,where he went to hassle the guy,and his little girl was their watching TV with her dog.You could see the tv picture in the background.....it looked like Hurley on the island ..he was walking across the screen. I did not catch that Jiin speaks English, too.  I think that Michael and  Kate know that Sun speaks English.

Michael's son set the raft on fire!  That was a surprise last night.  And how did Locke know?  I think that there are several on the island that would just as soon stay there than go back to their  "real" life.  So it could have been one of several to set the raft on fire.

I am still not sure about the watches.  And did Jin want to "escape" his father-in-law and stay in LA with Sun?  His own father suggested it.  

I am looking forward to Hurley's story.

I've heard on a message board they think he can speak english too. He could understand what Sun was saying to him. Looks like everyone knows now she speaks English. Oh and I've noticed in Jin's flashback we saw him washing the blood of his hands and I remember that from Sun's back story. It looked like he wanted to start over with Sun in LA at 1st. It was sad they broke up but I'm glad they did cause Sun can be free of him now with the way he has treated her and I bet they will put her and MIcheal together.

When Locke said, we know they are others then them on the island I really thought it could be someone else who wants to destroy them like Ethan wanted. Now we know that Walt, the son is capable of setting fires and killing like he did with that Polar Bear. Like to know how Locke knew too. LIke there backgammon games together. WAs funny when he said, Hurley owed him money.
Interesting to think about if some so rather want to stay there. So Locke and Walt see the good side of it.

I'm afriad for Hurley next week. I think Charlie will be safe if it's the episode when someone dies.

      I also liked Wednesday show.  I never expected Walt to be the fire starter.  I believe that they are going to start playing up his "special" talents in more of the shows.
    Why don't they have him help "seek" out the the so called "others" on the island.  I bet that they could have him doing some great things. Especially if Lock helps him channel his powers.  
      I'm still wondering what happened to or where did she go, the black woman that Jack helped.  She has just disappeared.  I wish that her husband would show up looking for her.  He could be dazed and not no where he is, just show up.  That would be a good story line.
     Who is shooting at the people next week?  Will they really show us?  Could it be the French woman who held Siad(sp?)
  Can't wait to find out.  I'll be there same time same station.

Remember seeing the black women with CHarlie a few weeks ago but we hardly ever see her. Wondered what's up with her too. Remember her husband died in the plane crash but she thinks he's still alive.

 Lost was awesome tonight. Sorry about being wrong about someone dieing. I keep hearing about it and it never happens yet. I love Hurley. I enjoyed his backstory. Poor guy is cursed. It was so funny when he hugged the french woman. We found out another connection. Hurley owned Locke's company. Very interesting.When he saw that crazy man and he mentioned something about a box, I figured out that the numbers were on the box Locke and Boone found. Wow! Very interesting. Awwww Was so sweet Locke made a cradle for Claire. Nooooooooooo I don't want to wait so long for a new episode. :cry    

When Hurley found out he owned a box company, I just knew he owned Locke's company!  It is such a great show....What's in the box????  Mutant germs maybe????  can't wait to find out!

Hurley's story was great.  And more interesting than some of the other character background stories.

It is beginning to seem that everyone on the island is connected in some way, and all had problems that were unresolved.

Lost rocked last night. Hurley's my favorite characher. I enjoyed his backstory too. Also it was funny he saved that guy on the ladder from falling. LOL They are some things still I can't figure out. Probably won't watch the reruns though. I think it might be 6 weeks til a new episode. I love how some of these charachers are connected. It's intriging. Also I was so afriad for CHarlie last night walking on the bridge. He's been close to death a lot. I scream sometimes with this show. LOL But that's the fun of it. It gets exciting. I felt for Hurley too if he thought he caused the plane crash with his bad luck. Can't wait to see what's in the box too. Still have no clue.  Oh and some of the 3 lottery numbers had 815 on it.  People are saying that's the flight number of the plane and also the number of Kate's safe deposit box.

 She watches with you too. Cool Glad I wasn't the only one. LOL Sometimes if I see something too gross or scary I look away too. Remember when Charlie was hanged by Ethan and they thought he was dead? I screamed and cried my eyes out and it was such a relief he was alive. These charachers make you care. I like all of them.  

OOOOOHH MAN!! Lost was awesome yesterday!!!! I loved it. i honestly think it was the best episode they have showed so far. I don't knwo but yea that's what I think... I don't want to wait that long either for a new episode to be aired!!!!

 It just keeps getting better and better doesn't it? I think it's one of my favorites too. It seemed lighter then some of the other backstories. Hope the weeks go by fast.

Oh, If anyone doesn't mind spoilers, a TV girl named Kristin from Eonline has a chat every Monday night and you can read it later on. She gives away info and spoilers on the shows and gives good ones for Lost.  

Someone should start a list of LOST clues that connect different characters or seem relevant to the "mystery" of everything.  When one of you catches another clue, you could post it and it could be added to the list.

I have not been very good at picking up on the clues.  Probably, becauses I am usually doing  something else (folding clothes, writing a poem, etc.) while watching.  I may need to give each show my fulll attention. It's so easy to miss something!!

Still getting hints of Sawyer being the one to die cause I heard Kate and Jack might end up together. No spoilers can be out though cause they want you to be surprised. I understand that but man I'm dieing to know cause I hope it's not one of my favorite charachers.

You weren't the only one. I cried too when they hanged Charlie and almosted died. Relieved it's not him either. It's not him, Kate, Jack or Sayid I don't think. And please don't let it be Hurley but I'm starting to think he's safe too.

Great Episode last night. Locke is one of my favorite charachers so liked the backstory on him again. I can't believe his father betrayed him like that. How freaky when he was stabbed in the leg and tried those other things he didn't feel the pain but later he could barely walk. I hope he's not paralazyed again. I wouldn't had let Boone go into that plane if he had those visions of him all bloody. That was risky and scary. He could get to connect someone but it was dangerous of him to be in there. You think he'll die or would Jack save him? He doesn't look good. I think he'll stay alive.

It was so funny that Sawyer needed glasses and Hurley said he looked like Harry Potter. LOL Was curious why Sayid was breaking the glasses. I still have a feeling Sawyer is the one to die and Sayid is going to kill him.

I freaked out when Boone and Locke saw the dead body. Yuck! And very interesting Locke saw a light on that box at the end.

Next week looks good with Claire having her baby.

I love "Lost" also!!  There is always so much going on.  You really have tp pay attention.  I think the reason Locke didn't pay attention to his dream was because he was just off kilter from all that was happening to him.  He is usually more on top of his visions.
I was so glad to finally get some new episodes.  I wasn't able to see the show from the beginning but with all the repeats, I was able to catch up nicely!!
I don't think Boone is the one to die - I think they are making that too obvious.   I think it will still be a big shock for whoever it is.

I'm sure they will repeat anything you missed in the summer too. THat's a good reason about Locke. I agree that I don't think Boone will die either. I know for sure it's not Jack or Charlie.

I did get to see LOST last Wednesday.  I was in Raleigh and on my way to the Social the next day in Concord.

WHile JoAnn and  I worked on some things for the Social, we watched LOST.  It was interested to see Locke as a "young" man and his interaction with his father and the transplant.

We still don't know how he got paralyzed.  And I was afraid the paralysis was coming back when it showed him in a wheel chair on the island.

I don't know if Boone will die or not.  It does seem as if the "death" of a major character will be  in a later episode.

It's great to  have some new episodes.  I still have not seen the very first epsiode where the plane crashes.  :cry

Some people think it's either Boone or Jin that will die.I don't think it's them. I think they are teasing us right now and it won't be til the finale.

What an episode last night. I did not expect to see Boone die. I even cried. Was sad Jack couldn't save him and Shannon crying over his body. sniff Wow! So Jack things Locke killed him. I would had liked to had seen him last night. I'll miss Boone and Locke together.

Was excited while that was going on Claire had her baby. It was so cute. Sweet and sad montage at the end. I was afriad what the baby was going to look like. Thought it was suppose be be something weard about the baby and remember she can't keep it.

Boone was on Regis and Kelly this morning and they kinda hinted that he is not completely gone from the show, so who knows what that was about. And he said they the finale is 2 hours and they show a little bit of the " thing " that is chasing them.

I started to cry when his leg was about to be cut off...then it let loose when he told Jack "You know you can't fix me...I'm al messed up inside....and look where we are..."  NOOOO BOONE NOOOO

Then the baby....charlie is so cute!!!! I cied when the baby was born..b/c Boone died and the baby was born and it was sad...lol....then i was all crying even harder when Shannon saw Boone....I tihnk I was crying even after the show was over...lol.

Tiffany, I think that I can answer the question about breaking the glasses last week. They couldn't find a pair of glasses that had the right prescription for both eyes. They were able to find the correct prescription for each eye using two sets of glasses that could then be fashioned into a new pair.

I hate that Boone died. I liked him on the show.

As if to underline the deadly serious stakes, first-year hit Lost killed off one of its 14 regular characters Wednesday as Boone (Ian Somerhalder) died of injuries suffered in last week's episode. The show completed a circle of life as another character, Claire (Emilie de Ravin), gave birth.

Boone, a callow young man who had been toughened by island challenges, is the first fatality among the ABC drama's main cast. Although the character hasn't been as central as some, such as Jack, Kate, Sawyer or Locke, he was featured in a flashback episode — a Lost signature — and has been as prominent as any other of the airline crash survivors.

So why Boone?

"It will be very apparent as to why he died, just in terms of figuring out which character's death would impact the most relationships on the island," executive producer Damon Lindelof says.

Boone's death after he was injured when a small plane he was searching through fell from a cliff will affect the character's estranged stepsister, Shannon (Maggie Grace), and her growing love interest, Sayid (Naveen Andrews).

Boone "is the only person that ever really knew and loved Shannon, in spite of herself. Of course, losing him, especially with so much left unsaid and unresolved, will change her irrevocably," Grace says by e-mail from Hawaii, where Lost is filmed.

The series, which averages 15.9 million viewers, was renewed this week for a second season.

Boone's death sparks immediate conflict between two alpha survivors, Jack (Matthew Fox) and Locke (Terry O'Quinn). Locke was searching for ways to open a secret hatch with Boone when he was hurt. Jack, a doctor who tried to save Boone, is furious at Locke, a mysterious adventurer who lied about the cause of the injuries.

Death is "in the DNA" of a show with so many regular characters and an air of imminent danger, Lindelof says. He and fellow executive producer J.J. Abrams decided to have the death come now so that the ramifications could play out leading up to the two-part, three-hour season finale (May 18 and 25, 8 p.m. ET/PT).

And "that's not to say Boone is the only character who dies this season," Lindelof says.

Although Boone's death made sense from a story perspective, that didn't make it any easier telling Somerhalder. Lindelof praises the actor's performance on the show and says Somerhalder has handled the matter gracefully.

Others in the cast, who had wondered whether their characters would die, were saddened by Somerhalder's departure. Sequestered far from Hollywood, they have become "a tightknit group," Grace says.

"The day we filmed Ian's death was pretty heavy for everyone, especially Foxy (Fox's nickname) and Ian. They're very close," she says. "We've all known from Day 1 that we might not all be here for the duration of the show ... but there was still this feeling of camaraderie, that we were all in this together and would be for some time to come."

I think Boone was the one "expendible" character so if made sense that he be the one that died.  Locke is in a "heap of trouble."  Jack is mad at him, and it looks like he gets shot by Sayed. (sp).  

Can't wait till some of the "loose ends" are tied up.  And I'm glad, too, that Claire's baby seems normal.  But who knows on this show???

I thinkI think Claire might begin to suffer from post par-tem depression.  It sounds reasonable…seeing as she was going to give it up for adoption…and then she has it on the island after being kidnapped and her memory got erased….and yeah…having that baby might hurt her…and I am wondering if another ethan person will show up and try to take the baby…b/c didn’t he want the baby for something? I dunno…and I also think that the hatch will FINALLY be explained hopefully…I know it needs to be unless they leave that open for next season.

Locke is definitely a little crazy…maybe in the beginning when Michael told walt to stay away from him, he was right? I mean I always thought Locke was really cool…now I think he is just silly and want to punch him in the face.

I am definitely liking Sawyer more and more b/c he seems to be trying to be helpful and nice…but he still has that sarcastic smarty pants humor…that makes it fun.

I wish they would not show so many repeats of LOST.  I think it is losing it's momentum when a repeat interrupts the sequence of events.  

Hopefully, we will see more new shows in the coming weeks.  And I think they are building up to a two hour finale.

I agree Prissy. I think it might be new next week til the finale. I hope so. In next weeks TV's Guide there is an interview with the actor who plays Boone. He sounded sad that he was fired. He just got a house in Hawaii. Was hard for him. Might be back season though for a guest appearance. Also he said he might not be the only person that's killed off. Why would they kill the charachers. It seems like you think the show won't last long if they do that.

Well I was recently informed that next week is supposed to be a recap of teh seasons highlights...so maybe we'll have some cast interaction? One can only hope lol.

I am glad Locke was not killed.  I think that maybe the hatch could be part of  an alien space ship!  Just a hunch!  And could they be on an island in the Bermuda Triangle, if there are islands there?  

I thought it was funny that Sawyer's voice stopped the baby's crying.

I felt tonight's show was a good balance between flashbacks and the action on the island.

Lost was awesome and exciting tonight. Sayid's backstory was kindof boring though IMO. I was so afriad Locke would die. THank god. Some people are thinking he'll turn out bad. I really hope not. WAnt to believe that he was sorry but don't know why he lied to SAyid. Also was glad he could walk normally again. I didn't think Shannon would shoot him. Was surprised by that. I did hear someone else might die in the finale. Thought it was funny too that Sawyer could stop the baby from crying. Something is totally weard about the baby as to why it won't stop crying. LOST is really getting exciting.  Will the raft sail next week?  Who will be on it?  

Now we know why the toy airplane is important to Kate.  Also, that it was Jin's wife who "doctored" the water and Michael got it instead.

I think Walt has ESP or some type of intuitive powers.  If the hatch has no handle and was not meant to be opened, maybe it's a bomb of some kind.

Awesome eppy last night. I heard that Walt doesn't know what's in the Hatch but he just has a bad feeling about it. Sayid has a point too about no handle on top. Dieing to know what it is but I don't think it has to do with outer space Prissy. LOL

I was surprised that Walt told MIchael that he burned the raft and he was ok with it. I think after he saw that monster he doesn't want to stay on the island now. I know Sawyer, Jin and Michael are some of them that will be on the raft. Just a few people. I bet someone could die out there since we heard someone else will.

Was a weard way of stopping MIchael or was it suppose to be for Jin? that Sun and Kate came up with poisoning him.

I couldn't believe in Kate's back story she just let her friend die there and ran. It was weard how her mom reacted to see her in the hospital. I'm glad she confessed to everyone what she did but we know everyone else has secerts they haven't told yet.

The time capsule was cool. I noticed she has a New Kids lunch box. I loved them. LOL

I think the finale starts next week cause it's 3 parts then it's a 2 hour finale the following week. Heard it's going to be quite a cliffhanger. Damn I agree sometimes you want the summer to go back quickly to see the shows start again. Wish there was no reruns in the summer either.

Wow! Lost was exciting tonight. I liked how they showed most of the charachers back story before they were going to be on the plane. I guess the girl who sat in the back of the plane died. The French woman was interesting and what she said about the others that took her baby. So it's Micheal, Jin, Walt and Sawyer on the raft. Hope they can be safe and ok. Guess we will see where they are next week but be lefted hanging to where they will end up. It was so sad to see Jin and Sun say goodbye. Walt was so sweet to give his dog to Shannon. Awwww It was so sad when his dog went into the ocean to follow Walt. I can't wait to see what's in the hatch and who the others are and what the monster is. I can't wait to see the finale. And the black rock is a pirate ship. Wow!

I started watching Lost midway through the season. It's a great show! I've read that this summer they will be re-airing the entire season on Wednesdays at 10 pm  EST starting June 1st. I'm looking forward to watching the early episodes that I missed.

Wow.. I am so addicted to this show as well. If I miss any episodes I will go crazy trying to figure out what happened. This last episode before the season finale was really good. I'm still wondering what is in the hatch, especially after Walt, which seems to be psychic, said not the open it. HMM... I wonder what is it there. Well I can't wait for thsi Wednesday's season finale!! I'm kind of sad that it will be over becuase what I am i going to watch this summer when it's not on!!

Is it confirmed that the finale will definitely be repeated?   I'm having a hard time with my VCR lately and had planned to tape Lost (if it works) and watch American Idol.  But if it's going to be repeated, I'll just wait until Saturday.

I read it in the TV Guide that LOst is 2 hours also on Saturday. Last Saturday they showed the recap episode again. It's a good move with AI being on at the same time on Wednesday.They are both 2 hours.  I'm taping Lost and can't wait to see it that night and watching AI 1st also.

Just saw a commerical to watch GMA tomorrow morning to see a scene they won't show tonight.

Terry O'Quinn and Matt Fox were on Jimmy Kimmel this week. Terry taught Jimmy to throw knives to balloons and Terry carried a big knife around his leg under his pants. LOL He didn't get it but Jimmy got one. Was funny.

If you watch tonight, the actor who plays Hurley will be on and another actor from Lost will be on too.

What an exciting finale last night. I never seen a great cliffhanger like that in a long time. I'm not surprised all the questions aren't answered yet. I was ok with that. I'm glad the teacher was killed off. Couldn't help but laugh at him. I was so scared for Locke. I thought he would fall into that hole. He seemed amazed after they heard the monster but stupid to follow it. I think the monster flies. Didn't see it coming and I think it was the others on the boat that wanted Walt instead of Claire's baby. Poor Walt and Micheal losing him. I was so scared when the boat blew up. Hope Micheal, Sawyer and Jin can survive. It was cool Jin started to learn English.  Felt bad for Claire when the French woman took her baby. I hope Charlie doesn't start to take drugs again. Hurley was funny trying to get on the plane. Think it was telling him something. It was good seeing everyone getting on the plane before the crash. Damn Wanted to see what's down below in the hatch.

I loved the final episode of LOST!  Very exciting!  And lots of unanswered questions, still!  What is the monster?  Will the three on the raft be okay, and what about Walt?  Who took him and why?

And an article in TV GUIDE said the science teacher would be a new character next season!  I don't  think that's going to happen!!

WOW!! I am speechless as to the finale. The only thing that kept on the edge of my seat was the whole "monster" thing. I can't figure out what it could possible be!! It is so weird. All I know is that according to some interview they had of the entire cast of LOST is that this "monster" is the most beautiful thing you could ever see. What is it? I don't know!! I can't possible wait till the season sytarts again!! AAAAA Well Um... wow yea J.J. Abrams is the best producer seriously. He left a cliffhanger on LOST nad on my other favorite show ALIAS. I was actually surprised the main charachers, Jack and Kate weren't on there. Not really a fan of Sayid but the actor is good. Him and Terry are up against each other. Terry all the way. I see Locke's back story, Walk About is up for something too. They are up against a show from HBO and The West Wing, and CSI I think for Best Drama. Got a lot of tech awards too from there awesome special effects. Good luck to Lost. Looking forward to seeing who wins. Not sure what date when the Emmys are on.

Just one more week with a rerun and LOST the second season will begin.

I have watched some of the reruns, and caught some things I missed the first time.  I hope the series can continue the momentum it established in its first year. 

Some questions:

What is in the Hatch?

What about Hurley's numbers?

Did everyone survive on the raft?

Who took Walt?  Is it "The Others" Danielle, the French Woman, keeps referring to?

In flashbacks, Jack is no longer married.  What happened?

I'm really looking forward to the new season of LOST.   And thanks for answering some of the questions.  Maybe we will find out just why the numbers are cursed and why they keep appearing.  Of course, the more mystery to the show, the more popular it will be, so I expect more questions than answers.

Fingers crossed Lost wins lot's of awards tonight at the Emmys and for Best Drama show!!!! I heard they won for Best Casting at the Tech awards last week.

This first show of LOST of the second season was really interesting.

We know now that the hatch is a rather large area where a man is living with a lot of creature comforts.  Running water, food, records.  And I taped it to watch it again more closely.  The man in the hatch is Desmond, a man that Jack encountered when he was running up and down steps in a stadium for exercise.  Desmond said that he "would see Jack in another life."

I'm starting to wonder if Jack is in a coma and imagining this whole series!!! :para :para

Still more questions than answers, but that's what keeps it interesting.  Nothing about the four on the raft.  And Shannon saw an apparition that looked like an older Walt.  That was curious.

Last nights Lost was awesome. It's very strange and interesting about what's in the hatch and wonder how long how Desmond has been there and what's he's doing. Very odd when he told Jack he'll see him in another life. It was funny in the beginning what looked like to be a man doing things in his house and it's in the hatch. Even has a shower and computer and lights flashing coming out of it was wicked. Wonder what happened with Kate?

Was that Jack's wife in the hospital in his flashbacks? I actually thought she was going to die. Something must have happened to her if they will be pairing Jack with the woman he met in the finale at the airport.

Interesting theory about Jack.

Loved Hurley last night.

I thought when Shannon saw Walt, he was giving her a hint that he was in danger.

I think next week we'll see what happens with Sawyer, Jin and Micheal on the raft and I think the next flashback story features Micheal.

I love this show. I was on the edge of my seat the whole time. I think it will be an exciting season.

I went to a LOST website, and there was speculation that the beginning scenes might have been a flashback of Desmond in his own apartment, but then it jumped to the present when Locke, Jack, and Kate caused the explosion that opened up the hatch. 

Did you notice the running shoes as Jack walked into the hatch area and how large the hatch area is?  Could  there be another entrance?  And why is Desmond there?  Is he responsible for some kind of government experiment?  So many possibilities.

I think Kate is okay, just being "detained" by Desmond as is Locke.  Will the three have to be rescued from the hatch?

Also,  remember that Walt has special powers.  He looked wet to me and as if he were telling Shannon to be quiet.  He had his finger up to his lips.

We're in for quite a "ride" this season!  Can't wait.

LOST was interesting tonight.  We saw more of what happened to the people on the raft, and it looks as if there are some scary characters on the island, too.

The other part seemed to be an expanded replay of what we saw last week with Locke, Kate, and Jack in the hatch.  We know a little more about the hatch, but not why Desmond is there.  I'm wondering if he has some sort of disease and needed to be quarantined.

We'll know more each week.

Hi Princess. Welcome. It's more questions to be answered isn't it. I didn't think about a disease spreading. You know when Locke typed in those numbers on the computer it was Hurley's lottery numbers. I thought something was going to explode. That's a good guess.

Hey Prissy. Lost was really good last night. Glad we got to see what happened with Kate and Locke when they went into the hatch. Kate was funny going for the chocolate when she saw all that food.

I was thinking Desmond could had not survived a plane crash like everybody else and he wasn't there for that long but don't know what the hatch is for or how all those things got in there.

I was so scared and wondered where Jin went. I think the island they are at with the others is another island cause I heard they won't be back to everyone else for a few episodes. They did look scary.

I felt bad for Michael losing Walt. Did not like Walt's mother. I liked that Sawyer recused Michael. Don't know how Sawyer can survive his accident. That had to hurt. The sharks were scary too. Was a cliffhanger at every part of the show. Can't wait for next week.

I'm loving Lost once again this year!

Okay...this is my take-  I think the Island is like a chasm that links the past with the present/future.  Maybe a way to change your own destiny????

Anyhow, the numbers that came up after Locke hit the "execute" button... you think it might be a timer for air in the hatch???

I'm glad Jin is still alive...Killing off cutie pie was a bummer; although, I think somehow, he'll be back!

Me too about Jin. At 1st I didn't like him and I wouldn't had cared if they killed him off but then they redeemed him and I start to like him more toward the end of last season.

A characher I heard will die sometime next month.

Oh and it was interesting Walt got a stuffed Polar Bear when Michael saw him as a little kid.

I'm not sure what to think of last night's show, Tiffany.  The raft guys, Michael, Sawyer and Jin, have been captured and are in a trap.   The girl from the plane turned against them and seems to be in cahoots with the "bad" guys.  Are all of these people from the plane, too?  Stay tuned.

It looks like Desmond was either duped into thinking he had to punch the numbers in every 108 minutes or that something dire will happen if he doesn't.  Strange!!

And Hurley seems happy to see all that food!

We saw flashbacks of Locke, but we still don't know what put him in a wheelchair, and we don't know what happened to Jack's wife.

Locke-do ya'll remember last year it showed flashbacks of him on the phone...wasn't he speaking with Helen when she says "I can't do this anymore." ...anyone else???  That was AFTER he was wheelchair bound.  I think he'd said the woman's name was Helen.  Glen can probably tell us...Glen???  (I don't have the first season on DVD or tape or anything...just relying on the ol' brain! LOL)

 I think pressing the button will be a bad thing and Hurley knew those numbers are cursed. That's why Jack lied about the last number. Also remember we found out a few weeks ago ghost Walt told Claire to not press the button? I wonder if that means she might do it then she might be the one to die. Just a prediction.

Janye- I think Locke's flashback was after the last one we seen. He has just met Helen in this one. I still like to know how he ended up in the wheelchair too.

That was surprising with Ana acting like one of the bad guys at the end. There is some predictions they could be castaways on that island too. Even Ross's husband could be there if it's true.

What is up with Jin speaking English next week? Whoa!!

When Jack mentioned his wife to Desmond, I think she died. Wonder if we'll see him again.

It seems that I'm not the only one though. Here is my take from the marathon of viewing that I have had the pleasure.

I agree with the Skinner model. BF Skinner was mentioned in the "Orentation" video. There seems to be a huge supply of food for the "original" experiment outlined in the movie. If the original experiment was to last 540 Days, they would have run out of food long ago. Haven't really figured out what he injects himself with, maybe vitamins.

The computer and video would suggest that the project started in the 80's with the major pre-work done in the late 70's or early 80's. The music in the station also supports this.

I think the "security system" is a series of things. I think the shark (S2-E3) is part of it also. I'll add a screen cap of the sharks tail to support this. Maybe the polar bears also.

Notice the Dharma logo, different from station 3: The Swan, but still similar. Maybe it's another stations symbol. This leads me to think that there might be 5 other stations either on the island or in the nearby water. Maybe the French woman (Danielle) was part too, the reason she killed all of her associates. Desmond was also worried about this due to the "quarentine" label on the hatch.

I'm not sure if the Helen and Locke phone conversation was prior to their meeting at the session or after. I would assume after because she tried to get rid of him on the phone. I think his nightly visits to his dad's house got old and he and Helen's relationship ended. I'm looking forward to seeing how he ends up in the wheelchair also.

Don't know much else to post. I guess I'll have more after this next episode. I'm glad I caught up....I think. It may just be a big Psyc study on all of us too! :bduh I know I'm going crazy over it now. :bang :roflmao

Another interesting LOST!

It was definitely Hurley's show tonight.  We got to see more flashbacks for Hurley and what his life was like before he let anyone know he had won the lottery.  I liked how he passed food out to everyone near the end of the show.

So now we know that Sawyer, Michael and Jin are with more survivors of the plane crash.  At first I thought the black man might be Rose's husband but it was someone else.  And I liked how she didn't eat her candy bar, but is saving it for her husband, Bernard. (Is that his name?)

What could be happening to this new group of survivors that their numbers are dwindling?  Are the "others" killing them off one by one;  I know this sounds gruesome, but have they resorted to cannibalism?

Will there be a reunion soon of the two groups of survivors?

Great Lost tonight and glad we could see a 2nd backstory with Hurley. Poor guy. Wonder why he didn't tell his friend at 1st and didn't want to give the food out to everyone. That was a great moment at the end with everyone eating.

I knew Jin speaking English had to had been a dream.

I knew that Rose's husband could be on that other island with the other survivors. It was nice to see her back cause I was wondering where she was.  I too Prissy thought it was the black guy at 1st and Berard is his name. Wonder also if they get to see the others as well. I know it's going to take a few episodes til Michael, Jin and Sawyer will be back on there Island.

Poor Sun. I bet she has feared something happened to Jin.

Him and his wife got robbed at gunpoint at their home in Hawaii. They said they don't think the robber recognized him. The robber also took their Mercedes when he left.

Lost was good Wednesday. You think that was Walt with the teddy bear Jin saw with the others? Felt bad for Sun losing her ring. I figured she losted it when she hid the bottle of the messages. I think with the flashbacks of Jin and Sun meeting for the 1st time means they'll get back together. Jin is more of a nicer guy now then he was in the beginning. Looks like Sawyer is beginning to care. I'm glad those other survivers aren't eating people. Was afriad of that.

When Sun was talking to Kate about how an object like a wedding ring meant so much to her, I thought we might see a flashback of Kate with the  object that meant so much to her, the small airplane that she killed for.

I'm guessing that the "others" have Walt. One of them had the Teddy bear.  And it looked like the same "legs" went passed twice.  Did you catch when the black man from the new group said that the others do not leave tracks when he identified Michael's footprint?  I'm guessing that the others are pirates of some kind?

Well, next week, we will see what happened to this new group off "Lost" people.  And the two groups will be united.  It is getting interesting!

Yep! I knew it. I predicted it was her because Boone died too. Would had liked to had seen Shannon seen Boone at her death in the end. It was so sad and sniff she loves Sayid. I liked them together. Interesting backstory. You are probably right that could be why Sayid saw Walt this time. Damn What a B***h Ana Lucia is for shooting her. I know she was scared cause of the others but still.

Liked the scenes with Locke and Claire with her baby. Still wonder if her baby is not normal.

I watched LOST this evening, and  I still like  the show, but it feels like it's not moving forward so much as  starting to plod a long.  I think it needs more action and momentum.  I know it's still a popular show, but it may start to lose fans if it doesn't step up a bit more.

Prissy- Was waiting to hear your opinions about the show recently. I understand your opinion. I know some people feel the same way. I'm still entertained and still get chills with the shocking moments like when Michael heard from Walt through the computer. Maybe he's in a hatch too with the others. Looks like they changed Kate's backstory about what she did. Her father was an ass. Was scary she saw his ghost through Sawyer. I like Mr. Ekco or whatever his name is. Hate Ana Lucia. My new favorite couple is Bernard and Rose.

Hi!  I fell asleep last night am sick so went to bed  what happened with Kate?  I'm guessing they accused her of killing her dad?  Did she?

Kate was in a house with the man her mother loved who evidently was abusive and drank a lot.  She helped put him in bed, then as she drove off on a motorcycle, the house blew up.  She went to see her mom who worked in a diner and gave her an insurance policy for the house.  Her mom kept asking, "What did you do?"  Kate left and didn't say.

In the next flashback she is talking to her dad in a military office.  She has discovered that he is not her real dad, but the man she blew up is.  She hugs him and calls him, "daddy,"  and asks for an hour's lead before he calls the authorities.

Kate is then at a teller's window getting cash and several plain clothes policemen or detectives are there, too.  Kate is captured and is handcuffed and in a car with the detective who was with her on the plane.  The car is in an accident and Kate knocks him out, pushes him out of the car and drives away with the handcuffs still on.  She sees a beautiful black horse before she leaves.

I think this all happened before she ends up hiding out with the farmer who eventually turns her in.

When Kate is taking care of Sawyer in the hatch, all of a sudden, Sawyer sits up, grabs her by the neck, starts choking her, and says, in her real father's voice, "Why did you kill me."

Kate goes wondering in the woods and sees the black horse again.

Later, with Sawyer, who is himself and now awake, she sees the black horse again in the jungle.

Additional notes:  Kate kisses Jack and in his delirium,  Sawyer says he loves Kate when Jack is with him.

Thanks for the previews Prissy. The actor who played Charlie was on Jimmy Kimmel last night and he said they are showing 2 new episodes. I thought the 1st one was just a recap and that's what it says there.  Hmmmmm

I saw a preview of Charlie and Mr. Eko asking about where he found the statue and Mr.Eko guessed it came from the plane. Looks good.

The first hour of LOST was just another recap.  I'm a little tired of the recap shows!! :bang

Then the new episode was mainly about Mr. Eko.   I don't mind the flashbacks to let us know about the characters, but I don't like the flashbacks taking up so much of the show.  I'd rather see more island adventures.  It's almost as if LOST is moving at a snail's pace.

But it's still a good show and I am still hooked on it!!

I know. We haven't had enough episodes to show this season yet for a recap and they had showed them all in reruns already. We don't need it.

I enjoyed last nights show. I like Mr.Eko and his background was interesting and then to find out that plane and his brother died on the island. I had a hunch the Virgin Mary's with drugs were his. I liked his and Charlie's scenes. Good for him not to be tempted to take the drugs. Was the black cloud that Eko stopped a monster? Whoa!!!! That was interesting he could stop it.

I wonder if Michael isn't really talking to Walt on the computer and it's a trap and what will happen since they aren't allowed to use the computer but put the code in.

I like the endings where we see everyone together. That smile from Hurley to Libby was sweet.

Looks like we might hear from the others next week.

Lost was interesting tonight. Glad we know now what happened with Jack's wife. I thought she died but she had an affair and lefted Jack. He didn't seem like he wanted to stay with her anyway. You know his patient in his backstory that died? The actor was on AMC and played Alex SR. Michael and Zack's dad. Took me a while to remember where I saw him from.

Hurley was funny with playing the albums and Sayid said, that sounds depressing.  :lol Him and Libby could make a cute couple.

Micheal got crazy to lock Locke and Jack in. Wonder if he got to see Walt if he saw that man that took him. Wish we can see where Walt is. That guy looks scary looking like a pirate as we thought. So it's war between them now. I bet next week they'll take Claire's baby since they got all the children. Hopefully more things will move along.

I enjoyed the new episode, too.  I feel like the show is finally moving forward. 

In the flashback, I also recognized the man that was Jack's patient as Alex Cambias, Sr. from ALL MY CHILDREN.  And now we know what happened to Jack's wife.

The "other" or "pirate" that made himself known to Jack, Locke, and Sawyer was odd looking.  And now we know that the "others" are real people.  I think that Michael got his information from the computer to where to look for Walt.

I dread a storyline where something could happen to the baby.  Maybe it is just a dream of Charlie's.

Can't wait for new Lost. There are so many shows I'm watching tonight. Watching the Grammys, Lost and AI and had to tape my soaps today.

RECAP:

I kid you not.  Claire found out a lot.  As usual, the guys are looking hot.  Fortunately, nobody got shot.  You did get to see Locke wash a pot.  I was so into it, I  nearly formed a clot.  The numbers were entered, on the dot.  On Claire's baby, there was many a spot.  Eko saw blankets laying on the cot.  A lot of information, Rousseau has got.  A second I did not miss, not a jot.  Someone has still been left in the vault to rot.  There was no liquor, so there could be no sot.  Not even a little tot.  Through the forest, the ladies did trot.  Methinks that next week there may be a little plot.  To Kate, a gun did Sawyer allot.  Did I mention that Kate and Sawyer got it on?  NOT!

The episode last night did give us something new about what happened to Claire when she was missing for that period of time.  But of course, more questions than answers.

Who were those people?  How did they set up all of this on the island; operating room; nursery?  Where did all the supplies come from?  Claire seemed very friendly toward Ethan, but in an episode last season, she was terrified of Ethan, and he was a scary dude!

It looks like the man they have captured who may be an "other," is trying to play Locke against Jack and succeeding.

Claire remembers more bits and pieces of her abduction at the hands of Ethan Rom, and it involves some kind weird doctor's office/operating room in which she's getting a big belly needle from a doctor-esque Ethan. And she seems quite happy to be there, but that can be easily explained by the massive sedating Ethan seems to be doing, down in yet another Dharma hatch -- this one with the Caduceus symbol, but I think I'm going to call it Dharma Feelgood, for the benefit of everyone who knows that Tommy Lee was once in a band. There's a nursery down there, which is for the baby, and an apologetic Ethan explaining to Claire about how there's only enough vaccine for her or the baby, which they'll be looking after when they send Claire back to her camp. She also remembers Ethan talking to Gruffy McScruffenbeard, only he's not so scruffy and is in fact beardless.
See, in the present day, Turniphead is sick, and Claire is convinced -- despite Jack (who we know is actually a doctor) telling her that it's just a fever -- that she needs medicine from the scary people who abduct pregnant women, try to kill their ersatz bodyguards, and wield giant belly-needles. Makes sense to me. Kate gets a gun from Sawyer, presumably because Claire told her about the little toy planes in the nursery, and she and the other two Craphole's Angels (Rousseau being the third) go traipsing off in search of various landmarks in Claire's returning memory. They find the now-abandoned Dharma Feelgood, which no longer has a nursery and no longer has any medicine. However, Kate finds the grimy rags that the Others wear when they're out and about, hanging up in some lockers, as well as theatrical glue and a fake beard. It's almost like we can't trust these people whose hobbies include kidnapping pregnant women, hanging bass players, and blowing up recreational rafters.

Speaking of trust, Claire still doesn't have any for Rousseau, since one of her memory fragments is of Rousseau grabbing at her, which we've presumed to be part of the abduction. Comes now the revelation that Rousseau actually saved Claire from the Others, and that Claire was helped on the inside by a woman who in all likelihood is Rousseau's daughter, Alexandra. Rousseau is so taken with the possibility of her own daughter being alive and well that she tells Claire that she hopes Aaron isn't infected, but if he is, Claire's gonna have to kill him (she doesn't use the word "kill," but that's what she means). Fortunately, it turns out that Aaron really did just have a fever, and he's fine. Also, he has a huge head. It's about as proportional as Stewie Griffin's.

Elsewhere, the power struggle (if you can call it a struggle) is starting to flare up between Jack and Locke, and Henry is starting to exploit that, either because he really is an Other, or he's just trying to stir up shit and somehow be able to escape. Eko comes in to spout some mumbo-jumbo and he cuts off those little scraggly beard bits on his chin. Which, thank God, because they were starting to bug me for absolutely no reason that I can articulate.

There are also two books featured in this episode. When I write the recap proper, I will tell you, as I have done with two other featured works of literature, to check out the first word on pages 4, 8, 15, 16, 23 and 42, because it forms a sentence that could be a hint. As with the other times I've done this, I will be lying, and I will remind you in the recap that I have lied before and am clearly not to be trusted. And yet, the day after the recap goes up, I will receive email from people wanting to know whether I'm talking hardcover or paperback. Just warning you.

It's been a while since we talked about Lost. Thanks for coming gals. It was a great episode. This was the 1st time we didn't get a flashback episode but just from Claire's memories on where she was when Ethan took her.

Prissy- It was creepy when Ethan kidnapped Claire and he was all nice to her and she even liked him when he was playing doctor. Ofcourse he gave her drugs to act like that. How in the world did they make a room for her baby and planes as a moble? Just weard things all around. And you noticed also where they were was a Dharma symbol on it. It was also weard that no one was even there when Kate, Claire and the French woman got there.

It was interesting to know that Danielle was trying to save her. I wonder if the same thing happened to her baby and they did the same thing to her. Her baby died so I got a little afriad that Claire's baby could die too but then she told her she had to figure out what to do to save him.

The woman that told Claire to get out of there and made her lose her memory was Alex.

I did hear that Henry is indeed an other. I thought Eko was going to kill him. They had an interesting converstion. Locke was played for a fool.

Christie- I heard it might be reruns for a few weeks now but don't know when the next new show is. I had to record it and watch it after AI. Hated it also it was on at the same time.

I still have the feeling that LOST is a work in progress, and the writers are coming up with new ideas all the time.  I'm not sure how far in advance they have their story arcs thought out.

Interesting Lost tonight.  I knew Henry was an other. How in the world did Sun get pregnant? It seems like she's not telling Jin something else when she told him. I was thinking he wasn't the father and it could had been the other guy. It was sweet when Jin said, I love you in English but man in the beginning hated him losing him temper on her like that. Funny they had a pregnancy test on the island and it was funny when she bumped into Hurley. I really want to know how she got pregnant. If the last time she had sex wasn't on the island then she would be showing now you know. Just weard.

Sun has definitely had relations with Jin on the island.  Don't you remember their reunion?  Also, miracles happen on the island.  Locke isn't using his wheelchair anymore, is he?  Remember Charlie's guitar?  It showed up in the tree above him.  I think they wanted us to believe Sun had an affair but I am positive she wouldn't swear to Jin he was the only one if he wasn't.

I believe that Sun is pregnant with Jin's baby.

That's true that the island is magic. I hope you are right that it's his but it would be drama if she kept something from him. I'm glad she decided to tell him right away.

I am sure it is his.  There is no way she could have smiled at the end if she was keeping that kind of secret from him.

LOST was really good last night.  I'm glad they showed more of what is happeinig on the island.  I think it's funny that Sawyer had a pregnancy test.  He seems to have everything!!

I think the island is "magic" in a way, like you all said, Locke being able to walk and Sun now able to have a baby.  Remember when Sun was captured and found injured?  It wasn't an Other, but didn't she lie out in the forest for a while unconscious?  I don't think this will be as simple as Jin and Sun are having a baby.  There will be some "drama" to it.

I love me some LOST!

What a show last night. I was hoping since we had so many Locke flashbacks and we saw his legs got hurt when he got trapped in the hatch (Ouch!)  that we would find out how he ended up in the wheel chair. From the story with his father thought those guys would shoot him. He was stupid to trust Henry or whatever his name is but it was interesting even though he's an other, he helped him. I thought he would escape and not put in the numbers in the computer. Those symbols were freaky. I heard the women who got Locke's father's house was Sayid's girlfriend. Yeah for Sayid finding out that Faux Henry set his story up. He stole someone's name. I do wonder if some of the others are evil or nice. Liked the Sawyer and Jack scenes playing cards.

Next week we get a Hurley flashback.

On other boards I hear other people complaining about Lost and how boring or stupid it has become.  I am not one of them.  I love it as much as ever.

Good show last night. Poor Hurley. That imaginery friend of his was messing with his mind. I don't think the island is all a dream of his. What a shocker about Libby. She was a mental patient too. I heard she was at the same mental hospital but didn't expect to see that. SHe's pretty good pretending to be shrink. I do think they make a sweet couple.
It was amusing when Hurley was fighting with Sawyer and Jin was laughing.  :lol

I was wondering if Henry didn't put in the numbers in the computer last week. Was right and it was went back to the same time. Weard There is something creepy about him.

Jack mentioned Walt and Michael next week. Hope we get to see them before the season is over.

I thought LOST was really good last night. Could the whole show exist only in Hurley's mind??? (Shades of DALLAS the time that Pam dreamed a whole year of shows!!).  Did you notice that when Libby was following after Hurley at the end to go back to the beach, she stopped smiling when he wasn't looking at her? :para Hurley's imaginary friend reminded me of Russell Crowe's A BEAUTIFUL MIND.

Henry is the UnHenry!  Did he punch in the numbers or not?  Is he one of the Others? Always more questions than answers but that's what keeps it interesting.

Rose is surprisingly and vehemently opposed to Bernard's plan to create an S.O.S. signal; romantic sparks are rekindled between Jack and Kate when they trek into the jungle to propose a "trade" with "The Others"; and Locke begins to question his faith in the island.

Cool on seeing more of Rose and Benard.  I like Kate with Sawyer better and rather see Jack with Ana Lucia but looks like they are doing Jack and Kate. Sounds good anyway.  Thanks Prissy.

Ooooh I am liking these past few eppys of LOST

Libby...silly silly Libby...first she was on Guiding LIght playing the crazy lady, now she's on LOST playing another crazy lady!! lol

Locke is questioning his faith in the island? He should have done that when the doors shut and nearly chopped off his leg.

And I am sorry but I do not like the whole Kate/Jack ship. I like Kate/Sawyer. But I am little bitter toward Evangeline b/c she is dating Dom (Charlie) in real life. lol. But Anyway, I like the whole Kate/Sawyer. Something about Sawyer...he is a mean and nasty conman but there is something so appealing about him that makes me like him A LOT. Although I don't see why we should rule out a love triangle where Kate plays both guys...its LOST this some has some odd events...this doesn't seem like something that would be too out of the ordinary.

I think Sayiid and Ana Lucia might be seeing eye-to-eye in a love/hate sort of relationship.

Is the baby really Jin's? I don't think it is...even though Sun looked him in the eye and swore to him that the baby wasn't his. hmmm And another baby? oh well at least Aaron will have someone to play with.

Michael should be coming back soon according to E! And we should see Desmond before the season finale.

I have a major spoiler about Libby that my friend informed me of. If you are iterested in the spoiler just PM me and I'll let you know. It's crazy!!!

With Sayid and Ana Lucia. I wouldn't had forgiving her so quickly for killing/shooting Shannon. Can't see them together.

I questioned that too about if Sun is having Jin's baby. I thought since we saw her with that other guy and she spent time with him teaching her English she might of had an affair with him. If it was true we would had seen it in the flashback. So I'm just guessing she got pregnant by the magic of the Island.

Lost was good last night. Was nice to see more of Rose and Bernard and there back story. The min Rose said she was dieing, I knew that staying on the Island had cured her. So she knew it when she saw Locke had no wheelchair anymore after they crashed. The Island might be magicial but bad too with the others there. Michael's back!!!! Curious to know if he found Walt.

Jack and Kate bring an exhausted Michael back to the camp, and with him, news about "The Others." Meanwhile, Ana Lucia attempts to get the prisoner to confess, and Hurley plans a surprise date for Libby.



There is a long article about LOST in the TV Guide for next week.  It does say that Michael was paid for the entire time he was not on the show.  Also, Terry O'Quinn (Locke) said that any one of them could be killed off this season.  We will learn more about the hatch and why it is there.

WOW!  The ending of LOST this evening was very surprising.  Michael shoots Ana and Libby, and he looks like he tries to shoot himself.  I wonder if he has been brainwashed???  And are Ana and Libby dead?

And Henry said he was coming for Locke.  Was that to have Locke join the Others?  Also, Michael's description of the Others, that they can easily be overtaken.  I'm not sure he can be believed. 

As LOST winds down for this season, I think we are in for some surprises.

Wow! My prediction on who died could be right. Ana Lucia looks dead to me but that was a shocker that Michael shot her then Libby then Henry? I actually had a thought that the others could brainwash MIchael into being one of them. I guess they told him to kill everyone and he had no control over that. Wow! We saw Michael in the previews so he's not dead. I hope Libby isn't dead. I thought I heard she'll have a back story. Poor Hurley if she is.

That was interesting that Henry wanted Locke and said he was one of the good guys too.

I was going to remember if we seen the guy who was with Ana Lucia. Said he used to be a doctor. Was that Jack's father? I couldn't tell.  Was cool she saw Sawyer in her backstory. Yuck on them having sex though for her to get the gun.

I don't believe that either that the others can be overtaken. Not surprised Michael didn't find Walt yet. I've been wondering if Walt really didn't want to go back and stay with the others instead. Guess we have to wait and see.

I love Sweeps. The Good stuff is coming.

Lost was good last night.  I agree with Prissy, looks like Michael may have shot himself in the arm as he had a sling on in the previews.  And maybe he did that to make them think Henry tried to escape and killed/shot the others.

The article in TV Guide said that Ana Lucia's jail sentence would not interfer with her being on Lost.  But someone dies according to what Kate said in the previews.

Yes, that was Jack's Dad with Ana Lucia.  It is very interesting how all these peoples lives have intersected at some point or another.

I actually thought with Henry if Michael was brainwashed he would let him out also. Maybe he did try to kill himself too but you see he is still alive.

I read that too but in the previews they said that Ana Lucia is dead so I don't know. I didn't think they'll have someone die this soon.

I read somewhere else that there is speculation that Claire is possibly Jack's half sister......oh what a tangled web we weave!!!!!!!!!!

I'm not sure that Libby is dead!  Remember she had something in front of her when Michael shot her, and I thought I saw her in some previews.  I don't think that Jack, Locke, or Kate realize that Michael is the shooter!!

I don't think they know either that Michael shot them. In the previews this week it seems like he's doing something that's out of control like we see Mr.Eko falling down. I hope we get to see what happened with Michael when he met with others.

OT: JJ Adams is going to direct Jimmy Kimmel's show on Friday and the actor who plays Charlie will be the guest. I wonder if they will be Lost.  :lol

In last night's LOST, Libby did die, but first she said Michael's name.  No one realized she was trying to say that Michael shot her.

It was interesting that Mr. Eko and Locke found another hatch.  And one where they can watch what's happening.  My thought was if the cameras are recording on tapes, then there may be a video of Michael shooting Ana, Libby and himself.

OMG I cried when Libby died and was so sad for Hurley. I'm a sap. Don't think they would figure out right away that Michael shot her either.I think Michael is either pretending or not remembering what happened.

I think Henry escaped either way too.

I heard in Eko's backstory the woman that gave him a message at the airport was Claire's psychic.

When Locke saw a vision of Eko walking up that cliff and falling down thought it would be like what happened with Boone. Cause you remember he saw Boone in that plane and died before it actually happened.

I knew we would see another hatch. Guess it's the other's hatch cause Michael last week did say they have one. That explains how they know so much about them cause of the cameras in there watching them.

I didn't understand the video. THey were some things missing with what that guy was saying like the other one at 1st.

When I saw they had a computer too wonder if that was where Walt used it when he talked with Michael a while back.

Hope we get a lot of answers before the finale in 2 weeks. I can't wait.

Can't believe the season finale is next week.

Lost was interesting the other night. Michael saw where the other are and we finally saw Walt. When he said they are making him take tests, guess it's like they are experimenting him. I wonder why that woman wanted only Jack, Sawyer, Hurley and Kate? It's good that Sayid is started to suspect Michael. Jack is clueless. Wonder who is on the boat. Oh and one of the others, Her name is Alex.She asked if Claire was ok.  SHe's the french woman's daughter and was the one that helped Claire get out of where the others took her. I thought they must had done something else to Michael to get him to kill Ana Lucia and Libby but it was his doing? Next week's finale should be really good.

Who knew that if you didn't punch in the numbers, that is the thing that made the plane crash.

Locke is an idiot but he at least he admitted he was wrong.

Have we seen Desmend's girlfriend before? Trying to remember. How in the world and who are those guys at the end who called her and said they found him? How weard we saw snow and a 4 toe foot.

So Henry is the leader of the others. Interesting he says they are the good guys.

Wonder where Walt and Michael would go if they can't get out of the island. I heard the actor who plays Michael won't be on much next year.

Still some questions need to be answered. Didn't want it to be over.

I'm starting to wonder if the Others and the plane survivors are the only people still alive on earth????  When Henry said they were the good guys, it made me wonder.  And if they took the children, is it to be sure they are taken care of and can help repopulate the earth?

I know this is far-fetched, but who knows where they are going at this point.  And I think there will be more connections discovered among the LOST folks.

And did Desmond cause the plane to crash when he didn't get the buttons punched in?

And the guy with Desmond in the hatch was the same military officer who helped Sayid in a flashback.

Actually, the writers can make up anything they want.  They can go in any direction and we will follow along!! :lol

I don't like the reruns that much, so I will be ready for a new season of LOST!!

Hey there Prissy. I was thinking about writing something today about Lost that I read on E online.

The guy who plays Michael will be off the show now. At 1st he was going to be recurring and still be shown but not as much but now I guess he's gone.

Not sure about Walt. They said it's possible he could still pop up. It's still much story to tell with him like his special powers and what The Others made him do. etc  THat's a shame if we don't see him that much at all anymore.

Not watching the reruns either. Watching another show on Wednesdays right now.

LOL I guess anything is possible with the writers and they could even make up a predicting like yours. They said they were making Walt take tests. We know one of the others was evil cause he tried to kill Charlie but he helped Claire so who knows. And Henry likes Locke. I'm surprised they didn't want him with the others with the other crew they wanted to make him help them or something.

I got that Desmond didn't push the button and didn't release it caused the plane to crash.

That's right about the other guy that was with him.

Oh and after the explosion in the hatch, I heard no one died cause you didn't know if Eko or Locke made it out alive. We know Charlie did.

Also heard spoilers that they'll make more of a triangle with Sawyer/Jack/Kate.

Can't wait already for the new season.

I am looking forward to the new season of Lost.

Sometimes I feel like I am wishing my life away when I can't wait for Clay's CD, Survivor and Lost, oh, yes, seeing Clay 2 times in Dec.! :purpbana

Could anyone give me a brief summary of yesterday's show.  I am a die hard fan who never misses an episode, however, due to a bad storm and subsequent power outage at my house, I have not had any electricity at home since Monday night at 10 p.m. (CST).  I am using my work computer now.    I don't need every detail -- (I'll catch up on that later) but please could you give me the main/big moments that occured.    Thanks.   - Kathy

I'll try.

In the beginning we saw the new characher Juliet in her house and listening to music and burnt her muffins. Then she had some people over for a book club discussion and then they felt an earthquake and everyone went outside and saw the plane go down to the Island. We saw Henry and Ethan come out of there too. It's was like a normal place to live then from a distance there was the Island. Very surprising.

Jack had the backstory. He was in this room that he couldn't get out of and then we see Juliet come in to talk to him and asking questions about him then later she said she knew all about him. His backstory was about her wife having her affair and finding out who it was. Thought it was his dad at 1st cause they kept on calling each other but he was just helping her. We did see her boyfriend but don't think it was anyone we knew. Jack asked Juliet how his wife was and some how she knew and said she was happy.

He tried to open the door and all this water came in and she said if he did that he would die. Juliet managed to save them. Then later she went outside and Henry was standing there and we found out his real name is Ben.

Kate was in some locker room and this guy told her to take a shower and put a dress on then she went outside and saw Henry/Ben and he was having breakfast and put hankcuffs on her if she wanted some.

Sawyer was trapped in a cage and there was a cage right beside his with another guy. He escaped and let Sawyer escape too but the people caught him and put him back in. He saw a buttom with a knife and fork and pressed it a few times. He got food out of it. THen later they put Kate in a cage too and he let her share his food.

Weard season opener. We'll see more of the other charachers next week.

That was a great summery on the season opener.  The way that the "Others" were in a normal setting and saw the plane go down is very curious!!  Just where are the LOST people?  Are they closer to civilization than they realize???  Always more questions than answers.

I thought Henry/Ben or someone said in the finale that you couldn't go anywhere else off the Island and you wonder where Michael and Walt will end up. Odd the others have houses and on the island they stay in tents. ok

I was glad to see LOST get back to the other people on the island, Locke and Charlie, Mr. Ecko,  Hurley, Desmond, etc.  It was interesting to have more of Locke's back story, too.   I'm not sure this show is going to continue to hold my interest, but I will watch a few more weeks.

Just weard to have Poler Bears attacking on the island. Glad Eko is alive.

Hurley was funny when he told Desmond something blew up his underwear.  :lol

I thought with Locke's backstory we were going to find out how he ended up in a wheelchair but I do believe we will find out this season. Never would had guessed he had pot with those people.

It was cool to see Boone and creepy to see Locke in the airport and we saw Ben/Henry there.

Noticed they are new charachers on the Island now but they don't look like others.

Next week looks sad when Sawyer is being tortured and we are suppose to find out if Kate loves Sawyer or Jack.

I just cannot watch LOST anymore.  It is halfway through tonight's episode and the cruelty and brutality that is being inflicted on Kate, Jack, and especially, Sawyer, is more than I can take.  I miss the show that it used to be .

If you continue to watch, I will stop in here to see what is happening, but I just don't like the direction the show has taken. Hopefully, it will get better later on in the season.

Looks like there will be another show in it's place starting in 3 weeks. I don't know how long that will go on. I guess it could had been reruns anyway and they are starting out this new show for a few weeks instead.

Anyway, It was pretty bad seeing Sawyer being tortured tonight. Ben/Henry is really creepy.

The only highlight was that I think he's in love with Kat. Grrrrrrr on Kate saying she lied that she loved him. I wanted to believe it.

I can say it's interesting that Desmond is psychic.

I know it's getting all confusing but I still am interested.

I didn't know this thread was here!  I love Lost!!  I never miss it!  They have really moved along pretty quickly so far.

There will be 2 short seasons - this one ends in 3 weeks and then doesn't start back up again until January.  They didn't want to do what they did last year and have a couple original episodes and then repeats all season long - people got really upset so this time they broke it up into 2 mini seasons.  When it comes back in January (or Feb., I can't remember) it will play original shows until the finale in May.

Glad I was wrong on that one. Whew!! They did that to Alias one year. Thanks for explaining. I'll miss it when it's not on but I don't usually watch it when they show reruns anyway.

Loving Sawyer too but poor guy being tortured all the time. I want Sawyer and Kate together. That kiss was hot a few weeks ago. I wish she did love him and I believe he loves her.

I loved Sawyers back story this past week.  When he set up that bank account for his daughter, I almost cried!!

This week's show looks good too.  Did you see in the previews where Ben has a tumor on his spine and they want Jack to operate?  Should be interesting!!  Might be his ticket to get in good with the "others".  So where do you think Michael and his son are?  Are they gone for good or will they show up later??

I taped LOST and then watched it.  Glad there was no torture of Sawyer last night.  I'm sorry to see Mr. Eko die.  He was a "larger than life" character.  The black smoke that "whipped" him to death is evil.  And evidently, he was not seeing his brother.  Evil on the island and the Others seem evil to me.

I don't know if Jack can trust Juliet or not.  We will see what happens if he operates.  Will the doctor or the survivor in him win out.

I see that Sayid is back with Locke, Hurley, Charlie, etc.  What happened to Sun and JIn?  I did not watch the second half of last week's show;  too brutal for me.

I have fallen asleep during Lost the past two weeks. I never used to do that no matter how tired I was. I think that I am going to have to record it and watch the next day.

As I understand it, the episode tonight is the last one for a while.  I have not watched it yet, but taped it.  I did see a little already of the beginning.  It looked like a scene I had already seen; but maybe that was from the link Lori posted.

I don't think it's a good idea to have such a gap in the middle of the season, but they didn't want to do reruns, so.....?????   Why not go ahead and finish the season, and then show reruns in sequential order and not skip around like they've done before.

I must say that the series MONK shows about 12 or so episodes, then stops and repeats them for a few weeks, then starts up again.  There is not a normal TV season anymore.  Different shows start at different times during the year.

I thought it was a good episode and what a cliffhanger.

1st of all I have to do an Eeeeeeeeeeee with Sawyer and Kate making love and he told her he loved her. Awwwww I think Kate loves both him and Jack.

That's odd in her back story after what she did she got married to a cop.

I knew Jack would have no choice to do Ben's surgery and they were getting ready to kill Sawyer. ACK Thank god they got interuppted when Jack talked to Kate.

Oh and Charlie should had been there when they buried Eko. I think Locke saw on his stick something about going north.

It's getting crazy and confusing.

If this is your last show Prissy, I still will understand if you want to stop watching.

Last night's episode was a good one!!!!!!!!  But this show is soooooooo confusing about the time I get something figured out they throw me a curve!!!!!!  Was glad to see Sawyer and Kate get together.....altho I think she does have feelings for Jack too!?!?!?!?!?!? 

Guess we will be back in February!!!!!!!

I just watched my tape of LOST and it held my interest.  I felt like Jack had something up his sleeve when he agreed to do the surgery.  And it's always good to have a back story.  I really liked this one with Kate. 

I am glad to see the other characters, too;  Locke, Desmond, Charlie.  But what about Bernard and his wife, the black woman;  can't recall her name?

Now we have to wait until February to find out what happens.  I did notice in the clips for the next show that Sawyer was running with Kate,.....so that means Sawyer wasn't shot.

Questions:  WHY DO THE OTHERS HAVE TO BE SO MEAN?  WHAT IS GOING ON WITH THEM ANYWAY?

So much happened last night - I loved Sawyer and Kate getting together.  Poor Jack - he really loves Kate too to let her go like that.

So Sawyer is running with Kate in the previews - he gets away too.  I'm sure Ben will live - I don't think we have seen the last of him.

Plus, why is that one guy hating Sawyer so much - he blames him for his wife/girlfriend dying but it was Sun that killed her!

John was funny in his eulogy to Eko - wonder what that means "look to the North"???

I did tape it and went back and watched the parts with Juliet again;  especially when the bus hit her ex-husband.  It happened so fast!!  Evidently, she has been held on the island against her will.

I did like this episode better than some of last season's.  And it will be good to have Kate and Sawyer back with the plane crash survivors.

Wow! What a crazy episode with Desmond. Oh my gosh if he's right that Charlie dies. Was interesting Desmond went back in time before he was on the island. I remember seeing his girlfriend on the season finale and she finds out where he is. So when he pressed the button in the hatch the lady said that was the greatest thing he's ever done. Well that went up in smoke.

That was really confusing about Desmond.  Is he jumping back and forth in time?  And if he is, does he know how the Island Adventure will end?  And will Charlie die?  I must say so far, this season is more interesting to me than the last season of shows!!

Lost has really been awesome so far this part of the season!  Apparently the ratings are doing very well.  This week 3 questions get answered!  Can't wait to find out what they are!

Desmond turned out to be a real cutie patootie too, didn't he?  I think he was mixing up his past with his present.  I also read that Ecko wanted off the show, that is why they killed him off and they really regretted getting rid of his character so quickly.  It sounded liked he and John didn't get along very well.  And I think Michael may come back but not until next season.  This was all from an article in Entertaiment magazine.

I taped LOST and watched it last night.  Interesting about the tatoos on Jack's arm.  They seem somehow connected to everything happening.  I think Jack is starting to care about Juliet.  I thought his reaction to seeing the people taken by the Others was odd.  It seems like he would have been more interested in them and asked them questions instead of getting so angry with them. :scratch

Now we know that the Others work on the small island but live on the big island where the other survivors are.  It will be satisfying to see Kate and Sawyer back with the other survivors. 

This is kind of funny.  I was surfing different channels and came across the actor who plays Desmond.  I thought, oh, is this a repeat of LOST?  No, he was playing Jesus in a movie!  :smile

It was a good episode.

I know a lot of people wanted to know in the beginning what Jack's tattoo's meant. We know he's a leader but that's interesting about what the woman in his back story said about how he is with women.

I think him and Juliet are starting to care for each other too. Starting to feel sorry for her.

You're right about Jack's reaction to the others that were taken.Those were the kids that were on the other island that were also in the back of the plane with Ana Lucia.Still wish we knew what they did with Walt before he lefted with MIchael.

So they are taken Jack to those houses that we saw in the beginning of the season.

I like Carol. Was funny when Sawyer asked if he heard of THe Brady Bunch. Wonder how long he's been on the island if he hasn't heard of them.

Good scenes with Kate and Sawyer. I think Kate cares about both him and Jack and it shows that Sawyer is in love in her.

That's cool you saw the actor who plays Desmond in a movie. He kindof has the looks of Jesus.  :lol

You know that actress that was in Jack's back story met Clay in Asia when he was there for Unicef 2 years ago. I thought I seen her somewhere before.

Now in last night's LOST episode, in Sayid's back story, wasn't the woman who accused him of torturing her, the same woman he loved and was trying to save in Iraq?  Did I miss something there?  Poor Sayid;  always being beat up and tortured.  And Locke is too curious with computers!  :lol

It was fun seeing Hurley beat Sawyer at ping pong. 

I taped the show and will probably watch parts of it again.  Did Sun look pregnant?  I don't recall if she did or not;  I will check when I rewatch.

OH my gosh!!   Claire and Jack are brother and sister???  Wow, that was a shock!!!

That was shocking that Jack and Claire are brother and sister!  :shocking Then my mom reminded me about how in a past episode, Jack's father was having Ana Lucia follow Claire's mother, and how Ana heard from the car Claire's mother screaming at him to stay away from her daughter, and I was like, "Oh now it makes sense!" Cause then I remembered thinking they were brother and sister back then!  :bouncy And I loved when Locke just picked up that eye patch guy and threw him at the force field thing, that was such a tough guy move!  :bigsmile I can't wait to see Locke's back story about how he came to be in a wheelchair next week, and Ben's telling him he knows why he was in wheelchair?! Are we ever going to find out how these "others" people know so much about everyone in the plane crash?  :dunno ~Kelly~

I had a thought also last season if Claire and Jack were brother and sister. Was trying to remember that flashback. Thanks Kelly.

How in the world did Kate, Locke and Sayid find those houses on the island where the others took Jack.

Finally we will know how Locke ending up in the wheelchair.

Wow!  A really good LOST episode this evening with a real surprise at the end.
 
Finally, we know how Locke got in the wheel chair.  And it did look as if Jack and Juliet were going to leave on the submarine.   When Locke opened the door at the end I thought we would have to wait until next week to see what was behind it.

It was indeed strange and bizarre!  And it was a story complete in itself.  It was interesting how they tied these two characters into other plots that we have seen as the show has progressed.  It also made me wonder if they really went back and reshot all of those scenes when the plane crashed??

The story was really well written and had a Twilight Zone ending!  But these are two characters we do not know, and really don't care about.  I would still rather see Bernard and his wife and have more stories to do with the characters we have seen and come to know over a long period of time.

This was an episode that you could remove from the sequence of shows and it wouldn't make a difference at all!

Prissy, I totally agree, it was a show unto itself and definitely a Twilight Zone (or Alfred Hitchcock) type ending.  Good point about the scenes at the crash site.  At first I was beginning to wonder if I had just missed a show and had totally missed these two characters.  I hope they tie up all the loose ends eventually.

Hello!

This was a good LOST episode.  But the flashbacks were not of Desmond in the army, but Desmond in a monastery.  Desmond had a vision of Charlie being killed but was going to sacrifice Charlie to make the vision come true, and hopefully his true love, Penny would rescue him.

In the end, he saved Charlie's life and possibly changed the outcome of the vision.

Only four more episodes, I believe.  I like these episodes much better than seeing the Others brutalizing Kate, Sawyer and Jack.

In "Catch - 22" I couldn't believe Desmond was actually going to let Charlie die! :shocking I can't imagine if Charlie had died when that's not even Penny.  :para And then in "D.O.C.", I'm never more confused then when I watch LOST!  :lmao How is the eyepatch guy still alive? He even said "Like your friend pointed out, I already died once this week."  :bduh And what is with that island? Jin was sterile, but since coming there he gets Sun pregnant, but yet nobody can have kids there? What is Ben going to do to Sun, since Juliet is still reporting to him? And just who is that woman that fell from the sky? She was talking in all those different languages, and what she said at the end? What was that?  :bang Is this purgatory, if they're all dead, like everyone thought originally? *So Confused, but still interested!*  :bigsmile ~Kelly~

That was spooky at the end when the gal who fell from the sky said that their flight wreckage had been discovered and no one survived.  Did they see bodies?  The island is strange so or these LOST survivors in a kind of Purgatory?  They all seem to have problems and "issues unresolved."

Three more episodes to a Finale and we will know more.

Hello!

Because of storm coverage on our local stations, LOST was not shown last Wednesday, but I was able to watch it on ABC.com!!  It is eerie how everyone seems connected on the island.  Locke's father was the man Sawyer had been lookiing for who caused the suicide/death of his parents.

 Next episode: The Man Behind the Curtain

Ben unwillingly divulges information to Locke about the island, taking him on a journey to various locations including strange monuments and the mysterious Jacob. Back at the beach, Juliet's secret is revealed. Flashbacks will show us the origins of DHARMA and the history of the island, including 'the purge'.

Did you all see that Lost will end in 2010?  They signed for 3 more seasons but now it won't come on until January of each year (like "24" does) for 16 weeks.   At least this way the questions will all get answered and there will be a real finale.

I did see (or read) that there will be 48 more episodes, 16 each season, and then a finale. 

The episode tonight was interesting and did answer some questions.  The Dharma Initiative was a real experiment;  all of those people were killed leaving another group.  But who are they and how did they get on the island??

The van Ben and his father were in was the van that Hurley found earlier in the season.

Ben sees his dead mother much like Jack kept seeing his dead father.

And is Locke really dead?  Will he survive the shooting by Ben.  And is Jacob the black smoke or invisible force the survivors encounter at times?

Still more questions than answers, but we're getting there.

I believe this is the season's two hour finale and there is a special on about LOST an hour before the finale.

What a finale for LOST!  Great episodes!  Now, why can't we have good writing all the time like this for the series.

I thought we were seeing a flashback of Jack in the scenes with him in a beard, but when Kate showed up at the end and he talked about how they had all been given gold passes to fly wherever they wanted;  then I thought this must be a scene from the future.    But earlier in the hospital, Jack told the doctor in charge he could call his father upstairs, the other Dr. Shepherd.  ???????

I loved the scene when Hurley came to the rescue in the old van.  The actor playing Hurley had been on JK show the night before and said that when he read the script he was really moved.  Now, I see that he was thrilled about the role Hurley played in the episode.

Is Charley really dead?  I'm guessing so.  But with this show, who knows.

It looks like the rescue ship will not be a rescue ship but more problems for the plane survivors.  After all, we have two more years of shows.

I almost gave up on LOST with all the brutality shown to Sawyer, Kate, and Jack when they were captives of The Others, but the show has redeemed itself, in my opinion, with this last season.

I am a little behind as I was traveling when the finale aired but finally watched it and thought it was very good.......even if confusing.  I am always left talking to the TV when it ends.

Prissy, did you notice that when they were on the island Jack's stubble has a lot of grey in it but they had supposedly left the island his full beard was totally dark????

I am so late posting this! But I've watched the finale a couple times now, and Prissy, I thought those were flashbacks too, with Jack and his beard, especially when he said to call his father! Is he still alive somehow?
And what about when Jack, with his beard, went to that funeral, that nobody attended, who was it who died? When he asked Kate if she went, she said something like, "Why would I?" If it was someone from the island, she's called them all 'friends', so do you think it was Michale who died, and nobody went to his funeral because of how he left them all? But them again, why wouldn't Walt have come?
And for Jack to be so despondent in the future, to keep flying, hoping the plane will crash again, those people, from Naomi's boat, must really be evil, and put the islanders through a lot, I believed Ben when he warned Jack about her.
And what about when Kate told Jack she "has to get back to him" ? Is she with Sawyer in the future?
It must be Penny who eventually rescues them, she seems to be the only one looking.
I was really upset when Charlie died, I wish he could still come back somehow, I don't think he had to die, Desmond said he'd die as soon as he entered the code, that didn't happen. I don't get why, when he saw Mikael about to blow up the station, he didn't just run out of the room, and close the door from the other side to hold the water back, and him and Desmond could've swam out of there!? And did Mikael blow himself up too?
And I just loved when Hurley saved the day! I'm so glad the others ignored Ben and didn't kill Jin, Sayid and Bernard! It's going to be such a long wait until January!

The new season will be interesting with flashbacks now to the future.  We know that six of the Survivors make it back and there is a secret they are keeping.  We know that Jack, Kate, and Hurley are three of the six.  I'm wondering who the other three are.  :scratch

Hey Prissy. Great show tonight and lefted interesting questions. Thinking the other one that came back could be Sawyer cause remember in the finale we thought he called Kate to come back to him while she was with Jack? Maybe just guessing the others could be Jin and Sun or Rose and Bernad. Noticed in the future Huley was the one that wanted to go back and Jack didn't. I think those scenes happened before Jack grew a beard. It was nice to see Charlie as a ghost to help Hurley. Was sad when Claire found out he died.
Oh and I noticed Hurley saw Jacob in that house in the rocking chair when if you remember Ben could see him and Locke couldn't And I guess they people that they rescusing them are other's other's.

Does anybody think maybe Hurley is the one in the casket?  He seemed so distraught last night.  I felt so bad for him.  He may have ended up dying.  He wanted so bad to go back and Jack didn't.  Hurley dying could have changed his mind.  This is going to be a good 1/2 season!!

This season promises to keep us on our toes guessing what will happen.  I really like the future "flashforwards."  I don't know if Hurley dies further into the future or not.

As for Jacob, I don't think Ben could see or hear him, but when Locke could hear Jacob, that scared Ben that Locke was more "in tune" to the island than he was.  Now, Penny knows that there are survivors on the island and Desmond is alive.  I wonder if she will be a part of the show and attempting a rescue.

Evidently, the "new" people will not be any friendlier than the Others have been.

I agree Lost was AWESOME last night.

ABCLost fans finally got their Season 4 premiere on Thursday night, and within the very first moments (Spoiler alert) they learned about the Oceanic Six, a group to which at least Future Jack, Kate and (now we see) Hurley belong. As you wrack your brain over who the only other three "survivors" will be, keep in mind this previously excised portion of my Q&A with Naveen Andrews. "There's something quite intriguing [about the Oceanic Six] in that maybe there are only officially six," Sayid's portrayer shared. "Maybe there are more who they couldn't reveal to the outside world but are either still on the island or somewhere else, and why."

That, of course, would dovetail nicely with Future Jack's anxiousness to go baaaack to the island. Perhaps he's had a change of heart about some folks who didn't choose Team Shephard and thus ultimately will get left behind?

 TV Guide got the details on Lost's (Thursdays, 9 pm/ET, ABC) fresh faces.
KEN LEUNG "Miles":
Lost executive pro­ducers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse created the role of Miles specifically for New York City native Ken Leung after catching his live-wire performance as Uncle Junior's unstable protégé in The Sopranos last year. Before signing on to the super-secret ABC series, though, the actor — who also played the porcupine-esque Kid Omega in X-Men: The Last Stand — called up Cuse and attempted to pry some info out of him. "After our conversation," Leung admits, "I was still more or less blind." Allow us to fine-tune the picture: Miles, like The Sopranos' Carter, is a hothead, but he's a uniquely gifted one. "He's after something he can get on the island," Leung reveals. "Or somebody." The part has proven easy in one respect. "Miles doesn't know how to be social, which is great," Leung says, "because I don't know how to be social."

REBECCA MADER "Charlotte":
Lost's lone new girl, Rebecca Mader, wants to be treated like one of the boys. "People see me as a girlie-girl because I'm always in full-on hair, make­up and heels in everything I do," groans the actress, who made fashionable appearances in The Devil Wears Prada and Fox's short-lived 2006 series Justice. "I was sick of it. I have this tomboy side, and I really wanted to do action stuff." Wish granted: One of Mader's first Lost scenes found her hanging upside down from a tree. "I was so happy!" she ex­claims. Likewise, her character, Charlotte — who was changed from American to British after producers met the English-born actress — is thrilled about her arrival on the island. Maybe too thrilled. Could Charlotte prove to be nefarious? "Tune in, baby," Mader says with a laugh. "It's gonna be good!"

JEFF FAHEY "Lapidus":
Jeff Fahey hadn't seen one episode of Lost before landing on the Emmy-winning drama. But that's because the veteran actor (The Lawnmower Man and the '90s series The Marshal) had taken a hiatus from Hollywood to work with orphanages in Afghani­stan. While it's a pursuit the soft-spoken Fahey is passionate about, it's not one he's particularly eager to expound upon: "I don't want [it] to take focus from the show." He's chattier about play­ing bushy-bearded Lapidus, the pilot of the heli­copter responsible for bringing the freighter folks to the island. "It's a dream job," he says, "especially for someone who's been kicking around so long." And an experience, Fahey claims, that really isn't so different from his recent off-screen endeavors. "It's fascinating to go from Kabul to living in Waikiki," he admits. "But they're all just part of the journey."

JEREMY DAVIES "Faraday":
With the twitchy delivery of one line — "Rescuing your people, can't really say it's our primary objective" — Jeremy Davies manages to send chills down the spines of the survivors of Flight 815 and viewers. The film actor (Saving Private Ryan) has a way with words off screen as well. Take his self-deprecating explanation for joining the show: "The creators of Lost are endowed with some seriously certified, god-size talent. For a misfit like me, an offer to make coffee for those gentlemen is one I'd find terribly difficult to pass up." Fortunately, producers instead asked Davies to play the mysteriously troubled, intensely intelligent Faraday, who has a proclivity for both island experiments and mumbling. It's a character Davies, who studies quantum physics for fun, has embraced. "Faraday may be contending with a seis­mic metamorphosis under the surface. How's that for enigmatic?"

LOST just gets better and better.  I hope they keep repeating the previous episode before the new one, because I am noticing  things I missed the first showing.

Even though I like the characters on LOST, it's nice to have some new people, too.  It will be interesting to discover what their main mission is.

Thought it was a good episode but confusing. The new charachers are interesting. So they want Ben for something.  Miles is a ghosthunter so I bet he could talk to Jacob. That was freaky. When we saw Charotte saw the Polor Bear bones someone on another board said that could be the island in the future. Hmmmm When that other guy saw the plane crash on TV with the pilot in the water that didn't happen so it had to had been staged or it was another plane that crashed.

The plane under water is definitely staged.  They did that so nobody would go looking for survivors.  The dharma people didn't want anybody on the island nosing around.
Ben says he had somebody on the boat - that is how he knew all that stuff about the 4 "rescuers."  Do you think it was Michael??

I wonder if Sayid and Juliet were the other 2 that left the island with Jack and Kate.  I realized after I watched it for the second time, that they were both there with Kate and Jack when they went down to  the helicopter.
But don't forget that Desmond "saw" Claire and the baby getting on the helicopter in one of his visions.

Lost definitely does not need to be taken off the air.  I love it!!

You're right as to why it was staged Lori.

Be interesting if it was Michael who they are looking for. Been curious how he and Walt got off the island. Since Walt is talking to Locke it sounds like he wants them to stay.

We'll know another person that was rescued this week. I wanted to think Sawyer was one of them but now I think he's not.

Carlton Cuse: It's good to be back. It'll be even better tomorrow when the writers all start rolling in and we start getting to work... pending the vote, of course.

What came out of your meeting with ABC today?
Cuse: Damon [lindelof] and I are going to try to make five more episodes before the end of May, which is ambitious. But we've found ourselves in a situation where we had eight episodes of story planned, and we're going to try to fit that into five hours of the show. Even though it's going to be very hard to execute, we felt like any less would be doing a disservice to the story we had planned. We really want to give the fans the best possible experience and ending... to Season 4.

Any chance that the first of the five episodes will air the week after that last pre-strike episode — thus eliminating any scheduling gap?
Cuse: No, there's probably going to be four weeks between the airing of the first batch of episodes and our new episodes.

What will happen to the three "lost" episodes? Will they roll over into next season's 16, or will they vanish forever?
Cuse: Damon and I remain committed to producing the 40 additional hours of the show that we promised. We haven't figured out exactly when we'll put those other three on, but we're not eliminating them from the show. You will get those three episodes downstream.

I know it's early, but have you decided what will have to get cut from this season's arc in order to accelerate things? Are we going to lose some flashbacks and/or flash-forwards?
Cuse: All those conversations will take place tomorrow when we actually start talking about story.

Is it possible that some guest actors you were planning to use before the strike may no longer be available now? Like, for example, Andrea Roth?
Cuse: Yeah, there are a lot of issues that have to get sorted out. We're also in the middle of pilot season.... We're kind of figuring out what has happened to all of our actors who have gone on to do other things. Literally, there are cobwebs on the couches in the writers' room. Call me in a couple of days and I should have more answers for you.

OK, last question: Have you come up with a code word for this season's top-secret cliff-hanger?
Cuse: [Laughs] Not yet. That's a very good point. We'll have to get on that. If you have any ideas, Mike, let us know.

Very interesting show last evening!  I, too, am surprised that Sayid is an assassin for Ben.  I'm wondering if there are still survivors on the island and Ben is threatening to have them killed unless Sayid does his bidding.  It has to be something major for Sayid to submit to Ben.

I am really liking the "flashforwards."

Desmond, Sayid, the pilot and the body of the girl went on the helicopter back to the ship.  Why didn't Jack go?  He could have gone instead of the dead body?

Now we know four of the Oceanic 6:  Jack, Kate, Hurley, and Sayid.

That's a good guess Prissy about why Sayid is doing this for Ben.

Was wondering why Jack and Kate stayed too but we do know they go back anyway along with Hurley so how else would they leave. Oh and since Desmond lefted I don't think he counts as one of the 6.

I had to watch the show twice to figure out what was going on!!
Ben isn't one of the Oceanic 6 since he wasnt on the flight.  Apparently the Dharma people are after the survivors and Ben is trying to keep them safe.  I don't think Ben is the bad guy that everybody thinks he is.  He has  a list for Sayid to go after.  Sayid definitely cleaned up nicely, didn't he?
So what is with the bracelet that Naomi had on and the german girl (Elle, Else?) ended up having the same one?!!  Apparently the german girl's boss was into both girls! 
And Jacob's cabin moved!  All that was there was the ash around it.
How about the 31 minutes it took for that tube to come to that guy?  I'm starting to think the survivors have been on that island way longer than 100 days!!!!

Ben could be trying to protect them huh. I don't know about that but that would be an interesting turn of events.

I had no idea what was guy Daniel I think was his name was trying to do.

Oh yeah! That was weard Jacob's cabin vanished.

There is something wrong with the atmosphere on the island - remember the first week when Daniel said something about how wierd the light scatters here.  It may be some type of time warp.  That is why I think they have been there way longer than 100 days.

I love Lost, but it seems to get more confusing every week! After every episode, my mom and I look at each other and go: "I'm so confused." or: "What does that mean?!?"  :lmao Sometimes I wonder if we'll every get answers to every question, and if I'll understand them all!  :lol
I like hearing everyone's thoughts, I never thought of the plane in the ocean being staged, I just thought it was a part of the plane that broke off and went in the ocean, now I'm remembering, along with the guy saying it wasn't the pilot because he didn't have his wedding ring on, that the pilot was taken by the smoke monster wasn't he? :dunno
I can't believe Sayid is working for Ben, I wonder if he made some kind of deal to work for him to get off the island?  :bduh Very strange. I remember reading somewhere, that the one's who made it off the island, made deals to get there.  :para
And maybe it took so long for that tube to get to that guy because of that magnetic field around the island?

I think the LOST writers and producers like to keep us wondering.  But, usually, there is a wrap up episode that kind of explains what's happening, so hang in there.

I TiVo'd LOST last evening and watched it this morning.

Kate did have a trial after she returned to  ______ ? for her crimes.  Jack testified for her and said he lied.  I think he meant he lied when he said he didn't love her anymore.  Jack doesn't want to see Kate's son.  Is Sawyer the father of her baby?  Is this Kate's  baby or is it Claire's baby now older??

When Jack testified for Kate, he said that she helped the 6 or 8 survivors from the plane.  I will have to go back and catch that number.  This is another lie from Jack.  We know that there were many more that 6 or 8 survivors.  And Kate did not want Jack to testify to anything else.

Evidently, the Oceanic 6 are internationally known.  Kate's lawyer said the whole country knew about Kate and that she was a hero and no one wanted to convict her or see her serve jail time.  We know Kate killed her stepfather because he was physically abusive to her mother.  And all of the other crimes seemed to occur as a result of her trying to escape being caught for that killing.

The survivor that Locke has imprisoned wants Ben to give him 1.2 million dollars.  Is Ben really a good guy?  Remember he was part of that mass murder of the Dharma people on the island including his father.

I need to watch the show again to catch more clues.  Also, what has happened to the helicopter with Sayid and Desmond on it?  Evidently, it did not go back to the ship.   We know that Sayid is one of the Oceanic 6 and working for Ben in the future.


One Reviewer in our newspaper said this may be the best season of LOST yet, and, so far, I agree!  :thumb

Since Kate called the little boy Aaron and that was Claire's little boys name I think it is Claire's son and does he make #5 of the Oceanic 6 if you don't count Ben then we have one more to identify.

I agree, Jack meant that he lied about not loving her anymore.  But if "8" survived and "2" died that would make it plausible to the world that only "6" came home.  We might find out what happened to the rest of them some day. 

This show always manages to answer a few questions but then leaves you with a couple more.......  It has been the best season!!!!!!!!

Yep! It's Claire's baby Aaron. That was a shocker. I don't think he counts as one of the 6 cause she had him on the island and she pointed that out last night. So I wonder how Kate got him like if something happens to Claire and she tells her to take take of him. Maybe she dies. Oh and Jack didn't seem comfortable to see him yet. Wonder if he found out that Claire's his sister.

I agree also that Jack did lie about not loving Kate anymore but thank god it looks like they didn't end up together. I thought he was saying also that only 8 survived the crash but that's not true.

Oh and I'm thinking that Juliet could have lefted the Island as well as Ben but she's not part of the 6. Be interesting to find out what happens with Sayid and Desmond.

I'm not convinced that Ben is good.

I like new guy Miles but I'm not liking Locke right now.

Sawyer and Kate were hot. :bigsmile

Each seasons keeps on getting better and better. I'm on the edge of my seat.

Thanks for the information about the episodes.  We'll take as much LOST as we can get.

Last night's episode was all about Desmond.  And how he "time traveled" to the past and then to the present.  There really must be something about the atmosphere that is affecting time.  One of the new people said that not as much time had elapsed when the helicopter left as Jack and the Survivors thought had passed. 

Desmond in the past tells Penny he will call her in 8 years, and then he does.  So because Penny is Desmond's constant, he doesn't die like the other guy did.  There are some very creative minds writing LOST.  I used to think that they made it up as they went along but evidently the story arc is already set up. 

I am really enjoying the series this season.  Can't wait to see what happens next.  And I like seeing the week's previous show one more time.  :wink

Prissy-Thought the episode was confusing but good. It's weard it's only 2004 and Desmond traveled back in 1986. Yeah! Someone did say they were only on the island like 100 days. I guess something is affecting the time. I like Daniel. He made the story interesting. Do hope Desmond doesn't die. It was sweet when he called Penny.

:wow I'm more confused then ever after all that time traveling!  :lol
I was really worried Desmond was going to die, I'm so glad he's all right, but I just didn't understand the whole needing a "constant" thing. I think my mom was right when she called that whole episode a complete waste of time!  :roflmao I wonder why, if something about the island makes Desmond, and that guy who died, travel like that, why doesn't it affect the others that way? And they only seem to be traveling in their minds.  :bduh It must be something about all that magnetic energy on the island, because didn't Faraday turn up magnetic energy on that device of his, to make the rat time travel?

 This is only speculation on my part.  Remember when the underground hatch was discovered, and Desmond was typing in those numbers every 108 minutes?  Then Locke suggested that typing the numbers was useless and wouldn't let the numbers be typed and an explosion with a magnetic field was set off. 

Desmond turned a key that saved everyone.  At that point, he was exposed to magnetic rays and given the ability to look into the future.  Because he has these psychic abilities, maybe that is why he was affected by the time travel and others were not.

I really do think, at some point, all of this will be made clear to us.  Just "enjoy the ride" for now!!  :wink

Next week's TV Guide has Sayid and Juliet on the cover and more information on these two people and LOST.  I haven't read it yet.  But it did say that Kate has Aaron in the future.  After I read it I will post more. :thumb

Jorge Garcia (Hurley): "Is Ben in the coffin?"
Carlton Cuse: Come on, Jorge!
Damon Lindelof: Seriously! [To Cuse] He's just trying to make sure it's not him. It's process of elimination. The next question is, "Is it Michael?" [Laughs]
Cuse: Before the end of the year, you will know who's in the coffin.
Lindelof: And Jorge will definitely know before anyone else.

Yunjin Kim (Sun): "Is Aaron actually one of the Oceanic 6?"
Cuse: We're not officially saying yet. We want the audience to engage in an active debate about who the Oceanic 6 are.
Lindelof: Following [Sayid's] episode, we got several inquiries we weren't anticipating about, 'Is Ben a member of the Oceanic 6?' He could've assumed the identity of somebody on the plane [with] no surviving family members. Who the actual six are is very much in play through the end of the [March 13th] episode. We'll confirm or deny after that.

Josh Holloway (Sawyer): "Is it Jack's turn with Kate?"
Cuse: [Laughs] That doesn't sound very romantic, but I guess we get the underlying meaning. The Jack-Kate situation remains unresolved and probably will be for a while.
Lindelof: We will say we haven't seen the last of Sawyer and Kate this season. Not by a long shot.

Henry Ian Cusick (Desmond): "It's 2004 on the boat. What year is it in Penny's world? What year is it when the Oceanic 6 get home?"
Lindelof: What's fundamentally interesting about all the time-jumping is that we want it to make sense when people watch the show 10 years from now. We don't want it to seem dated. So it's not really about what year it is in the outside world, it's about how many years have elapsed between the time that we're watching on the island and the flash-forwards. That's one of the fun games the audience is playing: "Gee, Aaron looks like he's about 18 months old. What does that mean, and how old was he when they got off the island?"
Cuse: There are some growth issues when you go on or off the island. But I can't say more about that.
Lindelof: You've already said enough.

Evangeline Lilly (Kate): "Did Michael reach the mainland? Go home? Come back to rescue us?"
Cuse: The good news is that Evie will get all of her answers in [the March 20th] episode.
Lindelof: Well, most of them.
Cuse: Those questions form the basis for that episode. Evie should be somewhat happy.

Elizabeth Mitchell (Juliet): "Why did Juliet become such a badass? Who trained her — the Others?"
Cuse: I think there was probably some martial arts in New Otherton.
Lindelof: She probably went out shooting with Friendly back in the day, which is why she can handle a firearm so well. But the real inspiration for Juliet being a badass was Elizabeth herself. When she read for the part, she had this huge cast on her arm and was talking about her days of kickboxing....
Cuse: And then she beat Damon up.

Holloway: "Sawyer needs a freakin' haircut! Since I'm living with Hurley, can he cut my hair?"
Lindelof: [Laughs] That episode's a casualty of the strike.
Cuse: But yeah, Josh can have a haircut.
Lindelof: Josh might've forgotten, but this is a recurring request from him. He's like, 'My hair's getting long, can't Kate cut it?' So we did an episode [in Season 2] where Kate cuts his hair. I love how Josh chooses who's going to be his barber at any given time!

Cusick: "Did Jack's flash-forward in the third-season finale take place after the events of Sayid's most-recent episode?"
Cuse and Lindelof: Yes.

Naveen Andrews (Sayid): "Damon spoke once about going back into Sayid's childhood. It didn't sound like bulls--t at the time. Has he abandoned that?"
Lindelof: I love how he phrases it — "It didn't sound like bulls--t at the time" — [implying], "But it certainly seems like bulls--t now." [Laughs] It's certainly something we still want to do. It wouldn't necessarily be an entire flashback based in his childhood, but there may be significant things that happened when Sayid was a kid that we need to reveal.

Thanks for all that information.

When AI is aired, the previous week's show is repeated with added captions.  The captions help to explain that episode.  I keep forgetting to look down and read the captions. 

The captions in the Desmond episode pretty much confirmed my speculation as to why Desmond had become psychic;  the magnetic field at the time of the hatch explosion.

In the new episode, mostly about Juliet, we learn that Ben was "sweet" on her.  Through an apparition of Juliet's lover's wife, Juliet is told Ben wants her to kill the two new people, Faraday and the girl.  When Juliet gets to where they are, they explain that they are trying to avert a disaster, not cause one.
We also learn in this episode that Penny's father is the owner of the boat off the island.

Next episode: Ji Yeon

Juliet is forced to reveal some startling news to Jin when Sun threatens to move to Locke's camp. Meanwhile, Sayid and Desmond begin to get an idea of the freighter's crew when they meet the ship's captain.

Thought it was creepy that Ben wanted Juliet.

Was trying to remember Ana Lucia killed the guy who had an affair with Juliet and Ben knew that was going to happen so that's why he got rid of him.

I know Charlotte and Danial were trying to save them but there is just something I don't like about Charlotte.

I got that the guy was Penny's father.

I'm thinking we will see Micheal next week and that's who Ben told Locke was on the boat then as you can see as to why he let him go.

Also got a clue from the previews that Jin and Sun might be the last 2 of the *6*.

So what did you all think of last nights episode???
Oh my gosh - we had Sun's flash forward, Jin's flash back in the middle of Sun's flash forward.  Oy, I am dizzy!!

So Jin died the day the plane crashed?  I think not!!  Something weird is going on with all that.  I think Jin is still on the island and doesn't want anybody to know he is alive.

It was really good.  I need to watch it one more time though.

Was a great show. Interesting to see a flashback and a flashforward. Didn't realize that til the end. Was sad and was shocked to see Jin died. I was hoping though that maybe he could had faked his death to protect Sun. You never know with this show.That's true Lori he could be still on the island. I'm glad Sun had her baby and nothing happened to her or her daughter. Wonder who Sun got remarried too. Said she's only been married 2 months. Hmmm

Was a sweet scene when Jin forgave Sun for sleeping with that other guy. Glad she slapped Juliet for telling him.

I liked the scene with Jin and Bernard. Can understand why him and Rose stayed.

I knew Micheal was on that boat. Be curious to know what happened with him and Walt when they lefted to island.

I was wondering why they played the flashback music when it was (so I thought) a flash forward.  Like you all, I thought Jin was trying to get to Sun.

We know that Sun is one of the Oceanic 6.

So now we have:  Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid, and Sun

I think it was in Jin's flashback where he said he'd only been married for two months.  I was wondering why the Panda was so important when I thought Jin was on his way to the hospital for Sun.  In this flashback, he must still be working for Sun's father and was delivering the Panda to a business associate of his FIL.

Juliet felt like she had to say something to keep Sun from going to Locke's camp and so she revealed to Jin, Sun's affair and her wondering at first if it was Jin's baby or the other man. Jin showed what a good man he is by forgiving Sun and saying he was not the same man anymore. 

I would also think that Rose would want to stay on the island so she could be cancer free.

We know that Locke doesn't want to leave because he will be back in the wheelchair again.

We know that Sun has to leave the island soon or she will die;  so that kind of gives us a timetable.  I think she only has a few weeks before she will become ill and die.

The helicopter pilot seems a sympathetic character.  But who knows??

Question: Who the heck are the Oceanic Six? If Aaron's not one of them, and Jin's grave marker is for his "supposed" death when the plane crashed, who else made it off the island with Jack, Kate, Hurley, Sayid and Sun?— Jen
Ausiello: Who said Aaron is not one of the Oceanic Six? Certainly not me. Take another look at my asterisk quiz from Feb. 27 and consider all of the possible combinations. In the meantime, don't expect a definitive answer about the Six from Team Darlton. Carlton Cuse tells me they're "not going public with any further clarifications right now." And what of the ABC promo that promised viewers they'd know the identity of the Six by the end of last week's episode? "We don't determine how ABC promotes the show," says Cuse. "But Damon and I will say you have now seen all of the Oceanic Six in this season's episodes."

Maybe Aaron is considered one of the Oceanic Six.  He was on the airplane and in the crash, even though he had not been born yet.  If we've seen the six, it must be Aaron? :dunno

Interesting Debbie. When the promos said we will learn who the last of the 6 are last week I had thought it will be Jin along with Sun but it looks like that's not the case. I didn't think it would had been Aaron since Claire had him on the island. It wouldn't be a child. Wonder who will die tomorrow.

I watched CELEBRITY APPRENTICE and taped LOST.  I haven't watched LOST yet, but may go watch now.  I'll be back! :wink

I just finished watching LOST.  This episode was all about Michael.  Evidently, Michael and Walt did leave the island.  Michael told Walt about killing the two women and Walt cannot forgive him.  Walt is living with Michael's mother and doesn't want anything to do with Michael.

Michael's mother indicated they were gone for two months but said Michael won't tell her anything about those two months.  The guy that confronts Michael in the alley is one of the Others that kidnapped Walt in the first place.  I thought he was killed in the finale last year when Hurley came driving through in the van to rescue Sayid, Jin, and Rose's husband. :scratch

Michael tries to kill himself a few times, but the Other from the island says the island won't let him.

Michael is put on the freighter as Kevin Johnson supposedly to blow it up.  Ben calls him on the freighter and says he wants a list of everyone on the freighter.  There are innocent people on the freighter. Then a shocker when Sayid turns Michael/Kevin in to the ship's captain.

Ben tells his daughter to leave Locke's camp because it is dangerous to stay there.  Shooting starts and Alex's boyfriend and her mother, the French woman are killed. 

Promos for next week say the Oceanic 6 will be revealed and they show Jack, Kate, Sayid, Sun, Hurley, Aaron and another woman??  I watched 3 times but didn't recognize her???

Glad we got to see how Micheal came back and where Walt is. So Walt doesn't want to see him anymore since he killed Libby and Ana Lucia. Was freaky when he saw Libby. Interesting the island won't let him die. The other saw Micheal before he died last year. Crazy how Penny's father set up the plane crash to be staged.

Sad to see Alex's mother and Carl killed. Wish we could had seen more of Danielle. I hope Ben didn't set them up to get killed. He did say he wouldn't kill anyone.

Can't believe we have to wait a month til a new episode. Hope it will go by fast.

I believe I read that the next episode is April 24!!  A long time to wait! :shock

It's hard to keep a timeline in our head with all the bouncing back and forth.  You are right that the Other that confronted Michael would still have been alive when Michael got to leave and go back home.  Evidently, Michael never let anyone know he was a survivor from the plane.?  It seems like that wold have been big news.

Why does Penelope's father want everyone to think that everyone perished in the planecrash?  And how does he know that Desmond is on the island?  Desmond was not on the plane.  And was her father somehow involved in the Dharma Initiative?

It doesn't take a flash-forward to uncover Lost's secrets. Just a trip to Hawaii and a few pry­ing interviews. Here, a sextet (in honor of the Oceanic Six) of spoilery insights. — Shawna Malcom

1) Others leader Ben (Michael Emerson) has been called many things — Master Manip­ulator, Bug-Eyed Bastard, Captain Bunny Killer — but an action hero? In the April 24 episode, Ben leads the resis­tance against the freighter fiends working for cranky billionaire Charles Widmore, while in his flash­-forward adventure, he does battle in the Tunisian desert and spies on a funeral in Iraq. Emerson was as surprised as anyone by this unexpected turn of events, not to mention a little anxious. "Stunts, languages — all sorts of spe­cial skills were asked of me," he says. "I feel like I've done everything but the kitchen sink in this episode. God only knows what's next."

2) In one scene witnessed by TV Guide, Sawyer, Miles (Ken Leung) and a banged-up Claire, holding baby Aaron, make a ghastly discovery in the jungle: one dead body and an extra dismembered arm. Surprisingly, the con man turns all Big Brother on the single mum. "Since Charlie's died, I feel like no one's protecting Claire," Holloway explains. But can anyone really keep Claire from joining the island's body count? After all, Aaron's calling Kate "Mommy" in the future. De Ravin claims she hasn't received the dreaded phone call from producers. "Maybe just let the baby go first," she says. "Or maybe fall off the helicop­ter. But if that's the case, I'm not shooting that scene. Stunt double, please!"

3) Remember that water­color painting an insti­tutionalized Hurley was working on when Charlie appeared in the season pre­miere? Jorge Garcia painted it himself. He also decided what to paint — an Eskimo fishing outside an igloo. "I was like, 'Hope peo­ple think this means something,'" says the prankster. Mission accomplished: After the episode, fan sites buzzed with theories, including one he expected: "I hoped people might think it had something to do with the guys [in the Season 2 finale] speaking Portuguese in the snow."

4) TV Guide caught a scene shot for the May 1 episode in which Jack collapses, unconscious, on the beach. Expect Juliet to take charge and perform emergency surgery. "I get to go into Jack's guts!" says a glee­ful Mitchell, who adds, "After reading this episode, I realized that Juliet really does truly love him." Even so, Jack's flash-forward revolves around Kate. We're sworn to secrecy but will let slip that fans of "Jate" are in for a long-awaited, happy turn of events.

5) Coming attractions: The return of ageless Other Richard Alpert (Nestor Carbonell). A trek to Jacob's cabin. In the future, Hur­ley imparting a chilling message from Charlie to Jack. Christian Shephard reaching out to both (!) of his children.

6) The producers' ambitions for the season finale were so epic, they had to ask ABC for an additional hour. (Part 1 airs May 15; the second and third hours will air May 29.) "All we can say is, at the end of May 15, viewers will be left wondering how the hell are — in two hours — the Oceanic 6 all going to be together and off the island?" executive producer Damon Lindelof says. But get off they will. And as a result, expect Lost to be a whole new ballgame — again — when it returns for Season 5.

I am not sure what I even think about last nights episode so will just leave the second part of Kimmel interviewing the producers.   :bduh


This is part two of funnyman Jimmy Kimmel's interview with Lost producers Carlton Cuse and Damon Lindelof. TV Guide was able to sit in on the Q&A as the talk show host grilled the show's masterminds with his burning questions about how the season — and series — will end.

Jimmy Kimmel: Will Walt continue to grow until he's 9, 10, 11 feet tall?
Carlton Cuse: That's one of our favorite lines of the whole show: " Who told you that, Taller Ghost Walt?" You know, we went and had lunch at Arnie Morton's with Malcolm David Kelley, the actor who plays Walt.
Damon Lindelof: This was before the finale last year.
Cuse: And he was still the same size. We were like, "Thank God!" So we wrote him into the finale and then somehow, in that intervening six weeks, he hit puberty hardcore. He shows up [to shoot the episode] and it's like, "Wow, can he slam dunk?"

Kimmel: See, you should've gone for an Emmanuel Lewis or a Gary Coleman. [Laughs] In my opinion, the episode where Nikki and Paolo were buried alive was the most different of all the episodes. It almost seemed like a Twilight Zone with a little Romeo & Juliet thrown in or something.
Cuse: I think what you're responding to is that it was the one episode that sort of acknowledged that this is just a TV show. We were responding very directly to the fans' criticism of those characters. I think some people really appreciated it as a satiric exercise and some were kind of offended that we would —
Lindelof: Break the fourth wall.
Cuse: We take the show very seriously, but we do so with a spirit of fun. And I think we have to acknowledge that sometimes we make mistakes. Nikki and Paolo were a mistake. I mean, we're trying to push the envelope — some things work, others crash.

Kimmel: I doubt there's ever been a show more responsive to its audience.
Lindelof: It has to be. Because Lost is highly-serialized, we can jump the shark in such a way that people would stop watching forever. And some people have. If you were to poll them all, the common answer would be it got too complicated. People are constantly threatening to leave the show. It's not the most stable relationship. [Laughs] At a certain point, you go, "Come on! You're four years in. We're almost home. Just stick it out with us!"

Kimmel: By the final season [in 2010], it may get down to like 175 really hard-core viewers.
Lindelof: [Laughs] As long as you're one of them.

Kimmel: I will be. I've never wavered. Some episodes blow me away more than other ones, but I try to look at the big picture. I defend it when people say, "Oh, this episode's not as good." Maybe it's because I have to do a show every night and I know it can't knock your head off every single time.
Lindelof: Do you feel like there's a creative decision we could make that would make you stop watching?

Kimmel: I mean, if the Globetrotters sailed up on to the island or if Tony Danza became a castaway….
Lindelof and Cuse: Uh-oh. [Laugh]

Kimmel: Is everyone on the island from the planet Earth?
Cuse: [Long pause] Yes. That may be one of the best Lost questions we've ever been asked.
Lindelof: When you get asked questions like that, you have to be very careful how you answer.

Kimmel: Will we see the process of the Oceanic Six coming home and becoming international celebrities?
Cuse: We will probably not see them hanging out with Paris Hilton.
Lindelof: But you will see that period of excitement when they first come back before the end of the year. We really thought about, what would happen if there was a plane crash and everyone was believed dead and then six survivors turned up?

Kimmel: Someone would probably write a book. They'd do Good Morning America. And they'd get a big settlement from the airline.
Cuse: The settlement does actually come into play. That's a big plot point in the finale.
Lindelof: Would you book the Oceanic Six on Jimmy Kimmel Live!?

Kimmel: Absolutely. No question about it.
Cuse: The overriding goal of the characters in Season 5 is to get on Jimmy Kimmel Live!
Lindelof: That's what Jack is talking about in the flash-forward. He's not talking about the island.

Cuse: [Laughs] "We've gotta go back…on Kimmel!" And Kate's like, "No!"

TV Guide: Do you feel pressure to live up to last year's finale? How do you beat the flash forwards?
Cuse: I don't know if you beat it. But the audience has been waiting to find out what happens after that scene between Jack and Kate [at the end of Season 3], and we're gonna deliver on that in the finale. We're doing some pretty cool s--t. It's just gonna be on a different bandwidth than last year. It's not about the M. Night Shyamalan trick.
Lindelof: Jimmy, that's actually a question I wanted to ask you. Do you find now that you've done the Ben [Affleck] and Matt [Damon] videos, everyone's saying, "How are you gonna top yourself?"
Kimmel: Yeah, but because that's a departure from my usual show, I have the luxury of not doing anything. So we're just gonna leave it alone. Certainly, if there were some spectacular idea, we'd do it. But there isn't anything better than what we did the last time.
Lindelof: That's the way we feel about last year's finale — that it's a special moment in time. That moment when Kate gets out of the car is a once-in-a-lifetime show experience.


TV Guide: The Internet has played a role in the buzz surrounding both of your shows.
Cuse: I don't think Lost could've existed in the pre-Internet era. Now you have the ability to both catch up with the show and also discuss and explain it. The camaraderie of the fans that come together over the Internet to discuss Lost is a huge factor in its success.
Lindelof: Lost has always been a cult show in its DNA. It started out as being the band that everybody was listening to and is sort of migrating down to the people who are just fans of punk rock.

Kimmel: When the series wraps, is there any chance of a Lost movie?
Cuse: Our goal is to finish the show and have it feel satisfying. We have no plans at this point to do a movie.
Lindelof: We don't wanna do "and then" storytelling. Like, "Yes, that's the entire thing. And then the one thing we didn't tell you was this."
Cuse: When the show ends, it's over.
Lindelof: But I think it goes without being said that [until then], the show is gonna get weird. Weirder.
Cuse: [Laughs] I'm glad you added that amplification. Recently, we were doing [an interview for] a clip show and after about two hours of explaining plot, I was like, "This show is insane! We are certifiably insane people."

Kimmel: Then I'm insane, too, because I'm all in.

It was a pretty crazy episode about Ben and we finally got to see this Charlie guy. Poor Alex getting killed and hearing Ben meant nothing to her. Ouch! I understand he wants revenge but wish he could kill him instead of Penny. So we also got to see how Sayid took the job of killing for him. Poor Sayid having to bury his wife. Does Ben control the smoke monster now? That was weard. I love the scene when Sawyer didn't want Hurley to stay with Locke and Ben. He cares about Hugo. Awwww

That was a great summation of the show.  It was different and had more flash forwards and no back tracks.  I think Ben always cared about Alex, but that was cruel to say she meant nothing to him, wasn't his real daughter and then she was shot. 
I thought the woman Sayid loved had been killed in an earlier episode?  But evidently he found her and married her, then she was killed by a man Ben identified as the killer, then Sayid killed that man.  And that's how he became Ben's hired assassin?

It's still amazing how all of these characters are connected in some way, in the past and in the future.  At least, we will be getting more answers as the weeks go on.

Was nice to see that Ben does have a heart after all and wanted to say goodbye to Alex. I think we saw Sayid's wife was killed in his 1st backstory. I thought he killed her at 1st. :bduh It is interesting how him and Ben have a connection and I like seeing that with others too like I hope Jack finds out this season that Claire's his sister. I sure hope we get more answers and it's a lot more questions in each episode.

Another interesting LOST episode!!

Flash forward shows Jack and Kate living together and raising Aaron.  Jack goes to see Hurley and Hurley tells him about Charlie visiting him.  He tells Jack that Charlie said Jack will have a visitor, too.  Hurley tells Jack he is not supposed to be raising Aaron.

Jack starts taking pills and liquor together.  He sees his father's ghost in the hospital.  And Kate confesses that she has been doing something for Sawyer, who chose to stay on the island.


On the island, Sawyer, Claire and Aaron, and Miles have left Locke's camp and are trying to get to get beach.  They are almost discovered by the "killer" group from the ship.  The helicopter pilot saves them.  As they camp out, Claire awakens and notices that Aaron is gone.  She sees her dad (also Jack's dad), holding Aaron. 

The next morning, Sawyer awakens and Miles tells him Claire walked out into the jungle during the night.  Sawyer hears Aaron crying and finds the baby, but not Claire.  I wonder if this is the end of Claire.

Back at the beach, Juliet takes out Jack's appendix.  She tells Kate that Jack kissed her, but he loves Kate.

Each week the stories are really good and are leading to some conclusion eventually.

Great recap Prissy. I think Jack's flashforward was leading up to what happened in the season finale last year.Some people are saying Hurley could had killed himself and he's the one in that coffin that Jack only went to the funeral too. Be :sad if it was him. Was an interesting scene about what Charlie told him that him and Kate shouldn't take care of Aaron and said Charlie will talk to him next. He was acting all crazy. So I'm thinking Claire could end missing on the Island and maybe Sawyer is the one to ask Kate if she coulld take of him. It was creepy that she saw her father after Jack saw him in the future. Wonder if Jack knew Claire was his sister. Wasn't clear on that.

I missed what Kate lied to Jack about who she was talking on the phone. I know she said it had to do with Sawyer but I didn't think people could call outside the island? :bduh I'm not a Jack and Kate fan so thank god they didn't last long. I knew he would still have trust issues like with his ex wife if he married her. Like Kate better with Sawyer and him better with Juliet. I feel bad for Juliet knowing that he loved Kate when she has feelings for him.

Since this is sweeps it's good to finally get some answers and put things together.

Lost never stops being interesting, even though I'm still always confused after watching it. I still can't believe Alex, her mother and Karl were killed. I always thought Ben must've stolen her, and Alex wasn't his real daughter, but it was really something to see how much he cared about her, he was acting tough like he didn't care what happened to her, but by acting that way, saying she meant nothing to him, I think only proved how much he did care because he was trying to get that guy to let her go, and I that's why he killed her, but to hear that before she died,... how sad for Alex. Alex's mother once said the smoke monster was like a security system for the island, so since Ben has all those forcefield/fence type things set up around the island, maybe he was able to call to it as another part of his security. If he wanted revenge, why didn't he just take out Widmore when he had the chance? Instead he said he couldn't :bduh and would go after Penelope?
Isn't it something how the last flashforward we saw, Jack didn't even want to see Arron after Kate's trial, and now they were living together raising him? The way he told Kate she's not even related to Arron, makes me think he does know Claire is his sister in the future, like: "You're not related to him, I am!" And I thought Hurley told him Chairlie said "someone" would see Jack soon, so maybe he meant Jack's father? I wonder why he keeps appearing to Jack and now Claire? And since I'm guessing everyone but the six who made it off the island, must've died, I doubt Kate was talking to Sawyer on the phone, maybe it was his daughter? Maybe Sawyer wanted Kate to tell her something for him and that was the "favor" she was doing for him? It's nice to see the big heart Sawyer has had hiding under his tough exterior all this time, the way he suddenly cares about Hurley, and protecting Claire and Arron, always knew he was a sweet heart. :bigsmile How ridiculous was it that Jack thought he could watch his own surgery with no anaesthetic? :bduh I felt bad for Juliet too, you can tell she loves Jack but knows his heart is with Kate. I always had a feeling Juliet wasn't evil like Ben and The Others, she's really turned out to be a good, misunderstood person.

Did you notice how Jack stayed parked at the institution where Hurley is watching the bench outside like he was waiting to see Charlie or ??

I am hoping the rest of the survivors of the air plane crash are still on the island and alive.  But who knows?  They could very well be dead and only the Oceanic Six escaped.  Hopefully, we will all know soon. :cross

I just watched the latest episode of LOST again.  Lots going on in this episode.

John's flashback:  John is born a preemie to a teen age mother, Emily Locke,  whose family doesn't want him. I assume he is adopted or put in foster care.  At about age 5, one of the island guys from the past, Richard, comes to visit John and gives him a test to get to be part of a special school.  John fails a part of the test and Richard leaves. (When John was born, Richard could be seen peeking at him through a window.)
As a teen ager, John is good in science but picked on by classmates and wishes he was a jock. A teacher tells him a Dr. Albert has invited him to a science camp by Middlelos Laboratories, which I think, had to do with the Dharma Initiative.
We then see Locke in rehab after his accident, where a mysterious orderly tells him a miracle can happen.  The orderly is the same man who visited Hurley at one point in a mental institution. The orderly says John should go on a self-discovery Walk About.

In the present, John, Ben, and Hurley are looking for the cabin and Jacob.  John dreams about someone named Horace who can help him find the cabin.  Horace is dead and in the burial pit.  John finds Horace's body and a map to the cabin in his pocket.  When the three find the cabin, only John goes in where he sees Jack's Father's "ghost" and also Claire is there.  I'm wondering if Claire is also dead.  They say baby Aaron is not supposed to be there with them.
John asks how to save the island and Christian, Jack's father, says to move the island.

Meantine on the boat, the really big mean dude wants to go back to the island and kill everyone on it.  Sayid takes a small boat and heads back to the island, but Desmond doesn't want to see the island again.  The mean dude kills the doctor and also the Captain of the ship.  He forces the helicopter pilot to fly him, his crew and lots of weapons back to the island.

The helicopter pilot drops a directional device down to the survivors so they will know where the helicopter is so they can protect themselves.

Comments:  Christian, Jack's dad, said he could speak for Jacob.  How can they move the island to save it?  Maybe that's what happens and the island and the survivors "disappear" while the Oceanic Six are saved.  Remember, Jack in one of the flashforwards tells Kate they should never have left the island.
From the flashbacks for John, I get the feeling that his destiny was to come to the island. I wonder how they will explain dead people appearing to different ones??

More???? again!!

Great recap Prissy. It was a very strange ending. How the heck can they move the island and why would Christian tell Locke this anyway? :bduh That's actually a good prediction. I'm afriad Claire might be dead too if she can't have Aaron. I think Locke was a foster child. Interesting to see Richard in his flashback. He was also in one of Juliet's back stories. I wasn't surprised when he picked up that knife. I found the dead guy interesting too. I had forgoting the orderly knew Hurley. You're right that Locke was made to stay on the island and I think him and Ben are alike in some ways. Thought Ben and Hurley were funny together. Looking forward to this weeks show.

Move the island?!? :bduh And isn't Christian dead? Claire has always been all about protecting Aaron, and now that she just left him and calmly told John, "I'm with him", (Christian) it makes me think she's dead too. It almost seemed like Richard was Johns father, because he was watching him as a baby, and the nurse even asked if he was the father, because the guy who took Johns kidney and pushed him out the window wasn't his real father right? So, maybe. :dunno Everytime I think this show is starting to make sence, it gets even more strange, normally I would've stopped watching a show like this a long time ago, but I need answers, (that I'm afraid we'll never get,) so I guess the writers are doing something right. :lol
And a thought from a few weeks back: in Ben's flashback episode, why was he passed out in the desert wearing a winter coat? :bduh

Kate was on Jay Leno last night.  I saw a little of it.  She talked about how "thrifty" she is; doesn't like to spend money!  :lol

That's right she was on Leno. That's funny that she's cheap. :lol When the Lost actors are on Kimmel he always want to get something out of them about the show. It's funny.

LOST is getting more interesting.

Tonight in the Flash Forward we saw the Oceanic Six:  Jack, Kate, Aaron, Hurley, Sun, and Sayid on a military plane headed home.  Evidently they decided their story is that they were part of 8 that survived the plane crash.  No one else made it off the plane onto the island.  So, who are the other two that got off the plane with them but supposedly didn't "survive?"

In the press conference, Sun says that Jin died on the plane. 

Someone asks how old Aaron is and surmises that Kate was six months pregnant when she boarded the plane.

Jack finally has the memorial service for his father.  Afterwards, Claire's mom comes up and tells Jack that Claire was his sister.

Hurley doesn't want his money, but is met by family and they give him a party.  Hurley's dad has restored his car, but when Hurley gets in it, he sees those same cursed numbers and runs from the car.

Sayid is met by his wife?  Can't recall her name.  Nadia?

Sun is met by her parents and later tells her father that she got a big settlement from Oceanic and now owns the major part of his company.  She said he always hated Jin and she wants him to show her some respect.

Kate is saying that Aaron is her baby.  There is no family to meet her when the military plane lands.


On the island, the mean dude and his guys, and also Ben, John, and Hurley are all headed for the Orchard.  When they get there,  Ben tells John to go to a certain place underground.  Ben walks up with hands up and tells the mean dude who he is.  The mean dude immediately puts a gun to Ben's head.

Jack and Sawyer find the helicopter, free the pilot who tells them that the survivors are not safe from the mean dude.

Sayid lands with the small boat on the island.  Miles takes a group to the freighter including Sun and Jin and Aaron.  And then heads back for more survivors.  Sayid goes with Kate to find Jack and Sawyer, but Richard and some of the Others intercept them.

How old must Richard be now?  He was there when John Locke was born.  Maybe no one ages on the island.  What happens to the survivors and Desmond on the freighter?  How is the island moved?  We know Ben is not killed but what happens?

Big question?  Where are all of the survivors and why were the Oceanic Six selected to be rescued?

Great recap Prissy and good questions. Also would like to know who Ben called in with that mirror. I'm rooting for him to kill those guys. We haven't seen the others in a while. That's true Richard doesn't age. Interesting to see we had like a flashforward going backwards when the 6 lefted the island. I'm sad that Jin is going to die. :cry Sun lied that he died in the plane crash. I guess also that their is a reason they won't tell anyone who stayed on the island. It's great that Jack found out that he's Claire brother. I have a feeling she died too. Locke didn't tell Ben and Hurley that he saw her. Hate that is Kate is Aaron's mother now. Yes! That's Nadia who is Sayid's wife. Was sweet to see them together before she got killed by Charles. I can see what drives Hurley crazy and back to the hospital and he'll be wishing he was back on the island. Poor guy. Crazy to see the numbers. I'm wondering how Desmond and Ben leave too. ACK We have to wait 2 weeks to the finale. I'll be in the Virgin Islands so I have to record it.

Tonight was the LOST finale!  Very interesting!  And the door is open for a new season.  It was interesting to see how the Oceanic Six came to be.  Good to know that Sawyer and Desmond survived.

Why did Sawyer have to be the one to jump off the helicopter? No one else volunteered? I wonder if what he told Kate, is what she's trying to do for him in the flashforwards? What a romantic kiss though! :heart Thank goodness he survived, but at the end Jack said Locke told him "bad things" happened on the island after they left, does that mean people died?
Did you see how the camera focused on Hurley when they needed to get rid of extra weight? :para
How did Locke get off the island? Why was he using that fake name Jeremy Bentham? I didn't think that was him in the coffin! And did Sayid kill him? He told Hurley "they said it was suicide." And where was he taking Hurley, to "somewhere safe"?
I wonder why Hurley can see dead people, like when he was playing chess with Mr. Eko.
And I think when Hurley told Walt they're lying to protect everyone, including Walt's dad, he didn't know Michale blew up with the boat.
Poor Michale, didn't want him to die like that, and is Jin really dead? Maybe he was in the water, and Sun made a grave for him anyway thinking he was dead.
Why would Charlotte and Miles want to stay on the island?
Is Jack's father Jacob? Jack's father was the one who seemingly told Locke to move the island, and Ben said Jacob told Locke that, but wanted him to suffer the consequences.
And why would Jack's father appear to Michale before the boat blew up?
Desmond finally finding Penny was romantic. :heart
Is the island really a place where "miracles happen" when so many people died there?
Ben moving the island was the weirdest thing of all, you can time travel through the "vault", (?) but put metal things in there and a hole's blown through the wall, (?) then Ben goes down into a cold, snowy tunnel, (??) and moves the island with a crank????
How do you move an island with a crank, seriously! :lol Who put it there? If it's an island, out in the ocean, and you're going down deep elevators, and tunnels, shouldn't Ben have just hit water? :lol
And how'd he end up in the desert wearing his winter coat after moving the island?
Now Ben wants to go back, how can he do that? He said he couldn't go back, and why does he need everyone else to go back with him?
Claire's ghost, or whatever she was appearing in Kate's dream, must know Ben's plan to take everyone back, because she asked Kate to not take Arron back there.
Who exactly wanted/wants to kill the survivors, where they have to lie about everything that happened to protect them?
If it's Widmore, why, they just crashed there, they didn't do anything to him, and wouldn't whoever wants them dead still want to kill the Oceanic 6 when they're rescued?
Did you see how cold Ben was when he killed Keamy, and Locke said he just killed a boat full of people and he said "so?" :para
And why did Sun go up to Charles Widmore, and say they have common interests? Didn't get that at all.
So plenty more questions for next season! :lol

Thanks for bumping this thread back up to the first page.  I am looking forward to LOST returning.  And from the previews it looks like the Oceanic Six want to return to the island.

I hope they will replay the Finale again a week before the new season starts.  I need to be reminded of what happened.

ETA: I read some spoilers and it sounds confusing as ever. :bduh :lol It appears they won't have flashbacks or flashforwards this season. I'm sure whatever we see they will keep it fresh and interesting.

Hello LOST fans!

It looks like this Wednesday will be a three hour repeat with captions of the Finale.  Then, the next week new episodes of LOST will resume.

There is an article in the TV Guide that I received yesterday about LOST.  I am getting the feeling that the missing island is actually in a time warp;  so it is still there but can't be seen.  Maybe the Oceanic 6 will travel back or forward in time to return to the island.

Thanks for the heads up Prissy. I had a guess they would rerun the finale before the new episode next Wednesday so good to know they will air it tomorrow night. Watching AI on Wednesday's too so hope Lost doesn't overlap with it. Wish it was on Thursday's again cause I don't watch anything that day and wish I had a DVR.

Next time I'm at the store I'll check out TV Guide. That's a good guess about if they are in a Time Warp. Gotta remember what Ben did again to move the island.  :lol Ofcourse no doubt. Probably at the end of the season I bet we can get more answers. Can't wait til next week. :bouncy

I hope this will be a good season for LOST.  I believe that 3 years have now passed since the Oceanic 6 were rescued.  And on the previews it looks like Desmond and Penny have a new baby.

I hope so too and they always know how to keep it fresh snd interesting. They are going to feel that the island moved. I love Penny and Desmond. That's sweet. There an article with the actor in the new TV Guide I think.

What a crazy episode but I loved it anyway. :lol

I am liking the time traveling stuff, flashes of them on the island at different times. What in the world did Ben do? Was cool to see the hatch before and after they blew it up. I bet they would show when the plane crash happened. I really like Daniel. And wondering at the end those guys shooting at Sawyer and Juliet were from Dharma. When Locke saw that plane remembered that's how Boone died. *sniff* Was cool to see past charachers like Ethan and Micheal seeing Locke and when Anna Lucia saw Hurley and told him, Libby said hi. Hope we get to see more like Charlie and Eko. Still want to know what happened with Claire. It's not surpising other then that the 6 have to go back that they could make Locke the hero with dieing to save everyone to stop the time travel and the bad things from happening. Wonder if he would be willing to die to save them. That woman at the end at the church with Ben, there is a guess that she could be Daniel's mother. That would make sense with what we saw her doing. We also saw her with Desmond once when he was picking out a ring to Penny and she warned him that it wasn't a good idea. I loved Hurley. Him and Sayid make a great team. Thank goodness he didn't die. It was funny when he was explaining to his mom what happened on the island and it was sweet that she did believe him. Also liked how he said no to go with Ben and didn't trust him even though it's the best thing to do to go back with him. And liked that he thought it wasn't a good idea to lie to everyone. I like this new side of Sun. Wants revenge of what happened with Jin and wants to kill Ben. And I still hate Kate for being Arron's mother. Wonder if she could be playing Kate and called those guys to ask her for a blood test to see if she was his mother. Anything is possible on this show. Looking forward to next week.

You picked up a lot of good points.  It does seem like the survivors still on the island are going back in time as we see people like Ethan and the others, some who have passed away.

If Locke died on the island, how did he get back "home?"  Did I miss something?  All of a sudden, there is Locke in a casket.  Maybe this will be answered in a future show.

I hate to see Desmond have to go back, but I guess they all don't have a choice.  What about the helicopter pilot?  Does he need to go back, too? 

I think it will be interesting to see how they return to the island.  And Daniel seems to have been time traveling for a while.  His mother did look familiar.

Then Ben goes in to the meat market to talk to that lady about keeping Locke in his casket for him, I don't remember her.  She must be new?

I'm loving Lost!!  Hello Tiffany and Prissy!!

Locke was said to have committed suicide when he came back off the island.  He was alive because he went to each of them (Hurley, Sayid, and I believe Kate too) to talk to them and tell them they needed to go back to the island.  Somewhere along the way, he killed  himself. I think he did that because Richard told him to get everybody back, he had to die.  Remember that part?

The lady at the meat market is one of the many people that just helps Ben out - she was never been on before.  They are supposedly all over the place and know what is going on and they have a certain job to do.

Very interesting stuff going on and lots of answers given on how things happend.  But more questions too!!    Can't wait to see tonights episode!

Wow! Charles was an other and was on the island back in the 50's. Didn't see that coming. Interesting about Locke saying 2 years after was when Micheal saw him after he was born if you remember his flashback from last season. And the woman Desmond saw in the hospital I think was the woman on the island that knew Daniel. Sweet him and Penny named they baby Charlie. Looking forward to next week.

Great show last night. Was so happy to see Jin is really alive. Very interesting the time is flashing on him too and a young Danielle pregnant with Alex found him.  Hope Sun can find out Jin's not dead.

Loved it that ofcourse Ben was behind getting that lawyer to take Arron away from Kate. She isn't his mother. Didn't think Claire's mother was behind it if she didn't know who he was. Jack is a fool for trusting Ben though.

Liked it when Sawyer saw Kate and Claire. Awww He loves her. Interesting Juliet and Miles had a nose bleed after Charlotte. Wonder why if it's cause they been on the island longer then the others.

Hello Tiffany and Lori!

I am glad that they are replaying the previous show with explanations along with the new episode.  It is getting interesting and looks like Ben is having everyone gather in Los Angelas. 

That was something to see a young Charles on the island.  I think we will be seeing more of his story.  And Richard just stays young. 

I am definitely "hooked" on LOST this season.

This episode rocked. Getting so good. Didn't want it to end.

Poor Charlotte. That was sad but not surprising and to hear she was from the island and how the place is death. It would be interesting if we could get a flashback of her as a little girl growing up on the island and see when Daniel saw her so that way he could see when that happened.

Would Ben want everyone to go back to the island so they can die and not tell them? Hmmmm I liked that he told Sun that Jin was alive. How in the would did he have Jin's ring?

I see when Desmond showed up that Ben was suprised to hear Mrs. Hawking is Daniel's mother. Glad to know that we were right about that.

Do you think Jack's father could be Jacob? Crazy So Locke was suppose to move the island and not Ben and he has to die to save everyone. I wonder if he makes it out before he dies and see's Mrs. Hawking. And I had forgoting that he doesn't know Jack is his son. That thing he has to turn is the wheel of time.

I loved when Jin saw Sawyer and they hugged each other. Awwwww Eekkk Sawyer got a nose bleed this time.

Jin and Danelle were interesting. Gross when the smoke monster got her boyfriends arm and I remember her talking before how all her friends died.

Can't wait to see what happens next week. Looks like Kate will decide to go back.

Are you still watching LOST?  I am, but I've found it confusing with all the time travel back and forth.  Some are in the present; some are in the 1970's.  Next week is the Finale for the season so we'll see if any of these time travelin' loose ends are tied up. :dunno

LOST has begun a new and its last season.  Are any of you still watching.?  It looks like a parallel universe thing going on.  We have the survivors of the plane crash still on the island, yet on their plane, too, and landing in LA!  :doh  And Locke is no longer Locke, but a reincarnation of the Smoke Monster!!  Juliet is dead and died in Sawyer's arms!  But no one stays dead for long on this show, so.......??

Yep! Still watching the best show on TV. It's crazy and confusing but I love it anyway.  :lol The only thing I don't like is these new others at the temple. More questions. :doh Very happy to to see Claire back but I dldn't understand what happened to her could happen to Sayid? Wish we could see a flashback of that. Also was thinking Jacob could be in Sayid but was odd he was hurt by what that guy did with him. Thought it was a great twist about Not Locke turning into the Smoke Monster. Sad Juliet is really dead but guess the actress is staying on V now. I bet she got pregnant with Sawyer's baby but didn't want to tell him. Also it's interesting to see what everyone would have done if they didn't end up on the island. Was nice to see Boone and Charlie back. Don't like this bonding with Kate and Claire though. And wonder if Jack could make Locke walk again. I think it will be a great last season.

We know that Locke was killed by Ben, and now the Smoke Monster has invaded his body.  I think I read in TV GUIDE that it may be the Smoke Monster that invades dead bodies like Jack's father, who was a corpse.  I think the new others think that Sayid died and has been invaded by a dark side, which may also be the Smoke Monster??   Claire may also have died and been invaded by the Smoke Monster or ??   

It is odd watching parallel shows going on;  the survivors on the island, and then the survivors as if they had not crashed and their plane had landed.  I'm still not sure where the writers are going, but iI sure hope we get a good ending out of all this confusion!!
