Lots of items to bid on in the silent auction; I looked at everything and bid on a programmable thermostat and won it at a fraction of its cost!
Prissy does that mean more wiring for Skip
The last two are my favorite tablescapes
love the colors and the charger plates are really neat
JoAnn coffee for you, Randy, Jennie and all, hoping that foot is OK
hot tea and hot chocolate and chocolate donuts are here. Jan come and tell us about the concert and grab a few
I also made some banana/walnut bread to snack on
I slept in a bit this morning, felt good even though all three kitties were trying to get me up

Good Morning!
I am going to try to get a post in, unless Kaitlyn wakes up. I got up to let the dogs outside - looks like another beautiful day. It was 72 degrees here yesterday!
We plan to enjoy today, because rain is predicted for the next 5 days.
I see that Clay and Ruben have announced another concert - in NY in August. Wonder if this is going to be a full blown concert tour, or just a couple of appearances?
Pepe - I forgot to tell you that Kaitlyn picked a huge vase full of buttercups and paper whites yesterday. The fruit trees are about to pop out in blooms, too.
Jan - there is a help section at Photobucket - you can email them with problems. I'm sure all of your photos are still there. As Betty said, your hibiscus will come back - ours freeze down every winter, and do come back from the roots. Hope the symphony was good last night.
JoAnn - how great that Randy cooks as well as paints. Hope he and your Mom are spoiling you - stay off that foot!!!
Prissy - more tablescapes
I hope to find a few new Easter things for my table this week - I have my 3 large bunnies, but want to change the ribbon around their necks, and hope to find a new table runner or placemats. Denim and Diamonds sounds like such fun!
Glory - I love that outdoor furniture - they had it at SAMS last year. I wanted either yellow or red, since our deck is off our bedroom. We chose the set with yellow because it also came with a fire pit.
Betty - hope you read all 5 pages of the Lupus article. As you see, it said that Lupus is sometimes hard to diagnose - sometimes takes years. I hope your doctor does all of the blood tests, and has a definite diagnosis. I hope you also read the part about people with Lupus needing rest - I am prescribing a long nap every afternoon! The problem with Shirl getting to small places is the wheelchair - it is so hard when she has to changes planes. She needs direct flights and good ground transposrttion. I hope she can make the concert, too.
We are going to make a SAMS run this afternoon (taking Kaitlyn and Toby home, too - she has school tomorrow). We are also going to Michaels to begin the process of framing all of Lewis' Saints newspapers for the office - hope we can find finished frames to buy, then have mats cut for the frames. I also hope I can find some above mentined things for my Easter table. I found out two days ago that my Sister is coming for Easter!
Sharon - I beat you here this morning (I can't believe I'm up so early two days in a row!) I'll check back later for donuts.............

GLORY , the outdoor furniture sounds so pretty. I hope you get it as I want you to have all those pretty things you so deserve. I use to buy a Shamrock plant every year for my son who was born on St. Patrick's day. Sometimes the flowers were white and sometimes I would find the pink flowers. Hope you get another lease signed.

FRANKIE, I could almost smell the fresh morning air as you opened the door this morning to let the puppies out. Nothing like a fresh spring morning is there? Sounds like you are going to have a busy day today. I didn't sleep well last night and just woke up upset. I was thinking my favorite time of year is coming and I don't know how I am going to do anything, like weed, fix Baltimore Oriol and H ummingbird food constantly, plant and fertilize flowers . Can't have hubby take on anymore as he can't keep up with what he does now. Spring he will have mowing and weed whipping. I remember last May asking my eye doctor if I could bend over to weed yet, seems like everything has gone down hill since than.
JOANN, be good and stay laying down so your foot heals faster.
PRISSY, sounds like you had so much fun last night. Love all those different types of food. What was your favorites?
BETTY, you have such a good outlook on life, I hope so much you have many more enjoyable trips to look forward to.
SHARON, breakfast was wonderful, you are so good to us.

- I love the tablescape! I have been working on last minute reception things. We made 150 suckers out of candy melts. They're shaped like roses and double hearts which we wrote M and J on. I'll have to post a pic. Now I am working on a montage for the ceremony.
Good morning everyone!

Frankie, I hear you about chicken ruts
seems all I eat, but I have a wonderful idea for sweet potatoes for you
I make a container of this sprinkle to have on hand
1 tbsp brown sugar
1/2 tsp chili powder
1 tsp sea salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
slice sweet potatoes 1/2' thick, drizzle with a bit of olive oil on cookie sheet and sprinkle both sides with spice.
Bake at 400 approx 15 min turning half way.
Delicious
In case anyone is interested

Good Morning!
We just returned from Sunday School and will have lunch and then leave for the opera this afternoon. I need to be there at 1:30 and Skip is going to this performance! I just read him the synopsis, which is somewhat complicated like most operas are!
Today is a rainy day. I have not heard any forecasts for a while so did not know rain was expected. It is not cold, however; just a mild, rainy day!
We did enjoy the Denim & Diamonds and all the food!
Pepe,
I don't think I had a favorite. The samples were not huge but very filling! I hope you have a good day today!
Sharon,
I did not think of that! The programmable thermostat will most likely have to be "wired" in!
Frankie,
It sounds like you are having a great time with Kaitlyn. We do not have any flowers blooming yet, but I see the green stems and leaves "shooting" up!
Glory,
Your outdoor furniture sounds lovely. I looked online at Walmart and did see some dark wicker furniture with red cushions. Is the rug red stripe that you are getting?
I cannot open Photobucket so no tablescape in this post!

GLORY, I may be stepping out of bounds again like I usually do, but since you mentioned it, think your girls are being selfish and self centered again about you buying what you want and need. I bet they wouldn't have said anything if the money was spent on them. I guess they are thinking don't spend the inheritance on you as they might want something. What a shame, buy and enjoy what you want, like I said you deserve it!!

I checked with Photobucket again and I was able to get in!
This tablescape has a huge birdcage with birds and flowers and garlands of fruit on it. It has an oriental feel to it. It's kind of busy, but interesting!

Good Afternoon Everyone,
I haven't done anything other then dozing, watching television and eating today. I haven't had a bath since 4a.m. Friday before my surgery. I did change into different p.j.s.! My hair hasn't been washed or combed since Friday morning too! I would scare off anybody stopping by, that's for sure!
Frankie:--- I think I might have found a new way to work on our abs! Walk with crutches. I "flinch" my stomach every step and boy, is my stomach muscles sore today! I've been getting a good workout with the biceps and triceps too!
As Prissy said, it's rainy and overcast. I have on my winter robe too. I guess I'll have to wash my hair and take a sponge bath tomorrow morning if I do go to my weight management class. They might not let me in the door looking like I do now!
The bathroom is looking so good. Our neighbor, Kent is installing the vanity and my cousin Randy is almost through with the crown molding and cabinets. I'll post a photo in a few days when everything is back in order.
Sammy slept on my bed all night long last night. I don't want my foot under heavy covers, so I turned the electric blanket on high, slept on top of the covers with a coverlet and was as snug as a bug in a rug. Sammy didn't move a muscle until 6:15 this morning.
He did become another little "piglet" this afternoon running in the flowerbeds with his friend behind us. He was a mud ball.

Good Evening!
We are back from the opera performance! 3 hours!
We came home to let the dogs out and may go out to eat a little later. I don't know. Now that I'm home, I'm not sure I want to go out again. It has stopped raining, but it could start again.
JoAnn,
It sounds like the bathroom is really coming along.
Glory,
If you've had your heart checked, there may not be anything to worry about, but this could be something new?? It wouldn't hurt to check with your doctor.
Frankie,
I will set out my Easter things just after St. Patrick's day. I believe Easter is the first Sunday in April so it will be here soon!
Sasha,
Pepe mentioned to me the lady chef on the FOOD NETWORK who does the tablescapes. I need to check on when her show airs!
Hot pink tablecloth and gerber daisies with yellow tulips and flowers. Pale green placemats with whimsical figures.

A quick post just to say Hello - it has been another beautiful day here, but the rain is starting, and is supposed to continue thru Thursday
We had a good, fast shopping trip - went to SAMS, Michaels, and Pet Smart, and we still got home in just over three hours! I bought 2 new fish!
We are having a light supper (broccoli soup, turkey sandwiches) and getting ready to watch the Oscars. I love Steve Martin, and we have actually gone to see several of the nominated movies this year!
Sasha - I know you are excited waiting for your new baby to be born - hope you get the kitten you want, and I hope Chole loves him or her.
Prissy - beautiful tables - I found the ribbon I wanted to refresh my ceramic bunnies, but I found nothing else. I am going to Hobby Lobby soon - the stores here are not open on Sunday. The Chef you are looking for on the Food Channel is Sandra Lee - the show where she shows the tablescapes is "Semi-Homemade Cooking". It comes on here on Tuesdays at 1:00 p.m.
Prissy and Betty - I found something really good today, and it is Chocolate!!!
I have been seeing commercials for Yoplait lite yogurt "Delites" They are a combination of lite yogurt and diet pudding. I just had a raspberry/chocolate combination, and it was so good - only 100 calories (the same as light yogurt).
Pepe - I wish so much that you could work in your yard and feed all of your animals. I hate that you are not feeling well.
Glory - I have to second what Pepe said. I always begged my Mom to spend money on herself - she worked so hard to give us everything she could. You deserve anything you want, and you should not be made to feel guilty.
JoAnn - Lewis still has his crutches from when his foot was broken - he had to get extra long ones. I can try walking with them for exercise, but I would have to try it in very high heels so that they would fit under my arms.
Sharon - I am trying that recipe soon. I have to get some more sweet potatoes - all the ones I have are already baked! (I bake an iron skillet full every week, then warm them up one at a time in the microwave whenever I want one).
Meesa - In one week you will be married - I'm wishing for every happiness for you.
The Oscars are on - see 'ya later!

Hi everyone - Just thought I'd drop in and then decided to stay and read all these interesting posts.
Frankie - I'm definitely going to try that sweet potato recipe. Sounds delicious. I can't believe they only take 15 minutes to bake. Also, those Yoplait delights are truly delicious. I just bought some and they are really good.
Hi Shirley and Sharon - good to see you hear.
Prissy - It's so good to see your pictures and hear about what you and skip are up to.
Hi Glory - I often wonder if it is a curse or a blessing to be near family. I guess it's great to have them around but I guess I'd like them to know that I don't criticize them so I don't want them to criticize what I do either. We are all too old for that.
Sasha - So good to hear from you , as usual. Love your posts.
Betty, JoAnn and Meese - a great big hello to all of you.
Meesa - Have a wonderful wedding!!!!
