Ouestion? The numbers on the CD's . Do they also count the preorder ones from Amazon etc.? What about update on book sales? Also the numbers for the CD's(MOAM,MCWL,etc) are the ones sold international also counted in the numbers? I know this is a stupid question but ;I'm just trying to learn.

That info is harded to find than CD sales, but I'm looking!

No, those sales numbers are just for domestic sales. I understand that international sales are factored in for RIAA certification though, which determines gold or platinum status.

Bookscan Info
BookScan generally claims to represent between 70% and 75% of sales in the industry (Wal-Mart and some of the supermarket chains are among those who decline to report.) But a comparison with in-print figures supplied by publishers reveals that the numbers are more likely to represent about 65%, even after deducting for unsold books and returns.
