Clay's Maine Squeeze

« Reply #1100 on: September 07, 2005, 06:23:50 PM »

Geesh, Ms. P--

If you lived in Maine you wouldn't need to spend any money.

You would just nominate 4 or 5 of your strongest friends, grab a big plank, the wheeled  dolly and jump into your truck and go move it yourself.

They don't call it Yankee ingenuity for nuttin' Laughing

Maybe Clay would want it.  He could afford to move it!  Laughing

Hey you said the 'C' word....I thought you said it was off-topic!  Laughing

That piano sounds nice but what would you do with it if you neither one play?  Do you have room for it?  Since you can read music, you should take piano lessons.  Maybe that skinny, white guy can recommend a good teacher!  Wink

You've played the flute? I do too! I started playing the flute in fifth grade clear thru 12th. I was in marching, symphonic and concert band. Now I play the flute in our church's worship team when I'm not singing. (We switch months.) As for the piano problem, I know those things weight a ton! My parents used to have one and when they got rid of it, my dad and uncle moved it. They both have horrible back problems (so do I for that matter), so it was quite interesting seeing that piano go out the door! Good luck, PamelaLaughing

The best kind of friend is the one you could sit on a porch with, never saying a word, and walk away feeling like that was the best conversation you've had.

Pamela,

If you have a place to display it, I'd say go for it! It will make a great conversation piece as to why you have a piano and neither of you play!  Laughing

When I got married, I had to leave my piano at my parents house  .  Neither one of them play, and I took lessons from 1st to 12th grade.  My mom said that I couldn't have it until she found a piece of furniture to replace it, because it would leave an empty space on her wall!  (where's that roll eyes emoticon when you need it!)  Laughing

Ooh Pamela - if I lived in NC I'd take the piano off your hands. I do have a piano already that I need to move into my house sometime in the future.

Hi all - I've never come across this thread - but I figured since I have a whirlwind of things going on right now, this might just be the place to stop by.

Great revival MuffyLaughing

You played the accordion, huh?  Do you still remember how to play it?  I'm not real good at multitasking so I'm not sure I could play something with the left hand and something with the right all the while SQUEEZING!   ROFLMAO  What?

Wait a minute!! Where's Mr. Angela??  I want a second opinion of this!!!  lmao

I used to play the piano and the clarinet.
I have NO clue on how to play either one now!! Laughing

But my hubby did buy me a Yamaha keyboard for my birthday a couple of years ago, so I can get back into playing.

And I will-----
