Clay Aiken's 'Florida Voices For Change' Benefit Dinner April 16 2005
Pop / Rock (2005-03-29)

FORT LAUDERDALE, FL. (www.thebubelaikenfoundation.org) - The Bubel/Aiken Foundation (TBAF) will host a gala benefit dinner, "Florida Voices for Change" on Saturday, April 16, 2005, at the Greater Fort Lauderdale Broward County Convention Center.

The night will feature a special performance by multi-platinum recording artist Clay Aiken. Earlier the same day, Clay Aiken will also be the keynote speaker for Today's Caregiver magazine's Fearless Caregiver Conference from 9:30 to 3:30, prior to the Gala.

Two Florida leaders will be presented with the first annual 'Florida Champions for Change' awards at the gala. They are Miami-Dade County Commissioner Sally Heyman and State Representative Susan K. Goldstein and for their outstanding work for Florida children living with Developmental Disabilities. The Dr. Michael M. Krop Senior High School choir will be accompanying Mr. Aiken during his performance of 'Bridge Over Troubled Water'.

Registration and a silent auction will begin at 6:30 p.m., with dinner at 8 p.m., followed by Aiken's performance. Cocktail attire is requested.

The Bubel/ Aiken Foundation provides grants, services and inclusive programs to children with special needs and their typical peers. Aiken, a former special education teacher and mentor, founded TBAF in 2003 with Diane Bubel, a parent and disability activist, whose son Mike has autism.

Tickets for the gala benefit dinner are available to the public for $200 and $275, with tables for ten available at the $25,000 Platinum Sponsor level, $10,000 Gold Sponsor level and $5,000 Silver Sponsor level. TBAF is a 501 © (3) charitable organization and ticket and table purchases are tax deductible to the extent allowed by law. Salute ads are also available within the evening's program.

RCA recording artist Clay Aiken's first album, 'Measure of a Man,' entered the Billboard ® charts at Number One and has sold nearly three million copies following his chart-topping song 'This is the Night,' which was the best-selling single of 2003. Aiken earned his degree in special education from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. The formation of TBAF was based on an independent study project Aiken created while in college.

Sponsorship and other details are available by contacting Bobbie St. Jean at Today's Caregiver Magazine, 954-893-0550 or Floridavoicesforchange@....

Complete information on ticket availability is available on the event website, www.thebubelaikenfoundation.org. To learn more about the Bubel/Aiken Foundation, visit the website at: www.thebubelaikenfoundation.org.
