Happy Tuesday everyone! I haven't been able to find anything on the theme of tonight's show but I can't wait anyway.

We're down to the bottom six and tonight we'll reach the top 5!

Hope to see everyone here!

Recently I read an article about the cruelty of AI, not only playing with the minds of the contestants on results night, but also making the recent kicked-off contestant sing. With that in mind I started watching NASHVILLE STAR to see how they handle it. I'm not particularly a country western fan, but the shows are somewhat similar.

NASHVILLE STAR calls out one by one from the group the contestants that are 'safe' or going to be around another week. At that time the 'safe' contestant sings his/her song for the next week's vote. At that time the judges judge. Then to the next 'safe' contestant, and on and on. The contestant left with the lowest vote count is just graciously thanked and said good-bye too. They do not have a mic crammed in their hand and forced to sing in front of a huge live & TV audience, all the time trying to put a smile on their face and look happy about it.
Perhaps AI should rethink some of their tactics. I know there's been alot of negative comments about Paula Abdul and her always postive judging, yet I applaud her for trying to give the contestants some dignity and pride in what they're doing.

Just my opinion (of course).

I understand how hard it must be for the person voted off to sing, but it may also help them. Its one last chance for publicity. The performer gets to show their talent off one last time - in hopes of getting a recording contract from someone other than 19E. I have found that some of those last performances were their best yet!

I think it is better when they sing on ET or like Nadia did on Ellen.  It may be hard to show one's best stuff for extra publicity, as has been suggested above, when one is SO disappointed.

(The person who handled his disappointment the best was Clay when he saw the card in Ryan's hand. His display of class following that was nothing short of amazing. )

i agree, besides those people have fans, and family in the audience, and the fans at home watching, so is nice to see your favorite sing one last time

I WAS INFORMED BY SOMEONE WHO IS IN THE KNOW (MAYBE) THAT ANTHONY IS GOING TO SING JOSH GROBANS "YOU RAISE ME UP" AND THAT CONSTANTINE IS SINGING "DROPS OF JUPITER " BY TRAIN. WHICH I HAVE NOT HEARD.
BUT , GO, GO, GO CONSTANTINE

Anthony singing "You Raise Me Up" could be VERY dangerous (IMO). That is a TOUGH song and I am not so sure that he could handle the high notes.

If you go here http://www.trainline.com/ and click on discography, you can hear "Drops of Jupiter". I am sure that you have heard it before.

i don't think anthony can pull that off... anthony has a nice voice but i don't think he has the control and range to pull that one off.

I read that Anthony was singing a song by Celine Dion.  Laughing

I guess we'll find out tonight!  I also read...

Quote
Carrie is singing "First Cut is the Deepest" by Sheryl Crow
Bo is singing "Here Without You" by 3 Doors Down

I LOVE Drops of Jupiter, and Here Without You.  This might really be good.  Oh boy.
