SECURITY CAME BY DURING THE BEGINNING
OF THE SECOND SET AND SHE HAD TO
PUT THE PHONE ON THE FLOOR...
HE REFERENCED DURING ISY TO JACOB
THAT THIS IS THE FIRST TIME JACOB
HELD THE NOTE LONGER THAN HIM, HE
MADE A REFERENCE TO BEING "SICK"
BUT IT DIDN'T INTERFER WITH THE
PERFORMANCE......THERE IS ONE REALLY
HIGH NOTE ON YWT - HE DIDN'T GO FOR
THE HIGH NOTE - ALSO ON TITN HE DIDN'T
GO FOR ALL THE HIGH NOTES - BUT ON
SOLITAIRE HE REALLY REALLY WENT FOR
IT - SHE SAID IT WAS MINOR AND YOU
COULDN'T TELL AT ALL..
I HAD A GREAT CONNECTION FOR THE
SECOND SET AND I COULDN'T TELL ANY
PROBLEMS WITH CLAYS VOICE IN
THE LEAST..............DANNY & JACOB &
S'VON ARE GETTING THEIR PICTURES TAKEN
JACOB & S'VON WERE SITTING ON THE STEPS
OUTSIDE BEFORE THE CONCERT AND SHE SAID
SOMETHING TO THEM ABOUT GETTING READY
FOR THE PERFORMANCE, THEY SAID IT WAS
NOT A PROBLEM......HER FRIEND GAVE DANNY
A STUFFED DOG (HE KEEPS THEM ON STAGE)
THROUGH CHUCK - HE GAVE HER A GUITAR
PICK & GOT HIS PICTURE TAKEN WITH HER.
HE CARRIED THE DOG SHE GAVE HIM ON THE
STAGE WHEN HE ENTERED - HOW KEWL!!!!
THIS IS TACY'S LAST CONCERT THIS SUMMER!!

One final report from tonight's concert I just came across - maybe this will also help you not feel too badly about that naughty sign.

-Clay was in a very fun, playful mood tonight. I enjoyed his personality tonight very much. We got to hear him say “ding-dang, hush and goodness!” all in one night. When the little Jacob came up to sing TITN, Clay was loving it. He was bouncing around and jumping up in the air and stomping his feet.

-The crowd was excellent and he fed off of it. The upper tiers were blocked off (Pepsi Arena is quite large) but it looked 90%+ sold.

-He did say that the only reason that Jacob won the long note in ISY was that he (Clay) was sick. I wouldn’t have guessed at that point that Clay was sick, I had only heard a few phlegmy notes.

-He fooled us! He switched up STO with KYWW.

-He really worked hard on the last four songs and made some smart moves to save his voice.. He sang some lower notes for YWT (which I actually liked better) and he seemed to have the most trouble with TITN. He lost one high note completely and he worked very hard on that song. That was the first time I think that I ever saw Clay take extra breaths between words. Invisible gives him a break as the audience sang most of the second chorus. I was a little worried about Solitaire. He started off slowly and sang a few notes in a lower key. Then he threw all caution to the wind starting with “a little hope, goes up in smoke” and just nailed it. I was very proud of him but I’m glad he has a few days off.

-Oh yeah, the dirty sign? Boy loves himself some dirty signs. He specifically pointed it out. He pointed to the sign and S’Von read a different sign and he said “no, no the sign two rows behind it.” He didn’t want it shown on the jumbotron, which was smart as there were kids there but he was laughing. He said he was embarrassed, etc but in a fun way. He even asked Little Jacob if he saw the sign and told him to stay away from that mess (again, in a jovial way). So anyone who says he was upset/embarrassed in a bad way is dead wrong, IMO. There were dozens of signs, he could have just ignored that one.

So, all is well.

CLOSE ENCOUNTERS OF THE CLAYED KIND
OH MY GOD I WAS 15 FEET FROM CLAY ON THE CATWALK. I HAVE NEVER BEEN THAT CLOSE-I SAW HIS SPARKLY EYES, THE VEINS IN HIS HANDS, HE LOOKED AT ME TWICE!! (I THINK MY 6 '5 SON DREW HIS ATTENTION BECAUSE DURING THE DANCE CHRIS WAS GOING "PICK HER PICK HER" IN A REALLY REALLY LOUD VOICE, AND JEROME WAS STANDING NEXT TO HIM. ALAS IT WAS NOT TO BE (BUT THATS OK BECAUSE I AM A KLUTZ AND WOULD HAVE FALLEN ON MY FACE-JUST ASK LINDA,LORRAINE AND ANGELA ABOUT MY GRACEFUL SWAN DIVE AT MUSIKFEST)

ANYWAY I DIGRESS-PERHAPS BECAUSE ITS 2:59 AM AND I JUST GOT FINISHED DRIVING 405 MILES ROUND TRIP TO SYRACUSE?? BUT OH MY GOD IT WAS SO WORTH IT!!

THE CELL CERT HAD IT RIGHT-CLAY CAME OUT ANIMATED AND STAYED THAT WAY THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE SHOW- STREETS HAVE NO NAME-IT WAS SO EXCITING TO SEE THE STAGE OPEN AND HAVE HIM COME OUT LIKE A BUTTERFLY EMERGING FROM A COCOON. HIS NOTES WERE RIGHT ON-HE WAS SO PUMPED UP!!  SHINE- FABULOUS, FABULOUS.
IM SURE YOU HEARD HE PICKED A GIRL-BUT ITS TRUE HE LOOKS ALL OVER-THE GIRL WAS IN THE STANDS ON THE SIDES-SHE WAS SO EXCITED-AND WHEN SHE WAS FINISHED SHE CRIED-"BUT MY FRIEND HAS MY CAMERA" SO HE WALKED OVER TO THAT SIDE OF THE STAGE AND SAID -HER FRIEND IN THE BLUE SHIRT HAS THE CAMERA-TAKE OUR PICTURE!!!
WHICH SEEMS EXTREMELY FUNNY BECAUSE JEROME AND OTHER SECURITY GUARDS WERE ESCORTING PEOPLE OUT WHO HAD CAMERAS-I THINK THOUGH THAT THEY WERE MORE PROFESSIONAL CAMERAS-OR MAYBE VIDEOCAMERAS.
ITS TRUE CLAY READ A LOT OF SIGNS-BUT HE DID SAY THAT PEOPLE BEHIND THEM WERE PROBABLY GETTING REALLY MAD ABOUT THEM. THEN HE SAYS -ARE YOU GUYS ALL MAD ABOUT THE SIGNS?? AND A TON OF PEOPLE SCREAMED "YES" AND HE SAID SOMETHING LIKE-WELL THATS OK IF YOU PUT THEM DOWN AFTER. (NOT WORD FOR WORD BUT SIMILAR TO THAT) SO HE WAS DEFINITELY DROPPING GENTLE HINTS.

WELL I HAVE MORE TO TELL BUT I AM FALLING ASLEEP AT THE COMPUTER=AND I HAVE TO GET UP FOR WORK AT 6:45 SO I WILL TELL YOU MORE TOMORROW!
