Sorry I went off for a bit.  But I got another call & Irene really needs our prayers.  Her mom lost electricity in part of her home (mainly the kitchen & some surounding areas) and Irene fears there's an electrical problem that involves the wiring.  She's very worried about the potential for a fire & her D/H can't do anything until tom. morning.... due to the long distance they live apart.   

As everyone knows, we also have the concert in Newark tom. night & now Irene's not sure she'll be able to make it.  Especially if her mom can't stay in the house.  Please say a prayer guys.  You're all the very BEST & I know it will help!  :hugg  :hugg  :hugg

I want to thank everyone for their prayers for my mom and I'm happy to report that "all is well" and I can go to Newark to get CLAYED  :purpbana :purpbana :purpbana

The emergency electrician came right away this morning and her electric is back on.  She needed wiring work and a new meter ($800.00).  He gave her a new circuit box and will do the rest of the work during the week.  Now her electric is back, her stove works and she has airconditioning.  Hooray!!!!   :cheer :cheer :cheer

Now I'm off to get my torn nailbed looked at so that it doesn't get infected.  My finger still throbs and I can't do much with my left hand.   I had a horrible time washing my hair this morning but the finger feels a little better right now.

Hi Everybody 

I just wanted to check in.

The wedding yesterday was just beautiful.  We were invited because Dave knows the groom.  Dave is now his boss  .  The reception would have been more fun had I had been able to dance.  However, my shoulders got quite a workout dancing to the music just sitting in that chair. 

I picked up the kids from my Mom's today.  They had a blast.  I remember being a kid and spending the night at my Grandma and Grandpa's and used to just love it.

My Mom has been extremely busy cleaning out my Grandma's apartment.  Things are not going well and she will not be able to live on her own any more. 

Dave, my dad, and my brother spent most of the day taking furniture out of my Grandma's apartment.  I took my Grandma's Dining Room Table and Buffet.  I have always loved it and have always wanted it, but am sad that I now have it  Her Dining Room Table is one that the ends fold down.  She used to have it pushed up against the wall and it looked like a table for 2.  It has a total of 5 leaves and can seat 12 people  .  I can now also take my 12-piece set of China out of the upstairs hall closet and put it in the Buffet  .

My Grandma is not doing well.  Her doctor gives her 3-6 months  . 

Will you please say a prayer for my mom.  THANKS.

I need more info.  Can I read her review?  She probably shouldn't have mentioned that she asked for and recieved it cuz she's a mod.

Where does she moderate?  Is it a demanding site?

My initial off-the-cuff reaction is--Mods can have one free M&G but that's all.  Especially now that there are only 6 per concert.
In fact, my feeling in general is--only one M&G per person until every fan has had one.   :pig


Generally however, in life I have found that the squeeky wheel gets the grease.  You don't have to be, and shouldn't be pushy, but many times all you have to do is be up front and ask, and you may get what you are looking for.  What have you got to lose? as long as you are polite about it, and prepared to accept no for an answer.

And since I won a meet & greet I'm prohibit from entering for 1 year.. Which I think is fair...

I agree with Fran. Only one M & G per person (except Stub Hub) until we all get one regardless of if they are a mod.

Mods at the OFC work pretty hard and probably need a M&G as part of their on-the-job training.  :lol

If she were embarassed about asking then she wouldn't have made it common knowledge I'm sure.



Sorry Philly, but one year is not enough.  Some years he only does one tour, so that's not really any restriction at all.  And when some people have sung with him, had several M&Gs and multiple bus line encounters--it's just a little hard to take when there are so many of us left unsatisfied!  There just isn't enough of Clay to go around!  Would you take more than one sample at the grocery store?  :lol  

I agree. With as many fans as there are ... we all deserve a fair chance.

I don't know enough about it but was she one of the 6? If moderators want to go, then add that person and don't take a 6th slot away. That would be my opinion.

Had a long call with my friend Joyce from Florida.  Thankfully, mom is ok medically.... but I have some serious problems with the nursing facility again.  For the third frelling time (and gad knows how this keeps happening) they seem to have lost her glasses & without them she is legally blind.   My frustration level is really bad right now & I feel exhausted. 

Sorry guys.  But I'm heading off to bed.  Tomorrow's another day & I'll make my calls from work to try and sort this mess out.

I found out late yesterday afternoon that I will be moving offices in the next week or so. I knew it was coming but wasn't sure exactly when. The person in my new office is moving out by the end of the week so I'll have to begin packing. I'm just moving across the hall but I have to move EVERYTHING. And I've been in this office for 5 years (the whole time I've worked here) so there is a lot of sentiment attached. Clay in jeans is like a great work of art. The picture carries your eyes around to view all the beauty, and then end in a center point rather than letting your eyes move away.

When the object of art is Clay, your eyes are drawn to the huge feet protruding from the puddled hem of denim.  Like two rays coming from a spotlight, his long legs draw your eyes ever upward drinking in the form moving sensuously beneath the clinging blue jeans that have captured him.  Your eyes reach the gyrating hips that are trying desperately to escape from their captor.  Then your eyes are drawn to the tucked in shirt that direct you up to the broad shoulders and onward to the miraculously beautiful face of Clay. The long slender neck takes you down to the opposite shoulder and ever downward to the sensuous long fingers. Again you are taken away by the folds in the shirt and you travel to the chest and ever downward to the belt that appears to be straining to get free. There it is, the center point! Your eyes are suddenly RIVETED to a rivet! A bright shiny rivet pointing out the centermost object captured by those sensuous gyrating beautiful lucky jeans! And I'm a pile of goo!  :thud

Okay, first in my dream, I wasn't me, I was a girl named Toni who looked like me about when I was around 19. Somehow I was on reality tv show callled.. Get this..."Pick Clay's bride"   Which, I didn't mind doing... :bigsmile

So, somehow I was picked in the top 10 canidates because I was the internet "Geek Squad's" choice! :bduh

We have to do a singing contest and Dick Buckus was doing play by play analysis of each contestant singing. Paula Abdul was our judge... :para

It was my turn to sing, I choose Babs Streisand's "Evergreen" which I sang on my tippy toes! :para

Then Dick Buckus made his commentary "That girl has a snowball chance in hell to win, but she excludes such confidence and warmth, you can't help but like her!" :para :bduh :lol

Then after the singing, we were in a room, lined up and Clay comes in with two new puppies named Charlotte and Devil.

He comes right up to me and says " I want you take care of my new puppies"

Then the alarm clock went off this morning and I was cracking up laughing in bed and Mr. Philly thought this... :bduh

The moral of this dream is....
