UNC Charlotte Offers Idol Course . . .

Clay Aiken sang his way to a runner-up finish on the television show "American Idol." Last season, fellow North Carolinian Fantasia Barrino won a lucrative recording contract by claiming the title. The University of North Carolina at Charlotte will now cement the show's legacy in the state by offering an academic course about the TV show. Beginning in January, students at UNCC will earn three credit hours for the class "Examining `American Idol' Through Musical Critique." Click here to read more!

The October 15th issue of Entertainment Weekly had a clever little piece under "Style Sheet", entitled "Making Scents", and featured a photo of the face that's still everywhere-she-just-won't-go-away-- Britney Spears. This time, however, it was worth it to have to look at yet another picture of Mrs. Federline, because the blurb that was written beneath it regarding her new perfume "Curious" was priceless. Aiken Thrills Fans At State Fair Concerts

The dizzying rides weren't the only attractions at the North Carolina State Fair producing shrieks of delight on Monday. Singer Clay Aiken performed to two sold-out houses at the Dorton Arena on the fairgrounds, thrilling fans that came from near and far to hear the Raleigh native and former American Idol runner-up. "I just feel like a whole person when I hear him and see him," said Karen Holf, an older woman from New York who attended the evening concert. Click here to read more!

Clay to Perform at Madison Square Garden

On December 9, Clay will perform in the Theater at Madison Square Garden in NYC. This appearance is in addition to others already announced for small venues in Connecticut, New Jersey and California.
