Brenda - My prayers are certainly with you.

Matt ran for council in Wintersville and he lost so I'm really feeling bad for him.

Bozena - No "we shall see" a definite "yes" you are coming up. What would I do without you on Christmas?  Let me know how Thanksgiving goes for you.ad

Am watching DWTS, but feel so sorry about Matt losing.   Will talk to you all later.

Evelyn, I am not Catholic, but the program sounds beautiful for any Christian service.   Clapping

Was Matt running for City Council? Was this his first try? Tell him the first try is the hardest.  Huggles

I am home for now. If my DIL gets sick, I will be back down there because she can't take care of herself and three kids, no matter how many of them are sick, too. Bart has Thursday and Friday off, and he's still sick but working. Thankfully, there's no sign of Riley or Peyton getting the flu yet. Our doctor told Jim and I Thursday that we shouldn't have to worry about us getting it because we're too old.  Paranoid

JULIE WON - 3 seats open so top three win. This is a big defeat for Pam Haynam - she has been on the board for 18 years and was always the top vote getter (we are happy she lost, in particular). Dave and John are both incumbents. Julie did great. She just got a phone call from one of the other board members congratulating her. WHOOPEE - can't hardly believe this.  Not too shabby for people who didn't know what they were doing - flying by the seat of our pants with virtually no help. Basically just Julie, Dan, me and another of Julie's friends throughout much of the campaign.

Sorry, Evelyn, can't help being happy about Julie. I am sorry Matt didn't win. You didn't even tell us he was running for anything. We would have put some good vibrations out there for him. Tell him not to give up. I know we learned a LOT from this campaign and I'm sure he did too. Next time will be better.

Becky, thanks for the updates - you were better than the TV. What do you mean you're too old to get the flu? None of my doctors told me that and I'm older than you. Glad the girls are not sick - what is the incubation period; did they tell you?

Waiting for Julie to call me back - her friend from the TV station called - am hoping they have finally called it (they should as all the precincts are finally in). Julie's phone is ringing off the hook. Am soooo happy! Now, I can go to sleep (maybe).

WHOOPEEEEEEEEEE!

Holder of Clay's Pepper Shaker

« Reply #1697 on: November 04, 2009, 04:53:47 AM »

Brenda, Purple Banana Purple Banana Purple Banana Purple Banana congrats to Julie. That is one very special lady you have there. I would say that you all did one heck of a job, seat of your pants or not. Maybe now you can truly get some rest.
I really do not like to ask for prayers for myself but this time I am really worried. When I went to see my retina specialist last week the tests showed the leaking in my right eye has gotten much worse. It had been so much better after the shots, but something happened, don't know what, but the sight is really bad now. Everything I look at looks wave, like rick tack. Horizontally and vertically. I have to start the shots again tomorrow and I hate them. I have a bad reaction to the iodine, and she has to use it, the pain afterward is just about unbearable. I take prescription cough medicine when I get home and that will usually knock me out for 12 hours or so. Please pray that these shots work for a longer period of time. I can deal with a lot but blindness scares me to death.
