Actually, the writer of that News & Record review isn't a writer at all.
He's a DJ!  Explains a lot!  BWAHaha!

See the note at the end of the review:

Quote
Eugene B. Sims is a DJ at WKRR, Classic Rock 92.

Nuff said.

I'm always shocked, as everyone is, when I read a review like that after all the wonderful ones.  I think there will always be people like him, mostly men, who just don't get Clay.  And I think it's based mostly on two things:  jealousy, and there will always be people who are jealous of someone so beloved as Clay.  And also, there are the people who are just a little dead inside, who don't want to be inspired, "withered souls" who are threatened by a man who so openly expresses his feelings.  Maybe they feel it's a threat to their masculinity.

Anyway, we can just feel sorry for them.  As we can see by the articles and posts, there are more and more men who are "getting it" and joining Claynation.

He's a DJ?  That explains it all.  Clay is a big threat to his kind of music.  Well, we get enough of that on TRL.
