If Clay Aiken were to make a movie about the winter holidays of his childhood, it would be more like "Christmas With the Kranks" than "It's a Wonderful Life." "All my Christmas memories are of something wrong happening or something that kind of bothered me," says Aiken...At 25, the "American Idol'' runner-up can look back with a smile now when he thinks about those early Christmases. Robbin Yates: Don't Save it All for Christmas Day...

I had a very special experience this week that touched me deeply, and I would love to share if I may. It is applicable for this time of the year when the holidays are upon us, and emotions are high. I often wonder if our children really understand the significance of Thanksgiving, and the importance of being truly thankful for what we have. I also have thoughts of those who take life for granted, and become self-absorbed. It seems that many of our young adults fall into this category, and do not take the time to count their blessings. I recently had a change of heart due to something that opened my eyes.

Clay Aiken's path to "American Idol" and the hit records and fame that followed was far from easy.
