------------------------------------------------------------------------
Just to keep all of my poems in one place, I am posting a few recent birthday poems here.

June 13:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, PAMELA

Today is an exciting day
For someone special! No, not Clay!
It's your birthday, Pam, that's my hunch! :
(Was breakfast Cinnamon Toast Crunch?)

I'm sure that friends and family, too,
Have gifts and Clay things just for you,
With birthday cake and Peach Ice Cream,
(Or will you snack on Krispy Kremes?)

This site's our "home away from home,"
Where we can share and laugh or moan!
There's no place else we'd rather be!
(Will lunch be Hot Pockets and Tea?)

Pam, you're the "leader of our pack,"
The guide for each Claymaniac!
You can be serious or joke!
(Is dinner Mac 'n Cheese with Coke?)

Today is Sunday, your day off.
Have lots of fun, and "dang" the cost!
With Mr. P., have a great day!
(Don't eat like Clay, be a Gourmet!) :

Prissy

Wow! Thanks everyone for giving me a great big smile this morning!
I'm not sure anyone has ever written me a poem before...:::.... and yours are so sweet and funny! I'm going to print them out and save them. Don't laugh!

July 10:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, CJRMAX

A Happy Birthday, cjrmax.
You're very good at stating facts!
Your posts are great; never too much!
My wish for you: that Clay sings "Touch!"

July 11:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, LORRAINE

A Happy Birthday, dear Lorraine,
The "Voting Queen" for Clay.
I hope there are no clouds or rain,
But sunshine this Clay day!

The posts you write are a delight;
You always show such care.
In CAP'S and COLOR on this site,
Your thoughts with us you share.

Your soul shines through; you"re so sincere.
You can be funny, too!
Your love for Clay is very clear;
I wish he could know you!

Now, If I had a magic wand,
I'd wave it over Clay,
And then that "guy" of whom you"re "fond"
Would be yours for the day!

Prissy

I read that Clay once touched your hand;
And someone hit the floor! shock:
Lorraine, you're really quite the fan!
(Are you now T f W i E f N TY - FOUR? ) :

PRISSY THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR MY POEM. JUST THE TIME YOU TOOK TO WRITE IT MAKES IT THAT MUCH MORE SPECIAL. I REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

HUGS
LORRAINE

July 13:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, AIKENISMYIDOL

A Happy Birthday, Monica.
(Do you play the harmonica??) shock:
Oh! I recall, you play the flute!
(Your pictures with Clay are so cute!) 8)

I know that you write poetry
And songs, you sing, go skateboarding;
That mashed potatoes are for you,
From KFC, with MOUNTAIN DEW!

Enjoy your cake and gifts galore
From friends and family you adore,
And, Aiken's Little Angel, too,
May all your wishes soon come true! :D

Prissy

PS: I hope you have a HAPPY DAY
(And that Lorraine sends over Clay!)

Thanks!!

Prissy- I love the poem!! Oh maybe she will send Clay!

Who likes Clay's shirt tugs really well.
May this be a most awesome day
With gifts and cake (and maybe Clay!) 8)

Have a great Clay day, Marion!

July 22:

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MRS. C.

A HAPPY BIRTHDAY, MRS. C.,

AND THAT FEDORA! (MY, HOW CUTE!)
HIS EYELASHES SO LONG AND LUSH
FRINGE EYES THAT MIGHT TURN YOU TO MUSH!

CLAY'S HEART IS BIG, AS IS HIS VOICE,
AND THAT IS WHY HE IS YOUR CHOICE

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SHAIKENINSEATTLE

Happy Birthday to you, Shaiken,
From Seattle, with us here!
Your top guy is our Clay Aiken!
(Elvis! Buddy! Sorry, dears!)

Planner, seamstress, and a poet,
Western bands you sang with, too,
And square dancing! Don't you know it!
(Let's get Clay to dance with you!)

"Bedroom" eyes of green wink at fans,
Gentle hands, their touch is true;
Long leg knee bends; black leather pants,
("Greased" hips shaken': all for YOU!)

May this be a special Birthday,
With that family of nineteen!
All are singers; fans of "your" Clay!
(Hey! Clay number twenty! KEEN!)

Have a great Clayday, Linda!

Prissy

PS: I read that you are "Shaken and Aiken" to retire.
May that wish come true soon!

Wow, Prissy, what a great song! You did a lot of research!
Yes, the AIKEN for retirement is an UNDERSTATEMENT! I'm printing out your song for posterity! !

Thanks again to everyone for this happy place to live!

Hi Prissy!

Yes, the little Grease guy is shakin! He's adorable.

Again, you did a great job on it. Very, very clever poem. Thanks a bunch.

Love, Shaiken

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HUCKLEBERRY

Happy Birthday, Huckleberry,
From Ohio, with us here.
Your posts are so bright and merry!
(Is this the BIG 40 year?)

Language Arts is what you're teaching
To eighth graders in your school.
With Clay posters and Clay singing,
(Your class really must be cool!)

"Sparkly, twinkly" eyes with glasses,
You like on that "snarky" Clay;
And a tux or that red jacket!
(Ooh! That hip shake makes your day!}

FRONT ROW SEATS you have in Dayton,
Near your birthday; that's so neat!
Clio and Columbus....... AIKEN!!
(Would you sell one front row seat?)

"Clayed" at concerts for your birthday!
How much "sweeter" could it be?
Maybe you on stage with cute Clay!
(If not you, then why not me?)

Have a great Clay Day, Karen!

Prissy

A special quote from Karen's 12 year old daughter after a Clay Concert:
"ONCE JUST ISN'T ENOUGH, MOM!"

Thanks everyone for all the birthday messages!! It's makes the big 40 a little more bearable!!!

And Prissy...... What a wonderful poem!!!!!! But how in the world do you know so many details????????? Even quoting my daughter after the Independent Tour in Columbus.....WOW!!! Inquiring minds want to know!!!

Wow Prissy!! Thanks for taking the time to "personalize" my poem and countless others!! It really was neat to see that!!! You know, I thought about you being able to find out the details from my posts, but I don't really post that much so I didn't think that was possible...guess I talk a little more than thought!! And, NO, I do not care that you mentioned the big 40...I've been talking about it forever and I'm liking turning 40 much better than the alternative...although after this summer of Clay, I wasn't sure I was going to make it....lol That man just does things to me.... :D And NOTHING offended me....like I said, I loved it!! Yes, we are going to be in the FRONT ROW tomorrow...I can't wait!! We worked hard for these tickets..camped out at the Nutter Center in Dayton for 24 hours....had a great time though!! It is the last of 5 concerts for me so I think it'll be a little bitter sweet...but it'll still be Clay!!!! Again...thanks so much for the birthday wishes...writing a poem for everyone is a very personal, kind way to make their day special!! Thanks for helping make mine special!!

Karen, aka...huckleberry

Posted: Thu Aug 26, 2004 1:22 am    Post subject: Where are you, Glen?
------------------------------------------------------------------------
Today is Glen's birthday, but he has not posted since April. I wrote him a short poem. We might just wait and see if he is still "lurking." If someone knows about Glen, please let us know.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GLEN

A Happy Birthday to you, Glen.
You used to post, but that was then.
We haven't seen you in a while.
We miss your thoughts; you made us smile!

Duluth: You saw Kelly and Clay.
A Clayvert you became that day.
This site you joined and made your posts.
The BLPT you liked most!

A Lab Tech with a runner's soul;
To marry Kelly was your goal.
We miss you on your special day.
If you're "out there," give us a "Hey!"

Have a great day, Glen
Prissy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY SCOOTER

A Happy Birthday, Scooter, dear.
Today, you've reached your thirteenth year.
In Florida, with your mom, Her!
(Did I hear you like "tummy fur?")

A blue-eyed blonde who likes to read,
Write stories; also, poetry.
The comics are fun, soccer, too!
(May we have more Clay poems from you?)

The retro look is great, you think.
Your favorite color; yes, it's pink,
And leopard prints! Wow! From the mall!
(Do Clay posters adorn your wall?)

Though "country's fine," you're a Clay fan.
Your song choice, "Measure of a Man,"
And "Solitaire," "How cool," you say!
(In Greensboro, did you see Clay?)

Oh, Doodle Bug, I hope for you
That all your wishes will come true.
And if I could, this special day,
(To Florida, I would send Clay!)

Have a great day! Your mom is so special and you are, too!

Prissy

THANK YOU sooo much. That was so sweet. You made my mom cry. That's a pretty flower. :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D :D

TO PRISSY:

What a great poem...thank you from the bottom of my heart... Scooter has printed and placed in her Clay shrine!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEARTBRAIKEN4CLAY

A Happy Day, Heartbraiken4Clay,
From Utah, now up Seattle way.
The "Keeper of Clay's Tour Bus," you say
That you chased his bus part of a day!

A dance instructor is what I've heard,
Also, you're a choreographer.
I wager you would just love a chance
To teach Clay how to really slow dance!

Clay's stubble and that sultry lipbite,
Those shirt tugs and his grabbing that mike,
His glasses....are all things that you like.
(And Clay dreams, you have, sometimes at night!)

It's twenty-five you have reached today,
The same age as our cutie-pie, Clay!
If I could, I would wish just for you
To see Clay in a concert or two!

Have a great day, Larissa.
Prissy

PS: I know from what I've read that this is a bittersweet day for you.
I hope that a concert will happen for you in the future.
You are very special

HAPPY BIRTHDAY GRAMMAOF6

Grammaof6, Happy Birthday,
A Wisconsin fan of our Clay,
Church secretary and Grandma.
(A labor day baby, I saw!)

That demo CD is your choice
For Clay and his amazing voice.
Especially the gospel songs!
(Now, what's this talk about red thongs?)

Oh, Clay's long legs, those freckles, too;
That skin and face...mesmerize you.
Clay in a tux might make your day!
(Are you a red-head, too, like Clay?)

Milwaukee, Rockford, Clio - TWICE!
And Grand Chute, too, it must be nice!
A "Claying" you have had for sure!
(More concerts is the only cure!)

A Christian Camp for twenty years,
With all your family; they're such dears.
Today, with them, have lots of fun!
(I won't tell that you're sixty-one! )

Have a great Clay Day, Barb,

Prissy

Holy Smokers! Is this really for me? I jumped on the site for a few minutes this morning to read the daily A & N and check PM's. Never saw this wonderful Birthday card. I printed it all off to add to my Clay memories. Took it in to show gramps, he just smiles and shakes his head. Even after all this time, he's still amazed at all the great friends I've met on this board.

PRISSY I absolutely LOVE the poem! It's priceless . . . .

All of you - you are the best. I feel very blessed to have found this board and all of you! As we say in our family. "I love you thiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiis much!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAYMORE

Claymore, a most Happy Birthday,
Our ER nurse who's fond of Clay
From Houston you have joined us here.
Your posts are sweet! You're such a dear!

Oh, "Keeper of Clay's Thrusting Hips,"
Let's not forget those luscious lips!
Red jacket and snug jeans for Clay;
That "Grease" performance made your day!

Clay's bright green eys, long fingered hands,
That stubble, too, just wows "this" fan.
That southern accent is so cute!
Why not a tight Clay squeeze for you!

In Houston, you saw Clay, and then
In Houston, you saw him again!
So near your birthday, what a treat!
I hope you had a front row seat!

Have a great day, Claymore!

Prissy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CAROMILLER

Oh, Caromiller, Happy Day.
A Clay fan who's from Michigan.
You say that your family likes Clay.
(But what is this about your twin?)

Clean shaven Clay, you like the best,
But "scruffy" Clay is handsome, too.
That voice! That smile! There's no contest.
(His "quirky" looks are also cute!)

The AI Tour; Kelly with Clay;
Detroit; and then Clio...."Solo."
I'm sure you've loved these concert dates!
(Forget Clio, it's now CLAY-O !)

Have a great day, Carolyn,

Prissy

PS: Is it true your twin turns 40 today?

(from Prissy, who can't post for you since she's on her way to get CLay'd!)

What a wonderful greeting! I am sitting here at 1:18 in the morning, having just paid bills (and I am thankful that the money was in the bank to do that, let me tell you!) when I saw the beautiful birthday greetings on the board.

The only reason I knew about my happy birthday messages was because ydebi left a message on my cell phone (sorry Debi - I left it in the car for awhile by accident - I would have loved to have talked with you!) She mentioned my birthday was on the message board.

Yes, I have an identical twin sister that has not yet Clayverted but she has done something even better - She has converted to Christianity after many years of prayers. Yes - she is 40 as well.

I am very blessed in more ways than can be counted. All of you certainly add to my blessings. I am so thankful to all of you, my Clay family.

I haven't been on the site lately due to extreme and excessive busyness in the rest of my life.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AIKENSEEKER

Oh, Aikenseeker, Happy Day!
A New Jersey fan of our Clay.
The "Princess of Lechery." Woo!
(The BLPT's home to you!)

Clay's hands, his lips, that gorgeous voice,
His freckles, green eyes, are your choice.
You also love his ears and toes.
(Let's not forget that handsome nose!)

Clay's "I Know How the River Feels,"
A "Perfect Day" and "Touch" are still
Some favorite songs of yours, I see;
(Also, "When You Say You Love Me.")

In Philly in a front row seat,
You saw Clay, Kelly, too! How neat!
And recently at Musikfest,
(Did you see Clay?...Give him your best?)

Have a great Clay Birthday, Susan,

Prissy

I meant to pm you on my birthday to thank you for my birthday poem!

They are so special and it's so nice of you to take the time to do that for everyone who has a birthday!

Super hugs!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOONSHOT

Oh, Moonshot, a Happy Birthday!
A Florida fan of our Clay.
A former space camp counselor.
(You loved that job; it really "purred.")

Our Photo Moderator, now.
You post Clay Candy for us. Wow!
I read you gave away some books;
(With so many, that's what it took!)

I know the hurricanes' been tough,
And times for you sometimes are rough.
We love you so much on this site.
You are so sweet and a delight!

This is the best that I can do!
So many things I wish I knew!
Your favorite songs; things about Clay,
Concerts you've seen! (There is no way!)

I JUST found out it's your birthday,
I hope it's been an awesome day!

Michelle, I only found out 15 minutes ago it was your birthday. I would have loved to have written you a more personal poem. You are a treasure on this site, and I hope to meet you in Charlotte!!

Prissy

Thank you very much for the Birthday Poem. It meant a lot to me. Your poem and the birthday wishes of other Claymaniacs have been the most heartfelt and best part of my day today.

You've got a great talent and I'm so glad that you share it with the rest of us. You also have an amazing, kind, and caring heart and I am extremely glad that you share that with us also. Your poem brought tears to my eyes, it really was the best part of my day.

Thank you.

Michelle

------------------------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY BIRTHDAY BISI

Dear Bisi, a Happy Birthday!
An Ohio gal who loves Clay.
A Grandma of two little girls,
(They're smart and sweet; they are your "pearls.")

You love Clay's lips, those graceful hands,
And of his eyes, you are a fan!
And, ooh, that smile, it can be coy.
(You love the "man;" also, the "boy.")

A favorite song, "I Survived You,"
And Clay with Kim, "Without You," too.
You're also fond of "Solitaire,"
And "Buttercup." (His voice is rare!)

Four summer concerts you have seen;
Three times, Clay and Kelly; that's keen!
The AI tour, as well, I see.
(In Charlotte and Raleigh, you'll be.)

You bring us such great news of Clay.
My wish for you: a great Clay Day!

Have a great birthday, Brenda,
Prissy

Well, my day is almost over and it has been an extraordinary one, to say the least. What a wonderful way beginning it was to link onto the board this morning and read my very own special poem by Prissie -- thank you so much, you are ultra talented! Thank you Songbird, and all the rest of you who helped make my day so special! Needless to say, I thoroughly enjoyed all your posts and feel so fortunate to have made so many Clayfriends in this, my second home!

Now, to the unbelievable part! I went to my daughter's house for my little "birthday party" with my beautiful daughter, wonderful son-in-law and my two little "pearls." They had decorated the house, had birthday hats. My two little "pearls" put on a performance for me. We had my very favorite Chinese food from my favorite Chinese restaurant. I got some adorable presents from my Emily and Caity with beautiful cards. Then we had the birthday cake my 5 year old Caity made for me all by herself (except breaking the eggs and doing the oven thing as she is not allowed to do that part) -- it was delicious.

THEN, THEN, my daughter and son-in-law gave me my present from them. Now you have to remember that my Julie does not like Clay and cannot understand what has gotten into me. My present is the complete weekend in Raleigh and Charlotte including plane fare, rooms, and concert tickets. Can you believe it? I am truly blessed! It has been an absolutely wonderful day!!! Now I am going to go and thank God for all the blessings I so frequently and inexcusably forget to appreciate fully enough, and have some terrific dreams.

Thank you all so very much! I love you, Brenda

A California fan of Clay.
I know you like to see him dance!
(Watch interviews, if you've the chance!)

Clay's stubble's sexy, clean face, too.
That hair and cute accent's for you.
No glasses, please, is what you say.
(His "boyish antics" make your day!)

You like "When You Say You Love Me,"
"Kyrie," and "Unchained Melody."
At Ryan's show, and up close, too,
You saw our Clay and Kelly. Woo!

The AI concert you saw. Nice!
And Clay with Kelly you saw twice.
No solo concerts yet, I see;
(In Charlotte and Raleigh, you'll be!)

Now may this be a great birthday,
With Hubby, daughters! (Maybe Clay!)

Have a great day, Lorrie
Prissy

I would like to thank you all for the birthday wishes. I sincerely enjoyed reading each and everyone of them. And thank you, Prissy, for the wonderful birthday poem. You are so talented!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LINEY23

Dear Liney, a Happy Birthday!
A California fan of Clay,
A Crystal Teacher, Healer, too,
(Our Clay Philosopher, that's you.)

Clay's pouty lips and those green eyes,
That red/blond hair, are all quite nice!
But, wow, Clay's chest, it can't be beat!
(Would you like to massage his feet?)

The longer coats look good on Clay
And untucked shirts with ties, you say.
A "snarky" Clay is always best!
(And let's repeat: YOU LOVE HIS CHEST!)

Clay's "Still the One" and "Chain of Fools,"
And, ooh, that "Solitaire;" they're cool!
You love that speaking, singing voice!
(Sorry n'Sync, Clay's now your choice!)

In San Diego, you saw Clay,
Las Vegas, Staples, The Pond; Yea!
Also, at Jimmy Kimmel 2!
(It's fun to see Clay "live," that's true!)

Let's send Clay out your "OC" way,
On this, your "60th" Birthday!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY ANGELA

There is an "angel" on this site.
It shows in everything she writes.
Yes, "ANGELa" that "ANGEL's" you!
(You make this site so special, too!)

Your loving nature and sweet soul;
You have a heart that's truly gold;
Your "talent" is you show such care
For each of us; kind words you share.

So Angela, Happy Birthday,
Our Massachusetts fan of Clay.
You're Clay's "Official Bodyguard!"
(That job sounds fun, but is it hard?)

"When You Say You Love Me," (you say)
Is great; and "Shine" and "Perfect Day."
Clay's LONG LEAN LEGS IN SNUG BLUE JEANS
Might make you swoon and even scream!

You love the heart and soul of Clay
And how his expressions convey
His thoughts, without words; there's no need.
(That face melts your heart, yes indeed!)

So many concerts you have seen
In Massachusetts, three, that's keen!
The Solo Tour, three concerts, too;
(And Charlotte, we will all see you!)

Your hubby sounds like such a dear;
Bought Clay tickets for you, I hear.
The "Mystery Rides" that you two take
Seem such fun! (What a pair you make!)

With Hubby, have a great Clayday
On this, your "50th" Birthday!

Love,
Prissy

PS: Clay says: "These jeans are much too tight!"
Angela says: "No! They're just right!"

PRISSY---I JUST LOVE YOUR POEM. THANK YOU FOR TAKING THAT TIME FOR ME.

Prissy,

Love,
Prissy

Dear Prissy:

Thanks so much for the birthday poem--It was amazingly accurate and very funny, too! I will print it up and put into my scrapbook for posterity.

It was truly wonderful meeting you in Charlotte. You are such a vibrant, loving and amazing lady! Wish we could have played some duets. Maybe next time we can have something prepared to play. I'm not sure I'll be able to attend the gathering in the spring, but if I do definitely we should plan on a musical duo!

See you on the thread, Priscilla. And thanks again---

Love,
Thea

Our Clay, I think, you'd like to catch!

At the BLPT, you say.
Black or white leather is for you,
And Clay's hands, you really like, too.

Your first Clay Concert was LA.
At Staples with Kelly, you say.
Clay entered and walked down your aisle,
You touched his shoulder; drove you wild!

Your dad is a fan of Clay, too,
In fact, "introduced" him to you!
(And on your car, Clay's last birthday,
Did you paint "Happy Birthday Clay?")

A college student at Berkeley?
(Or have you transferred to NC?)
You turn "19" this special day.
(You're not too young! Just right for Clay!)

Have a great day, Cati!
Prissy

That spikey hair's edgy, you claim.
His stripy, funky look is cute,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAYLADY

Claylady, a Happy Birthday,
A Cleveland suburb fan of Clay.
Computers you're at all day long!
(But do you make time for Clay songs?)

You're "smitten" with Clay's clear, green eyes
And in his glasses, he looks wise!
A suit or tux, long jacket...keen!
(Wow! What about tight fitting jeans?)

Your favorite song is "Run to Me"
And "I Survived You," too, I see.
Oh, "Look What Love Has Done" is great,
Now, "Mary Do You Know," first rate!

Ohio's where you first saw Clay,

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAYDIAN

Dear Claydian, Happy Birthday,
An Ontario fan of Clay.
A Customer Service Rep, right?
We're glad you're with us on this site!

You're partial to Clay's clear green eyes,
And Clay in tight jeans, woo, that's nice!
His face, so fine; his smirk, so coy!
You just love Clay; he brings you joy!

"MOAM" and "Perfect Day"
Are favorites of yours, you say.
And "Mary Did You Know" is, too,
A song that's become dear to you.

In Canada, Clay's a NO-SHOW!
Yet, Clay has kept you on the go;
Seven concerts in the U.S.!!
A Christmas Concert? Detroit, Yes!!

Now, if I could on your Birthday,
To Canada, I would send Clay!

Have a great day, Karen,
Prissy

OMG-I am sitting here crying-thank you so much Prissy for the wonderful poem-thank you so much!

To everyone else thank you for all the Clay kisses and Clay well wishes-this has to go down as one of the best birthdays ever!

Dear Her, a most Happy Birthday,
A sweet Florida fan of Clay.
You are a treasure on this site;
We see it in all that you write.

Real Estate Legal Assistant!
(This work sounds tough, but might be fun!)
So many things that you can do:
There's art and sports, oh, cooking, too!

You love the "goofy" side of Clay,
And Clay's cute freckles make your day!
A little stubble, yes, that's cool,
And, ooh, striped shirts! Here's one for you!

It's hard to choose one song by Clay.
They're all so beautiful, you say.
But "Mary Did You Know" is one;
Clay shows how a song should be sung!

Three times in concerts, Clay you've seen:
Miami, Charlotte, and Raleigh.
Melbourne with Clay, one month from now!
It's Clay's Joyful Tour Concert. Wow!

You sent a Clay ticket to me
And also, a Clay DVD!

Clayaikenfan, Happy Birthday,
A California fan of Clay.
A teacher in a Middle School,
(Do your students think Clay is cool?)

You like Clay's smile, his hair and eyes,
And in a suit, he looks so nice!
It's hard to find, with Clay, a flaw.
(Would he make a good son-in-law?)

"Invisible," "I Survived You,"
And "Touch" are songs that you like, too.
His giving spirit and his heart
For kids are great, (also, he's smart!)

San Diego: Clay and Kelly,
El Cajon Concert, there you'll be!
Enjoy your 50th Birthday!
(I'll try to send your daughter, Clay!)

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BLUE BIRD

Blue Bird, a most Happy Birthday,
From Hong Kong, you're a fan of Clay.
Management Consultant, are you,
(And to this Clay site, you are new.)

Four years, you lived in the US,
From Cornell, you graduated!
Quite soon, you will move to Shanghai,
(To Chinese Clay fans, please say, "Hi.")

You love everything about Clay,
But his warm smile is tops, you say.
Clay's casual look beats the rest,
(Sweaters, shirts, jeans, they suit him best!)

"Measure of a Man," "Perfect Day,"
And "Shine" are songs you like by Clay.
You're waiting for his new CD..
(If it arrives today, how neat!)

Clay concerts you have not seen yet,
A Clay World Tour is your best bet.
You say you may need to fly here!
(If you do, tell us when and where!)

Enjoy your Birthday in Hong Kong,
With Clay downloads, you can't go wrong!
I loved the way you spoke of Clay.
I want to quote you, if I may!

Quote:

He makes me like the US more. I think he is perfect for the role of UNICEF ambassador. His sincerity, caring, high morality, and integrity should transcend cultural and language boundaries.
Would wish Clay the best in whatever way life takes him to and support his efforts in making a positive change in others' lives unconditionally.

Have a fantastic day, Eve,
Prissy

Thank you all so much for the warm birthday wishes!

I had a great time yesterday! It was unique too. I would like to come to the site as much as possible. However, the connection is usually slow for me at night when I normally log on. Maybe I should try in my morning later on.

I am still waiting for my shipment from Amazon. I already know I will have a wonderful holiday season listening to the CD and reading the book!

One amazing thing happend recently - a local TV channel is playing the AI2 every Thursday here in HK. And I am glued to the TV and try my best not to travel on Thursday so I can watch Clay in AI2. Seeing him in AI reminded me how much I liked him since his first audition!

Wish you all a happy holiday season and like I said to Prissy if you ever come to Shanghai please don't be a stranger

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAYISTHEWAY

Clayistheway, Happy Birthday,
A Chicago fan of our Clay.
Administrative Assistant,
(An artist, too, please sketch our "man.")

Now, every inch of Clay is nice,
Kind smile, that hair, and his warm eyes.
And Clay looks gorgeous in a suit.
(Oh, make that his "Birthday Suit." Oops!)

You love "The Way," "I Survived You,"
And "Solitaire's" a favorite, too.
"What Are You Doing New Year's Eve?"
(You say, "Clay, sing that song for me!")

You love Clay's genuine goodness;
That he wants to make a difference
In this world. He's remarkable!
{Clay changed your life! Your heart is full.)

The IT Concert, Chicago,
And Chicago, the Christmas Show!
Enjoy your "40th" Birthday!
With family, friends, (and why not Clay!!)

Have a fantastic day, Kathy,
Love,
Prissy

Kathy had an interesting Clay experience. Let her tell it in her own words:
Quote:
:
A coworker of my sister works with McDonalds and actually had a meeting with Clay (along with a few other people) in February. After the meeting, she mentioned to Clay how much I liked him and he signed a piece of McDonald's letterhead for me. Then he said to her, "You know what, I can do better than this". He then went out of his way, looking through all the stuff he had brought with him. I was told it took him at least five/ten minutes to find stuff. He eventually gave me: three 8 x 10 photos of him (one signed "Kathy - Health, Happiness, and Hope....Clay Aiken), a copy of MOAM, a t-shirt, and a bunch of paperwork which included his itinerary, accomplishments, etc. I will always treasure the things he gave me.

Thanks to everyone for the wonderful birthday wishes. Thanks especially to Prissy for the beautiful poem. I had a fantastic 40th birthday. Thanks again to all of you. You're the best!!! -Kathy

NOVEMBER 30, 2004

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAY

Oh, Clay, I hear it's your Birthday!
You're 26 today, you say.
And all across this Claynation
Are loud cheers and much elation!

So much accomplished in a year!
Just how did you do it, my dear?
You really are a "SUPER MAN,"
(And we are all your "SUPER FANS!")

Your schedule always seems so full,
In all directions you are pulled,
With Tours, TV, and Benefits,
(You must have a long "To Do List!")

Now, what about a good disguise,
So you can live a normal life?
And not have to sit home alone,
(Contact your friends, only by phone!)

You have a new home in LA.
(Will you decorate or will Faye?)
If you would like some home cooked meals,
Fans will deliver: (Meals on Wheels!!)

My wish for you this special day:
That health and rest may come your way.
Have fun with family and friends,
(To you, some Clay fans, I may send!!)

Much love,
Prissy

HAPPY BIRTHDAY AC

AC! AC! Happy Birthday!
Your birthday's two days after Clay's!
You are a favorite on this site.
(We love the funny things you write!)

Let's have a party just for you!
Now, who should the guest list include?
George Jones and Ray Stevens, you say.
(Wow! Barry Manilow and Clay!)

Oh, Conway Twitty sends regrets.
He can't be here, that's right, he's dead.
The same, Mel Blanc and Vincent Price!
(But LeAnn Rimes will come; she's nice!)

The OCDers in full force
Will all be here for you, of course!
And fans of your posts in FUN STUFF.
(Love those satires; can't get enough!)

I made it clear to "Scott and Grace,"
To not set one foot in this place!
You know how "Looney" they can be!
(They live inside your head, AC!)

You joined this site a fan of Clay,
So much you bring to us each day.
"Number Cruncher," you let us know
How rankings for Clay's music go!

So many Clay songs liked by you,
AC music, and Country, too.
Ohio guy, one concert seen.
(In Dayton with Clay fans, that's keen!)

You sleep all day and work at night,
Yet, find the time to post and write.
A Happy "28th" Birthday!
(Our "fellow" Claymaniac! Yea!)

Have a "fantabulous" day, Jerry!

Just to keep all of my poems in one place, I am posting a few recent birthday poems here.

That's a terrific idea, Prissy.  I love your birthday poems!  I still have the one you wrote for Kandise.

I think your contribution to this board is part of the reason it's so successful.  You invest a lot of time and a lot of heart in every poem, and you individualize every single one.

God bless you for that, Prissy.  You make people feel good about themselves.  What a gift you are!

I'm making this a sticky so everyone can come back and read their own birthday poem whenever they need a little pick me up.

 Big Hug!

Love you!

JANUARY, 2005, BIRTHDAY POEMS

HAPPY BIRTHDAY HNL97

hnl97, now may
I wish you a Happy Birthday?
Clay fan from Georgia, choir singer,
And a high school English teacher.

You like clean-cut, not scruffy, Clay,
And "leave that hat off, please," you say.
You love Clay in a tux or suit,
And in a shirt and jeans, he's cute!

"MOAM," "Shine," and "The Way,"
"I Survived You" are great by Clay.
You love the Christmas songs he sings.
(That Clay can sing just anything!)

The AI Tour in Charlotte, nice,
And Clay with Kelly, you've seen twice;
Solo, Dayton, a group of four,
JNT, also, Baltimore.

Close friendships, you've made through this site.
They're like your family; it feels right!
Enjoy your "26th" Birthday.
(You're just the perfect age for Clay!)

Have a wonderful day, Nicole!

Hugs,
Prissy

------------------------------------------------------------------------

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TIFFANY

Dear Tiffany, Happy Birthday!
A Maryland fan of our Clay!
A Hallmark store is where you work,
And dancer, too! (Clay, we'll alert!)

Now Clay is a beautiful man.
His smile melts the heart of "this" fan!
A perfect body; clear green eyes,
(You also have green eyes, how nice!)

"This is the Night" and "Perfect Day,"
"Don't Save It All For Christmas Day"
Are tops with you. "Solitaire," too,
And "Run to Me," (to name a few.)

Clay's solo tour in Delaware,
You watched at a rainy state fair!
JNT, Baltimore, how fine!
(So great, you're still up on "cloud nine.")

On AI, you never saw Clay,
Late fan, you love him more each day!
Have fun today, you're "29,"
(With Clay!!! He'll be "here" a looooooong time!)

Have a terrific day, Tiffany,

Hugs,
Prissy

Wow! Thank you all for your sweet birthday wishes. It is today so you aren't late.

It's a normal day for me. Just got off work and packing for tonight.

I love your poem Prissy for me. Thank you so much.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY INVISIBLE TOUCH

Invisible Touch, Happy Birthday!
Minneapolis fan of Clay,
A health insurance company
Is where you work (and lurk), I see.

Clay's eyelashes, luscious lips, too,
Cute freckles, all are liked by you;
Those long toes and expressive hands,
(And sleeping Clay! What a sweet man!)

Clay in a tucked-in shirt with jeans,
Now that's a look that you find keen!
His cute lip bite, his snarky wit,
With you, these things make quite a hit!

"MOAM," also "The Way,"
"Invisible" are tops, you say,
And "Merry Christmas With Love," too,
These Clay songs are all loved by you.

IT: St. Paul and Chicago;
Five times, the Summer Tour, Solo;
JNT, Chicago, again!
(Clay Concert! Just say where and when!)

The Diane Sawyer Interview

THANK YOU so much everyone! Yesterday WAS a wonderful day. I've had the flu for about 2 weeks now, but my older daughtrer was still here, she went back to college today, and she made me a lovely lunch at the sofa. Hubby made me my fave breakfast, grilled cheese sandwiches, and served me in bed :) My 10 year old made me baked salmon in sour cream (recipe in the Clay cookbook ) and we ate it while watching Rogers and Hammersteins Cinderella, just love musicals. I was pampered all day and loved it. And this thread was such a special treat. Thank you again, and Prissy, the poem is perfect :)

------------------------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY BIRTHDAY HEATER

Dear Heater, a Happy Birthday,
North Carolina fan of Clay.
You plan major golf tournaments.
(That sounds fun, but is it intense?)

You love Clay's eyes; glasses are fine,
And, wow, his smile just really shines!
You like Clay in jeans and in green.
(You pretty much like everything!)

Clay's "I Know How the River Feels"
And "Measure of a Man" are still
Favorites; also, "I Survived You,"
And "Still the One" is lovely, too.

In Raleigh, five Clay concerts seen,
IT, Solo, and JNT.
Greensboro and Charlotte, Solo;
(You did not have too far to go!)

Clay stands up for what he believes.
He's his own person, that we see.
At a book signing, you met Clay!
(How fortunate you felt that day!)

You are a sweetheart on this site.
We feel your care in all you write.
"27" you've reached today.
(You're very close in age to Clay!!)

Have a fantastic day, Heather.
Love,
Prissy

WOW! What a wonderful way to get my day started!!! I don't normally come on before work, but I knew that I should today.

Thank you all for the wonderful things you said. Prissy, the poem is priceless.

I am so blessed to have found Clay and all the friends that he brought into my life. I have been lucky enough to meet a lot of you and for that I am greatful. I am so enriched because of what each of you brings to this site.

I hope you all have a great day and thanks again!

The day got off to a good start when I came here to check out the birthday thread. Prissy did a wonderful job with the poem (as she always does) and all of the heartfelt messages from all of you were a great way to start my day.

MARCH BIRTHDAYS

Posted: Sat Mar 05, 2005 12:10 am    Post subject: HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDEE
------------------------------------------------------------------------
 HAPPY BIRTHDAY JUDEE

Dear Judee, a Happy Birthday,
Connecticut fan of our Clay.
The Bookkeeper in the high school
For the school lunch program. (That's cool!)

Clay has the greenest eyes you've seen,
And with glasses, they seem more green!
You like some stubble on that face,
(And "grubby" Clay makes your heart race!)

Now "Touch," "Solitaire," and "The Way"
Are favorite songs of yours by Clay.
And when he sang "Grease" on AI,
It was just magical that night.

When Clay sang "Solitaire" last year
On AI, he brought you to tears.
So handsome in a suave black suit
With black turtleneck. (Wow, he's cute!)

Now Providence, the AI Tour,
And Worcester, the Indy Tour.
Three times, Clay's Solo Tour for you,
And the JNT, three times, too!

You never will forget the day,
Waiting 12 hours to see Clay,
At the "Big E," you made Clay friends.
Your "life" on this site soon began!

Cody and Bailey are your "boys,"
Your shelties that bring you great joy!
You're "52" today, have fun,
With family and your doggie "sons."

Have a joyous day, Judy.
Love,
Prissy

Here are Judy's adorable shelties:

It was so wonderful for all of you to "honor" me in that way. I really appreciate all the time you put into the wonderful poem. I hope to someday meet you and many other maniacs face to face. Too bad we all live so far away from each other. It would be such fun to get our four Shelties all together. They are very special and I just love watching them. Thanks for posting their picture, too. With my daughters grown up, they really give me a lot of company. I hope you have a wonderful weekend. You are absolutely the best!!!!!!

Judee

Clay4me03, Happy Birthday,
A Missouri fan of our Clay.
You have four daughters and one son.
(They keep you busy, but it's fun!)

Clean face or stubble, sideburns, too,
And Clay's freckles are loved by you.
A shirt with matching tie looks sweet.
(You'd like to pinch those cute Clay cheeks!)

You raised funds for the BAF
With Krispy Kreme cards and "Clay wrap."
State Coordinator, that's true;
Missouri for BAF, cool!

"God gave the world such a sweet man,
With morals, values," (says this fan.)
In St. Louis, IT with Clay
And Kelly, too! (It made your day!)

You've had to leave us for a while.
We miss your posts; you made us smile!
Enjoy your "38th" Birthday,
With family, friends, (hey, why not Clay!!)

Have a great day, Jacki. I hope life is smoother for you,
and you can join us here again, soon.

Hugs,
Prissy

An Omaha fan of our Clay.

But Clay's Christmas CD is great!
Some songs you like more than the rest.
Here are the ones that you like best:

"Invisible," "I Survived You,"
And "When You Say You Love Me," too.
"Don't Save It All For Christmas Day,"
"O Holy Night," "MDYK."

Omaha, Independent Tour,
Sioux Falls and Des Moines, Solo Tour;

Early mornings, you're on this site.
You know us from the posts we write.
Enjoy your "53rd" Birthday,
Spend more time here with us (and Clay!)

Hugs,
Prissy

Hi Prissy!
Thank you for the Birthday poem! Good job!!

This is a nice thing you do for us, and I just wanted to let you know that I appreciate it, as I'm sure everyone does. Like I said, there's a lot of great people on this site - that's why it is like no other. And, you know sometimes it really IS the little things that count, like a person dropping in on a thread to wish someone else a happy day.

Thanks again, it helped make a rough day a little easier!

Take Care,
~Buffi

 HAPPY BIRTHDAY BOCAQUEEN

There's someone special on this site,
Who shows her love in all she writes.
She's "Mama" on the OCD
And "prayers" are her specialty!

So many here have felt her care
And know the friendship that she shares.
In her big heart, each has a place,
And for one more, there's always space.

Dear Bocaqueen, Happy Birthday,
A Florida fan of our Clay!
"Chief cook" and "household engineer,"
(Piano, you play, too, I hear!)

Jewelry Company Manager
And Aftercare with Preschoolers;
These are some jobs once held by you,
Pan Am and advertising, too!

You love Clay's wink and that lipbite,
And, ooh, those beautiful green eyes!
Clay just melts you with that sweet smile.
(Let's stare at his long legs a while!)

A jacket or a tux on Clay;
That "GQ" look is great, you say.
Clay's long, lean legs in jeans that fit,
(With you, that look makes quite a hit!)

"Don't Save It All For Christmas Day,"
"Unchained Melody," and "The Way,"
"Mary Did You Know," "Mack the Knife,"
"Solitaire," too; (all songs you like!)

Miami, Independent Tour,
And Melbourne, the Joyful Noise Tour;
Two Clay concerts so far, for you.
(Florida Clay fans, you met, too!)

Clay's faith, morals, philanthropy,
Draw you to him; it's clear that he's
Much more than good looks, a great voice.
(Clay's love for God makes him your choice!)

"Clay's Scarlet," you're "50" today,
And in Charlotte with fans of Clay!
"Boca Cabana," we'll have fun
And act like we're all "21"!!!

Have a most special and happy day, Susan.
Love,
Prissy

A extra special thank you to Prissy and Ac for your outstanding Poem and Song.

Prissy...you are so special.

Thank You.

Love,
Susan

One regret you may have, other than not being with us at the Social,.....would have to be, not being able to hear our dear Prissy actually reading her poem to you. As wonderful as all her beautiful poetry is.......it is a thousand times more fabulous, hearing her speak those words to you in her sugary-sweet Texas accent.(and she THINKS WE are all the ones who have accents...LOL)

And Clay with kids! That's great, you think.

14 "Concerts" so far for you.
At one, you sang with Clay, that's true!
3 times you hugged him while on stage!
(All envied you! You were the rage!)

The Disney Parade, you were there,
5 feet from Clay, you do declare!
Clay encounters! You've had a few.
(In Charlotte, I got to meet you!)

Enjoy your "23rd" Birthday
With niece and nephews (and more Clay!!)

I hope you had a wonderful day, Sarah,
Love,
Prissy

------------------------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CLAYHARMONY

Clayharmony, Happy Birthday,
A California fan of Clay!
A fifth grade teacher at your school,
(Do fifth graders think Clay is cool?)

You love art, books, politics, CLAY!
Cello, guitar, and golf you play.
Pianist with passion and heart,
Of this board, you love being part!

Clay's lanky physique, twinkling eyes,
His smile, the sound of his laugh, nice.
You love Clay's look for JNT
And "Solitaire" look, AI3.

"Don't Save It All For Christmas Day"
And "Look What Love Has Done," by Clay,
You like these and "Solitaire,' too.
(So many songs, it's hard to choose!)

Staples Center, LA: IT;
Pasadena, the JNT.
Also, Clay on the "Tonight Show,"
(What fun to see Clay with Leno!)

Your birthday's the same day as Faye's.
Clay's mom and you are close in age.
How neat if you and Faye today
Could both share your birthdays with Clay!!

Have a joyous day, Johanna,
Love,
Prissy

Johanna has written a beautiful Ode to Clay that I want to share with you:

ODE TO CLAY: HOW DO I LOVE YOU, LET ME COUNT THE WAYS…
(with thanks to Elizabeth Barrett Browning)

1. I love your broad, square shoulders; the twinkle in your eyes; the lift of your eyebrow when you are expressing mock horror; your long legs-especially when you cross one leg over the other, one ankle resting on the other knee.

2. I love your wit; the sound of your voice when you utter expressions “not funny”…”it’s just not good.”

3. I love the sound of your laugh like the time you laughed when Rubin said, “sing it, Clay!”

4. I love your passion…when you commit to something; you give it all you have!

5. I love your discrimination…little things/big things…it reveals your individuality and humanity. .

6. I love your humility…thinking your nothing special is indeed special in this day and age.

7. I love your values, what you hold most important…your compassion for those who struggle.

8. I love your capacity for joy which pours from your being while you sing, while you share, while you laugh.

9. I love the love you so freely share at every turn.

10. I love you for the you, you have revealed to me irrespective of your talent, your celebrity.

Thank you so much for remembering me on my birthday. I so appreciate your thoughtfulness, Prissy. I am making a copy of my birthday poem and thread to place with my keepsakes. How generous it is of you to take the time to write birthday poems for us here at Claymaniacs.

------------------------------------------------------------------------
In one of our early phone conversations, jj told me of some of her Clay
preferences and the concerts she had attended. I have decided because
of the circumstances to write her birthday poem in two parts.

FOR JJ ON HER BIRTHDAY

Dear jj, today's your birthday,
Sweet Georgia fan of Clay.
You love Clay's "Howdy Doody" look;
His freckles make your day!

Now, Clay in jeans or a dark suit,
In either, he's so cute.
You love the Christian songs he sings,
"The Way's" a favorite, too.

Flower arranging, home projects,
You're really good at these,
A fantastic Mom and Grandma,
Good listener, I see.

Atlanta, the AI2 Tour,
The IT, in Duluth,
The ST: Virginia, Portsmouth,
JNT, Atlanta, too.

~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~

Dear Joyce, we "met" you on this site,
Where talk is mostly "Clay."
But so much more, we all have shared,
Our cares and thoughts each day.

When cancer struck, you let us know,
And we stand strong by you!
We pray, send cards, and even call,
Much love we give you, too.

We pray  a miracle occurs
And you are healed, my dear.
And on this earth God grants to you
Many, many more years.
Much love,
Prissy

For all of us (and Clay!!)

Oh my! I came to post on JJ's thread and I saw my happy birthday thread, and you guys have me crying already and it's only 8:00a..m. I am a real softie and you all have touched my heart so deeply. Thank you Prissy for my poem, you are so dear to do this for all of us.

JJ and I was going to celebrate together over the phone today. We had planned to start when we were born and go thru our lives, we laughed as we said it would take hours and maybe days. I told JJ that's alright my beautiful Moonshot sent me a telephone card and we would think of her as we were talking.

Thank you again for thinking of me on my birthday.

Hugs, Pepe

Prissy, thank you so much for the wonderful birthday poem and for starting my birthday thread. I think the world of you!

Hugs and love, Shirley/Pepe

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LORILOVESGOLF

Lorilovesgolf, Happy Birthday,
A Mississippi fan of Clay!
A Paralegal, yes, it's true.
(But golf! That's really fun for you!)

You love to read and ride your bike,
Work in the yard and be outside.
This site feels like a family,
And more of us you hope to meet!

"Invisible" and "Chain of Fools,"
And "Go the Distance" are so cool!
But "I Know How the River Feels"
And "Good News," why, they give you chills!

When Clay sang "Good News" in that suit,
You loved that look. He was so cute!
His new soft, dark brown hair, first rate,
But spiked with highlights is still great!

Three times you saw Clay in DC,
Capitol Fourth, AI, IT.
Dover: Benefit and NASCAR,
The JNT in Baltimore.

"Clay cares for people," says this fan,
And, yes, you just "love the whole man."
Enjoy your "49th" Birthday.
(Why not a golf "twosome" with Clay!!)

Have a lovely birthday, Lori.
Love,
Prissy

And, also, "Unchained Melody,"
All favorite songs, you say.

New York; Massachusetts: IT.
ST: Foxwoods; Big E-->
(Where you waited 15 hours!)
Oakdale, the JNT.

You love how Clay uses his fame
To help children in need.

I have never been so touched by the love you guys have shown through your posts to me today. I NEVER thought a year ago that I would have met so many caring friends....friends that all LOVE Clay too...imagine that!!! I am TRULY blessed to have friends like you and even a Claymaniac guardian angel in heaven. I love and miss you Julie!!!

Prissy,

I just wanted to thank you for my beautiful birthday poem. I wasn't sure if you read back and saw my post, but I wanted to make sure you knew how much I appreciated it!!!

It is such a wonderful thing you do for everyone, as I am sure there are many people here who may not get a Happy Birthday from anyone else.

I know it is a lot of work and a lot of your time spent giving to others so selflessly. I hope we get a chance to meet someday.

Thank you again!!

Love,

In the attendance office. Cool!

JULY BIRTHDAYS (LAST TWO POEMS)

Posted: Mon Jul 04, 2005 2:17 am    Post subject: Happy Birthday
------------------------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY BIRTHDAY OUTTHEREFORCLAY

Outthereforclay, Happy Birthday,
A California fan of Clay!
A teacher sub, you've been a while,
(Yet you are very versatile!)

You're also an event planner.
(You've been a corporate trainer.)
Project management, you do, too,
(And you've taught English in high school.)

Clay's mouth, agile tongue, perfect lips
Could cause your heart some beats to skip!
His pants that "drape" with tucked-in shirt,
Collar "open." (Please, no t-shirt!)

Clay's "Solitaire," when performed live;
Great pleasure from this, you derive.
And, wow, when Clay really lets loose
With songs like "Doves." (Does Clay seduce?)

Clay in concert, four times, IT,
And five times for the NAT.
THe JNT, why, you saw twice.
The JBT, five more times. Nice!

Your writings leave us all in awe!
You paint word pictures. (We just draw.)
A professional singer, too,
(Would you like Clay to "sing" with you?)

From heaven, Clay's God-given voice,
The joy he lives, makes him your choice.
For you, many more great birthdays,
This new half century with Clay!

Have an absolutely awesome day, Amy.
Hugs,
Prissy

I would like to share with you Amy's own expressive words about Clay:

I can honestly say that the things that have come to me because of Clay Aiken have made my life richer and fuller. I recently saw "Shall We Dance" and I identified with the character who said that he didn't know he was missing something until he discovered dancing. That's how I feel about Clay. My life was full and happy. Then Clay came along...and the people I've come to know because of Clay and the pure joy and meaning Clay himself represents and infuses in my own life......it's all an incredible blessing and my life has never been more wonderful!

Prissy, this is incredible of you! What a wonderful thing to do...Thank you!

THis is SOOOO exciting! Thanks, everybody! I just popped in after our little town's annual "Mayor's Parade" and am just grinning from ear to ear, reading all the wonderful Happy Birthday WIshes!

Prissy, your poem is too terrific! THank you SOOOO much! MWAH!

Happy 4th, Fellow Clay Lovers!

Clara

I swear, you and Prissy are making me blush! How great is your song for me?!?!??!!? Thank you!

And I will definitely use my imagination, babe! It's one of the things I do best....heh heh....I don't always do as well at keeping my imagination within certain "rules and regulations", but hey!

Another bow to my poets and songwriters...Prissy and Clara ..and Marilyn

PS - Clara and Prissy, you seriously rock!

------------------------------------------------------------------------
HAPPY BIRTHDAY CJRMAX

Cjrmax, Happy Birthday,
Near Philly, you're a fan of Clay!
You are the manager, I see,
Of a "cool" travel agency!

You love Clay's stubble, lips, and eyes.
His hands and smile are also nice.
You also like other Clay "parts,"
(Like...oh, his hair and...yes, his heart!)

At "Wango Tango" that Clay look
And Ryan's "On Air," you were hooked!
Tucked-in shirt and skinny black tie
And, wow, those tight black jeans! (Oh, my!)

A favorite song? Yes, it's still "Touch."
A year ago, you said as much.
Another favorite may appear,
(But live "Touch" we still want to hear!)

Clay concerts, three times, the IT,
And eight times for the NAT.
JNT, three; JBT, six.
(Dover, BAF Benefit!)

May your Clay good times never end
For you and for all your Clay friends!
"Can one ever have enough Clay?"
Our answer, NO! That's what we say!

Have a wonderful day and year, Christie.
Hugs,
Prissy

Prissy - I was honored to be the recipient of your final birthday poem! Thanks so much for making my birthday - and so many others' birthdays - so very special.

For over a year, Prissy has been thoughtful and generous with her time and energy as she graced many of us with a touching tribute in poetry on our birthdays.

Prissy's poems and birthday threads have been a very special part of this community for over a year, and with Christie's birthday poem and thread today, she is retiring.

We are grateful and honored by the kindness shown to us by Prissy. I think I speak for everyone when I say,

"Thank You Prissy! You made our birthdays special, and we love you!"

All Prissy's birthday poems are archived in the Fun Stuff thread, found HERE.

Clay's Fiddlin' Poet

« Reply #16 on: July 11, 2005, 10:25:43 AM »

BIRTHDAY POEMS

A year's cycle is now complete
Of Birthday Poems, to you from me.
Perhaps your poem caused you to smile,
(Maybe you "saved" it for a while!)

When I began, I read each post
To know you and what you liked most.
But that task became hard to do;
(Hundreds/THOUSANDS of posts by you!)

So, then I sent the "questionnaire,"
And, kindly, many thoughts you shared
About yourself and, also, Clay.
(Such lovely things you  had to say!)

Once started, it took little time
To write a poem with time and rhyme.
ONE HUNDRED FORTY-FOUR in all!
('Twas my pleasure!  I had a ball!)

Affectionately,
Prissy

Last line "outtakes:"

(You didn't get to hear my drawl!)
(Now I'll have more time at the Mall!)
(Is it still Summer or now Fall?)
(I "sent" you Clay?  Now, I recall!)

You did open all your gifts??!!
