Kim  - You Mom could be right. Take care.

Shirley - Matt - like so many other people has always had a weight problem, but just like so many others, he will lose 30 lbs. and then gain back that and more. He also should be exercising more and just doesn't have the time. I told him, to make a real effort to exercise at least a half hour a day, but, as you said , he has to do it for himself.

Morning ladies,

I wish you good sales today, Sharon.

Kim, have you seen a doctor?  Get thee there posthaste, please. If you have, call about the swelling.

Evelyn,  Huggles

Back to work. I did a few lines yesterday but my stamina ran out rather quickly. Gonna try it again.

Later,

B

Tried getting on the site this morning and got the white page telling me it was not available.  Have had trouble two mornings in a row.  I don't know if it is my area or dialup problems as the afternoon I haven't had any problems.

I am just now eating breakfast that SHARON fixed and didn't get here in time to wish her a good sales day.

SHARON, did I hear you say you were cooking for two dietitians?  You are brave, that would scare me to death!

BRENDA, so good to see you here.  Hope you are staying in the house and keeping nice and warm.  I thought I would be able to go to the grocery store today but not to be so poor hubby had to go again by him self.  It is hard to try and even get dressed as I have to hold myself up with one arm.  Can't seem to do anything that requires using both arms.  Doesn't look like this spinal fracture is ever going to go away.

EVELYN, it is so hard to talk about weight to a person.  We care about their health not their looks.  Diabetes, heart attacks and high blood pressure.  Of course all this can happen to a skinny person to.

KIM, I second the motion, you need to go to a doctor and maybe just maybe he can help you.

KIM, thank goodness you found help.  I am so happy you are out of pain.

SHARON, we had a few snow flurries here off and on with high winds out of the north.  Supposed to go down into the 20's tonight.  Hate to think what it is going to be like when winter really gets here. What will Chef Sharon be cooking for her company tonight???

MARILYN, hope all is well at your house.  I am so impressed with you.  I think it is super that you go to the gym with hubby in the evening to work out.  Are you fixing Thanksgiving dinner and have your son and family over?  Have to start drawing pictures of turkeys with Dylan!!

Filling Every Empty Space With Clay

« Reply #1733 on: November 05, 2009, 03:00:41 PM »

I thought our Claymaniac site was having a problem from early last evening until now.  Paranoid   I could read posts, but I couldn't "reply".  Also . . .  I couldn't get to my PM's. ?????   WELL . . . Some updates were added to my laptop and then it shut down (no surprise) . . . but I was a "guest" on Claymaniacs because I wasn't logged in.  GEEEZ -  I absolutely NEVER log out.  Soooo . . . .  I don't remember everything I want to say  . . . but here are a few things I wanted to mention!!

BRENDA -  Yes! Clapping Clapping   Congratulations to Julie (and to her Mom) for all the hard work.  It paid off.  She will be an excellent addition to the School Board.  NOW, Ms. B. - take it easy so that your body has a chance to get stronger! Huggles

EVELYN -  Oh, I felt so very sad when you mentioned that Matt didn't win in the election for the Council.  Cyber hugs to Matt and to HIS MOTHER!  I understand how you worry about him.  It's a fact -  no matter the age of our offspring - when they hurt, we hurt.   Huggles

MARY - So sorry that you are having more trouble with your eyes.  I hope that the treatments (even tho' so painful) will make things better.  Please give us updates whenever you can. Huggles

SHIRLEY -  Sounds like you've been having some computer problems getting on the thread in the morning.  Wish I could help you, but I had myself all goofed up. Smile  Do you go to the doctor tomorrow . . .or did I have the wrong day? Huggles

SHARON -  Did you enjoy TII as much the 2nd time???  SNOW -  that's a sassy 4 letter word.  Naughty  Anything special for supper tonight??   Smile

MARILYN - You are a good patient.  You really try to make sure you are eating right  . . and exercising. Clapping  Hope the dietician that you'll be meeting with soon will have lots of options for you.  Congrats on the weight loss! Clapping

KIMMIE -  YAY, glad you found a guy that made you feel good!    Many Physical Therapists do a great job.  Does that mean you will be going back to work?? Paranoid  I love some of the stories you tell about your feisty boss.  bigsmile

CAROLYN - Hope the job is going well and that we soon get an update from you regarding potential toe surgery.  I miss hearing about your hubby and kids.  Huggles

BETHIE - I loved the line about your washer and dryer being "eye level" for you.  BUT - when I think of you . . . good things come in small packages.   Wink

PEGGY - Hope you are still feeling good.  Speaking for myself (and I am sure I speak for all), we enjoy hearing from you whenever you have a moment.  Huggles

BECKY - How is the influenza situation doing in your family.  Are the kids still in separate rooms, etc.??  Now I'm confused again . .  are you back home? At least for part of the time.  Huggles

KAREN -  Did you find someone to go to TII with??  If I lived closer, I would definitely go with you!  Huggles

ANN - With all the time you spend on the road and working . . . glad you had a chance to drop in.  We love hearing from you. Travel safe and try to find some time to pamper YOU.  Huggles

BOZENA - Loved seeing a post from you.

CINDY - Have you recently been on vacation??  Seems I read that it a post a couple of weeks ago.  Sounds like "travel" still is part of your world.  Smile  Puh-leeeze - Drop in anytime.  We love hearing from you! Huggles

CHRISIE DOODLE -  Miss you!  Know how busy you are . . . but looking forward to an update regarding your family and your job.  You guys also used to go to some neat parties.  bigsmile   Soon? Huggles

OK -  Hugs to ALL RTM PEEPS.  I'm going to do a load of laundry and add some veggies to the beef roast in the oven.

See . . . . a novelette. hypnotic

Shirley, I'm doing a pork loin roast with a paprika rub that I'm used to making and serving, pan fried asparagus with fresh shaved parmesan on top and grilled vegetables~~~green and red peppers, fresh mushrooms, zucchini and okra with a light garlic drizzle. Do you have Ace Bakery bread in the US?? it's decadent I have a loaf for dinner.  For dessert I went to our local fantastic italian bakery goody place and got three individual french lemon tarts Thud! they are about 3-4 " in diameter and have a wonderful fall decoration on top Clapping

Mary, so sorry you have to go through the shots again. It's not fair that you have so many things going wrong, like Shirley.
I am praying for you.

Becky, thanks for keeping us up with elections results last night.  Huggles

Evelyn, so glad you and Bozena have made plans for Christmas together!

Speaking of the election, Ohio voters passed the bill to allow casinos in Ohio in 4 major cities.  sad  I don't mind people gambling; it's their money, as long as they are not addicted and ruin their lives.  But I just think it won't do what the voters think it will in terms of jobs for Ohioans, taxes being paid to the State, etc.

Karen, perfectly said to Mary and to Shirley!!!   Clapping   And to Evelyn and Bozena. They will have a wonderful holiday together. Hopefully, Mary and Shirley will be able to have a pain-free holiday.  bigsmile

Brenda told me where to look for election results.  Clapping  I was wide awake and anxious to know.  blush

Your thoughts on the casino are probably correct. Our local casino has just closed one of its buildings with slots and bingo and one of their restaurants. Our neighbor works there and he said they have cut many jobs.

KIM, thank goodness you found help.  I am so happy you are out of pain.

MARILYN, hope all is well at your house.  I am so impressed with you.  I think it is super that you go to the gym with hubby in the evening to work out.  Are you fixing Thanksgiving dinner and have your son and family over?  Have to start drawing pictures of turkeys with Dylan!!

 [color]

Marilyn, I didn't see where you get Craig to the gym, too. That would NEVER happen in this house.  lmao  Remember, you trace around your thumb and fingers to start drawing the turkey.  Wink

Kim, who would have guessed??? Glad you finally got relief. What are you drawing now?

Evelyn, all three of my kids have had weight problems at one time or another. They got those genes from my mom. They try and try, but it always seems to come back. At least none are diabetic yet.

Brenda, hope you're taking it easy and enjoying the results of all your hard work.  Huggles You're in my prayers.

Sharon, did you say you're making dinner for two dieticians tonight? After working all day? You are one brave woman.     bigsmile

OOH...........I see a new novelette below from Barb!!!

Wow, I must have been r e a l slow typing. Three of you got in there.  Laughing

Barb, I am home until Monday unless I get a SOS call from the kids. So far, the baby and Riley are not showing signs of the flu. And I'm not going to Dad's until a few days have gone by without us getting it. Don't need to give it to him. Thanks for asking.

Finally took my car into the dealership today. It's been making funny noises since early September, just before the warranty was up. Couldn't get it in for obvious reasons. There really is something wrong with it..........$3,000 worth of something wrong.    They're going to try to get it fixed under warranty for me.  Clapping I am now driving a 2000 Buick with only a cassette player in it.  lmao  That's fine, except my favorite singer never made casettes.  Wink
