Clay Earns Praise from 'Aladdin' Songwriter...

...Clay Aiken has recorded “Proud of Your Boy,” a song that Menken wrote with partner Howard Ashman that was not included in the original film. The music video of that song will be included in the package. Menken noted that he was thrilled to have the “opportunity to bring this song to life.” “Hearing Clay sing this song Howard and I wrote 17 years ago…I was emotionally blindsided,” Menken said.

Clay Nominated for NMW Awards...

New Music Weekly released it's list of nominees for the NMW Awards, which will honor all the nominees and winners alike. This spectacular event is an exclusive event for music industry personnel, radio and celebrities. Clay was nominated for Top 40 Single with Invisible, and for Top 40 Male Artist. The NMW Awards will be held on Saturday, June 26th, 2004 at the famous Key Club Theater in Hollywood, CA.

"The first time I ever saw Clay Aiken on-stage and in person, was at a concert for the American Idol 2 Tour in August of 2003. My family and I (minus my 18 year old son) went to see that concert at the Arrowhead Pond of Anaheim, located in Orange County, California, about fifteen minutes away from where I reside.

It’s official – I am no longer the “Cool Mom.” With sons age 16 and 19, my title’s been on precarious ground for a while anyway. But my, um, “fascination” with Clay Aiken for the past year and a half has pretty much sealed the deal. They are mystified, no make that horrified, as they observe their almost-50 mother plan concert trips, spend entirely too much time on the Internet with her fellow Clay fans and play his music incessantly.

Now that 19 Entertainment will soon become a thing of the past for him, Clay Aiken can look forward to a healthy, multi-dimensional career that could encompass many different areas of entertainment. Of course, this is what he wants, although I’m sure that his intention is to very gradually enter the realm of T.V. and film acting with a cautious and humble attitude. He probably expects that it will take some time and education, but like all undertakings, he’ll dedicate himself, jump in and apply.

Clay Aiken Hits Road - Will Headline Solo Tour

Clay Aiken, who received rave reviews all over the country when he co-headlined a tour with Kelly Clarkson earlier this year, is going back out on the road in his first ever solo headlining tour. This will be the third time Aiken has toured the United States since last summer. Aiken commences a 42 date solo tour on July 6th in Bismarck, North Dakota, in support of his multi-platinum album "Measure of a Man." Though some of the dates are in cities that Clay performed in during his previous tours, many of cities have never experienced a Clay Aiken show.

Krispy Kreme is proud to have recently become a partner to the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, established by American Idol star Clay Aiken. The Bubel/Aiken Foundation seeks to ensure the education, community support, and inclusion of special-needs children into typical educational, employment, and recreational settings. In an to effort spread awareness of and help raise funds for the Foundation, Krispy Kreme is designating the week of July 19th as a “Special Week at Krispy Kreme.”
