Killing Me Softly
A tribute to Clay Aiken

From the warm green eyes
Gazing down upon me,
To the angelic voice
Flowing so clearly into my ears,
He makes me melt
As his hands gently caress the mic
And teasingly tug on his clothes.
I am covered with chills and
My heart is aching as I listen to him sing.
I can’t talk to him.
I can’t feel his touch.
He doesn’t even know I exist.
The voice, the looks, the wink, the tug,
The tease, the smile, the giggle.
It is all too much yet not enough.
There is no cure for my aching heart
And there is no cure for love.
He is killing me softly.

There is no cure for my aching heart
And there is no cure for love.

Beautiful.  Thank you for sharing it with us.

It's so true.  He always leaves us wanting more, and when he leaves the stage I always feel like he takes a little piece of my heart with him, and I miss him.

People often say that you can't miss someone you never knew.  Clay taught me that, yes, you most definitely can.
