I will definitely NOT be doing ANY shoveling!  I'm still in PT for my back, so there's NO way I'll jeopardize the progress I've made so far.  There are even times when I can actually feel my toes!  (Here goes the toe reference again...yikes!)

Morning ladies,

Yep, Sharon, I have been up and working for a while now. Gotta grab it when I find it. Finally needed a break so decided to check in and see what's going on.

Just make sure those toesen do not get frozen. We got about 4 inches - better than expected. It is just going to be bitterly cold the next few days. Sure glad I do not live in the Dakotas (52 below).

Gotta get back to work - stay warm and safe ladies.

PS:  Marilyn, the PJ party sounds fun - I vote no show, just fun (maybe some games) with the girls.

Later!

Holder of Clay's Pepper Shaker

« Reply #1886 on: January 08, 2010, 06:13:05 AM »

Good morning Ladies. It sure looks pretty out there. But I hate the snow and the cold weather that goes along with it.
Becky, I have Macular Degeneration, wet on the right, dry on the left, and since the wet is caused from bleeding, the Dr telling me I can go off Plavix was really good news.
Now that I am able to have the surgeries on my back, I am having second thoughts. I am scared, don't know why. I have never been afraid to have surgery, but it is a dangerous surgery, especially the one on my neck and the recovery is rough. I will have them done, just a little worried.
Brenda, having our surgeries together would be fun, but the laughing would be really painful.
I think I will make the chilli today. I made the pizza last night.
Gonna go jump in the shower, see if I can get these old joints moving a little less painfully. A shower usually does help. BBL

Wish I could get by with just one hour of shoveling, Sharon!
I was out there almost 2 hours and only did two stripes down the driveway, but I did shovel the top "landing" area really well, the walk around to the back of the house, and the walk to the front door. (had multiple tire tracks that has smashed down the snow, making it icy, hard to get off) It's snowing again so no way am I gonna finish  between the "stripes," just to have to get out there again!  Justin was supposed to help me...he showed up with his coat on as I was walking in. Laughing  Typical teen, has happened to me before with the older boys.  Justin is now gonna vacuum my whole house for me instead! ROFLMAO

I'm mentioning snow blowers to Dave, too, but so far he doesn't think Ohio gets enough snow to warrant buying one, Beth.  Sounds like YOUR Dave before he relented!! Wink   Is yours easy to use?  It's gas powered, right?

Filling Every Empty Space With Clay

« Reply #1898 on: January 08, 2010, 11:47:11 AM »

Yipers!  Maybe we can get the topic back to feet/toes! bigsmile

Love the puzzle pictures.  When I was growing up (right after the dinosaurs left), we always had a puzzle in progress on a card table in the living room.  I would quickly do the "edges" because those were the easiest to find . . . . . then I walked away and let someone with more patience finish it!! Wink  Wow - some of you are really fast on some difficult looking puzzles.

Times Square . . . . I guess all of us who landed there at any time have strong memories.  Geez, I felt a special closeness with the Nekkid Cowboy, but he hasn't ever even phoned me.  MEN!

The sun is shining today.  We had a snow storm yesterday.  The wind chill is WICKED! It is supposed to be very cold all weekend. Be careful shoveling, my friends.  Stay warm!  cold

KAREN, Justin owes you I sure hope he is vacuuming your whole  house.  I raised five teens so I know how when yard work or snow removal is there the teenagers disappear or play like they don't hear you call their name.  I wonder if you left the snow removal for your  hubby he would either get Justin on the ball or you would have a snow blower.  I am sure if you had a snow blower Justin wouldn't mind doing the snow removal.  Men love anything with a motor.  Our is good size and is heavy I know especially if the snow is icy it will get clogged  up.  Oh I have hot chocolate for you and some frozen chocolate chip cookies on the table.
