Every day with Clay...here's news...and 're-news' (recycled Clay articles worthy of another read...) for today's reading pleasure:

Follow on to Clay's concerns about Wake County's school board:

Wake board to discuss Burns' perceived insubordination

WAKE COUNTY (WTVD) -- Tuesday the Wake County School Board will address Superintendent Del Burns' perceived insubordination.

The superintendent in a surprise announcement last week said he's resigning in June. Burns said he's not comfortable implementing changes the new board wants to make.

The meeting will be all about when Burns should leave the school system. But a petition going around calling school board members bullies, suggests they should be the ones out of a job. ...

Fountaindawg over at the CH authored this...it's fun...

Quote
Hair
(The non-nudity version. Sorry peeps.)

They ask me why...I'm a hair-changing guy
Might change ’tween noon and night;
Sometimes it’s a fright.
I'm hairy high and low,
(Don't ask me to … I won‘t show!!!)
Just have a changing head
It‘s only ‘bald‘ I dread; darling

I’ll give you a head with hair, ‘Lord of the Manor’ hair
Or shining, gleaming, blondly Spammy-flaxen!
Can grow it down to there, hair!
Shoulder length … not longer (hair!)
Here ladies, there baby, Yes Parker-yanks-it-daddy hair

CHORUS:
Hair! (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Flow it, Dry-blow it;
My fansites always comment on hair!

It can’t fly in the breeze or get caught in the trees
Ain’t no home to the fleas in Jukebox hair
It‘s different every day, a thousand different ways
The fans have said a million words
For the beauty, the WTH?, They wonder ‘bout my

Hair! (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Don’t snip it, Don’t Ebay it;
My fans? They always yap about hair!

I’ll wear it long, bowled, ‘All Is Well’ sleek-y
Or perhaps just Snowflake shaggy
Casual or Idol spikey. Gleaming, shining, sweaty clingy.
Paparazzi spotted;
‘Library guy’ moody thudded
Tyra’d, or On My Way Here’d
With Parker it’s more tangled and spaghettied!

O-oh, Say can you see my eyes … if you can,
It ain‘t Idol Five!
Down to here, down to there,
(You don’t need binocs for ‘there‘!
So stop it right now!)
doo doo doo doo doot-doot doo doo doot

They were ga-ga at the Gala
But by PBS … change … voila!
The spotlight‘s on my <insert colour & style> beautiful hair
JN’06 like Jesus wore it?
Hallelujah (Still don’t know it!)
Just a trim! Jamie’ll soon be done!
Why don't the fans all trust her with my

Hair??? (hair, hair, hair, hair, hair, hair)
Flow it, Dry-blow it;
My fans still obsess on it. My Hair!

Clay is mentioned in this article...excerpts...

Facebook Profiles 'Real'; So Are Risks

(Feb. 22) -- In the grand carnival that is the Internet, Facebook and MySpace profiles are commonly understood to be fun-house mirrors -- exaggerating and distorting a person's features for effect. But the results of a new study suggest that social networks may actually provide a much more accurate reflection of people's personalities than previously thought.

Surveying some 236 students ages 17 to 22, psychologists in the United States and Germany discovered that, contrary to the "widely held assumption" that people use virtual identities to paint a rosier picture of themselves, more tended to use them as "an efficient medium for expressing and communicating real personality, which may help explain their popularity."...

...2. Impostors
More insidious is the practice of an impostor assuming the identities of real-life people on social networks. The media is increasingly full of stories of ordinary people logging online to discover that they have a Facebook or MySpace profile that bears their name, personal information and photos but that has been created entirely without their knowledge or consent.

Even celebrities and notables have fallen victim to online impersonators: "American Idol" favorite Clay Aiken, for example, took to his own blog last year to denounce the activities of a Facebook impostor....

Clay Aiken says his upcoming speech about gay rights will be 'hopeful'

THE NEWS & OBSERVER, RALEIGH, N.C. | BY MATT EHLERS | Tue, Feb 23, 9:36 PM

RALEIGH, N.C. -- Clay Aiken will take the stage at the convention center Saturday night to do something he has never done before: deliver a speech about gay rights.

But don't expect him to pound his fist and scream for the right to get married.

"There are people who are loud and make noise, and there are people who are deliberate and slow and steady," Aiken said during an interview this week at a downtown Raleigh, N.C., coffee shop. "Right now, at this point in my life, I feel like a slow and steady person." ...
