What part of NO CELL PHONES do these people not understand?     Some times he must think he's talking to a bunch of 3-year-olds. 

I've seen a lot of "Claymates" who act like 3-year-olds.

BETTY, I agree that GWENN  has set the bar for how the fans should behave at this concert.  However,  many of the fans continue to believe they can behave however they please even to the detriment of Clay's reputation .

Well, I hope that, if anyone is foolish or brazen enough to act like a jackass at this concert, the take will be stopped and they will be immediately escorted out of the theatre.

Hmmm, I'd like to think that if such a distruption to the taping would occur, that would send a loud message to the entire audience and hopefully to the entire Clay fandom.  I know that in my early days of fandom I was loud and disruptive at times  , and I can't begin to tell you how embarassed and sorry I am for all of that nonsense.

Thanks so much, SUNNY.    This bug has really knocked both Phil and me for a loop.  So much to do but so little strength or energy with which to get it done.  I'm just grateful that this is just a flu bug and not something worse.

Thanks, BETTY.     No,  the Dr. didn't seem to think that was it, although he did put me on a preventive antibiotic.

Oh BETTY, I hope she doesn't change her mind again, but it seems she's pretty commited to the idea finally.  We will probably be emptying her apartment and moving her into the new facility in July.  I am keeping my fingers crossed that she will continue to cooperate.

                   

Did you decide about Raleigh yet?????

I'm definite at this point that I can't make it.  I can't afford to get sick again, which is what seems to happen to me every time I step on a plane.  Plus I have to get my mother over here to help out with the decision on which Assisted Living facility she will be living in.  Plus we have some not-to-fun family business down in Jacksonville FL in March, so I'd better save my strength for that.

I'll be looking for all of you when the PBS Special is aired!

P.S.  If any of you need a Marriott room for March 11 and 12, please let me know.  I can arrange to have the room transferred to your name and your credit card.  If I don't hear from anybody within the next few days, I'll go ahead and cancel my reservation.  Sigh.

Sunny, I would love to  see that happen.  Maybe then these OTT fans would realize this is about Clay and his career and not about us.   It would be a real shame for fans to cost Clay some career opportunities because the fans can't behave--and, unfortunately, we do have that reputation.

I don't think any of the OTT idiots can actually damage his career. This is a taping, and tape can always be stopped and started again. What ticks me off is the people who think, like Gwenn said, that he means "everyone but me." I just don't understand those folks.

I hope you get your mother settled in a nice assisted-living place close to you.  I know it will  be a relief and a comfort because you will be closer to her.

SEE, IN THE OLD DAYS, CLAY WAS A POP STAR.  PEOPLE GO NUTS AT POP CONCERTS AND ARE SUPPOSED TO.  BUT HE IS ENTERING A DIFFERENT PHASE OF HIS CAREER.  HE WANTS US TO ACT LIKE LADIES.  NOT KIDS.  I THINK WE CAN ALL TAKE HIS LEAD AT THIS EVENT.  MAYBE HE WILL WANT US TO BE UP ON OUR FEET AND DANCE ALONG WITH THE MUSIC FOR SOME SONGS.  MAYBE  HE WILL WANT US TO BE QUIET.  BUT HE SURE AS HELL DOESN'T WANT ANYONE SCREAMING OUT----I LOVE YOU, CLAY.  HE DOESN'T WANT ANYONE WEARING A TIARA OR A HULA SKIRT.  BAD ENOUGH AT A CONCERT BUT NOT FOR TV THAT WILL BE PRIMETIME AND, MOST LIKELY, INTERNATIONAL.  MANY PBS SHOWS ARE SHOWN ALL OVER THE WORLD.

Have you all read any of PinkArmchairs posts at the OFC. ?

She evidently has some connection to PBS taping or has in the past,and she gave some very good suggestions...

She said some tapings last a long time,and that the room has a tendency to be rather cool,and to be sure and wear something warm(suggested layering),and she also said no cameras . cellphones, and recording devices would be tolerated, or out you go.
I loved Clays answer about the cell phones. He has been very patient in the last few days to try & help us and has answered a lot of questions. I think he has about tried to cover everything..well maybe with the exception of ...can we get up to go to the bathroom?
*Remind me to make note to myself to drink no liquids after 5:00.(or maybe not all day Fri)
