I had a bedmate last night.  Justin got tired of Jamal waking him up all night so I said I would try letting him sleep with me.  He's good for about 4 hours, that's it!!  hypnotic Laughing  He's such a lively little thing!  He's keeping me company at the computer right now, and just had to yell at him for chewing halfway thru my speaker wire!! Naughty hypnotic  Now I gotta worry he'll chew thru a more dangerous wire!! Paranoid Paranoid[/color]

Karen! You tell Justin he is too big to sleep with momma and spank him when he chews on the wires! Naughty Naughty

See? See what happens when I try to READ before I've had enough coffee? lmao lmao

Uh, I may not let Justin read over my shoulder for this one!   Laugh
Guess I could've worded a little differently!! Laughing
Glad you've now had your coffee, Kimmie!!

Ah ha, Karen, I see you posted and explained the dual concept. I really like my idea - do you think we could invent and patent it - switching back and forth, I mean.  Why would slide in mean you would have to tile underneath your cabinets etc. I have a gas stovetop and don't need tile everywhere.

I've not had one before, and only used my sisters gas stovetop when I was out there last January, so I don't know how it works yet!
Is your gas stovetop on an island, or on the regular counter?  You just really need something behind that area I guess.  What is behind yours?  With wallpaper, I just feel like even tho it's "wipe-able" stuff, I feel like there should be something more flame retardent behind it.  What is behind yours on the wall?

Sharon, a dual-fuel range has a gas stovetop, but an electric oven.  Supposedly, chefs prefer the gas stovetop because you can control the cooking temperature, but the electric oven heats more evenly.  We get True convection with this range, too!  Which is a fan with a heating element surrounding it, supposed to cook food a bit faster. Clapping Clapping

Karen, sounds like you need a license to operate the new stove ROFLMAO

Hi everyone.  Just got back from taking a walk and realized I hadn't stopped in today.
Karen - Dick and I have talked about getting a new stove (desperately need one).  We both want the dual-fuel range with a gas stovetop, and a electric oven.  I would have to do some major remolding though.  My stove now is built in and the dual-fuel wouldn't fit.

PEGGY , did you make that card I got today from you?  I think you did as you would never be able to buy such a card with all that work on it.  It is just fabulous.  I am impressed Miss Peggy!  Gosh we should get you and Kim your own studios!!!!!

Can't tell you again how much I have enjoyed the cards you all have sent.  Thank you ever so much!!!!!!!!

Shirley - Glad you liked it.   Huggles

Just a quick hello and a fast goodbye. Going to help Matt at the shop for a few hours, cause they were pretty busy yesterday. There's a festival in toronto and also it is alumni weekend.  So - we shall see. Hope it's busy tonight. We are closed tomorrow and Matt and I plan to spend the day totally away. Probably to a casino. Talk to you all later.

EVELYN, so glad you and Matt are taking off tomorrow.  Go and enjoy yourself and have a nice dinner out!!  Wish I had a appetite I would do the same.

PEGGY you are so talented!!  I can't get over that card and the patience it took to make it.  Glad  you got your walk in, it has been a pretty day  up here in Tawas.  A lot going on this long weekend so many activities and of course I have missed all of them all summer.  Didn't feel good yesterday and slept on and off again and today started throwing up again this morning, I am so disgusted don't know what to do.  All I know is my hospital stay didn't fix me!!!!

SHARON, hope you got some rest in today.   You need to force yourself to just relax a little, it is hard I know.

KAREN, it sounds like there is a making of a book at  your  house, with the cats, hubby and your son!!! Than you could sell the book for money to take care of the cats!!!!!!!!!!!    Purple Banana  Did the kittens find the litter box okay?   I am surprised that mamacat doesn't cry at your door with the kittens being inside.  Although maybe she is ready for them to leave.

Shirley...what Evelyn said! Huggles

so get this...

I've been wanting to see Inglorious Basterds. Thought I'd go with Joey cuz he loves the German stuff. So I called and asked Joey but dad says NO. It's HIS day.(But he's just sittin there bitchin at the kid all day!) I said well why don't we all go then? Paranoid

He flipped out. Called me a c*nt , and ranted on for quite awhile I guess.

ooookayyy.
 scratch

So then a little later Joey sends me a message...they are going to see it themselves but dad is making him drive out of town to a different theater because he doesn't want me to show up! lmao lmao

Paraniod much?

And now dad is REEEALLY bitchin cuz they just left the movie and dad HATED it. (Of course)
And it's all my fault that (he thought) the movie sucked!
Yep. I planned it ALL...me & Brad Pitt. ROFLMAO

KIM, I think I would haul Joey's dad's ass to court to keep him away from Joey.  Doesn't sound like his dad is such a great influence on him.  By the way how did you like the movie?

I'm up! Happy Labor Day!

KIM, I think I would haul Joey's dad's ass to court to keep him away from Joey.  Doesn't sound like his dad is such a great influence on him.  By the way how did you like the movie?

Shirley... Huggles I didn't go to the movie. Just Joey & dad went.
And goin to court wouldn't help. Joey'll be 18 next month. He's been old enough to do what he wants for awhile. Joey CHOOSES to deal with dad cuz Joey's a sweet kid. Doesn't want to hurt dad's feelings. (Dad now "cries" anytime Joey leaves for a night or 2) Paranoid

I just have to remind myself that...just like alzheimer's...his dad can't really help how he is at this point.(Although it IS his fault he got to this!) His brain is misfiring. It's hard to deal with but i'm TRYIN not to make it worse for Joey by flippin out on dad. Wouldn't do any good anyway...dad is in another world and just doesn't get it.

I can't wait for Joey to go to college! Hopefully, somewhere out of state! Isn't that an odd thing for a mom to say? But it would be better for Joey...then dad can't be mad that Joey "left him" (since it's COLLEGE) and can't demand Joey come drive him around or fetch things or come home & sit with him while he wails on about his horrible life. (Misery LOOOOOVES company)
I think San Francisco would be good! Purple Banana Lotsa family there...and I could visit alot!

Happy Lazy Labor Day! How come we celebrate working by taking the day off?  Paranoid  Laughing

Well, as many of you know, it's our last day off summer.  Diana starts Kindergarten and Nathan starts 3rd Grade.  I can't believe that my babies are growing up so fast.

Kimmy, I hope that for yours and Joey's sake that he does go to school out of state.  My best friend that lives in IL lived at home with her parents when she went to U of M Dearborn.  Her mother did NOT drive.  My friend had to arrange her school and work schedules around her mother's work schedule so that she could drive her mom to work and pick her mom up when her mom's shift was over.  I was so upset when she got married and moved to IL, but once she left, she could no longer be her mother's taxi.  It then became the responsibility of her married sister  Naughty ROFLMAO.  Hope everything works out for you and Joey!  Huggles
