SHARON, I bet you are tired.  What you have been doing for the past two days is emotionally and physcially exhausting.  I think it is perfect that you are going to the exercise club tonight, will help you unwind a bit.  Now don't overdo don't want  you to hurt to bad in the morning but can't wait to hear all about it in the morning!!!!!  Super Happy!!!

After 2 1/2 hours at the eye doctors he said my eye pressure was up most likely from the high steriods I am taking and gave me eye drops to counteract that and said the wrinkles were still on the retina but it will take up to six months for all the healing to see if the wrinkles will even out a little.  I have 40% of my eye sight back it was 35% three weeks ago so it is improving just slowly. He is hoping for at least 60 to  70% eyesight return.  Than headed over to the hospital for my lung xray, won't get the results till next week as they are sending it somewhere else to be read.  Than hubby took me to McDonalds which is right across from the hospital, for lunch.  They have a new hamburger out.  A black angus that I have with mushrooms and swiss cheese.  It is huge but I love them.  Has to have a million calories in it.  And of course had to have the fries and pop to make it complete.  Oh I am so bad but it was so good.  Off to take a shower and try and relax a bit, I am abit overtired as I also went by the grocery store for some things.  Hubby got mad at me as I try and do to much than I get into trouble, but that is me, I keep pushing.

Mmmmmmm, that burger sounds YUMMY, Shirley!!   Your hubby likes to spoil you after these grueling doctor visits, what a Sweetie!!  Glad to hear there is some improvement in your eye, even tho it's minor.  Slowly but Shirley.  I mean "surely."   Laughing  Of COURSE you gotta have the fries and Coke; at least you didn't have the milkshake with it!! Naughty Laughing  Just eat light for supper now, Shirley, and the calories won't matter!

Sure hope the x-ray turns out to show your lungs are improving!  Does your breathing feel better lately?  Are you sleeping better?

Sharon, since you are meeting someone for class, you'll be less likely to back out! Laughing  Have fun tonight; what a fun way to get some exercise!!!

Hello RTM'ers! Huggles

Gosh....life has been crazy.  Mom just left on Tuesday.  We had a great two weeks!  She flew all the way down here from NY and then we ended up driving 7 hours up to West Virginia and hit the casino! Laughing  Neither of us won but we sure had a great time together!

The 4th of July party was a blast!  Everyone had a GREAT time!  It really was a wonderful party...I was so busy that when I finally appeared outside to eat everyone started clapping! ROFLMAO  I just stayed in the kitchen preparing foods and downing the strawberry daquiries!   As usual we made WAY too much food! Laughing

Some more exciting news....Danielle and her boyfriend got engaged on Tuesday!  He was going to wait until this weekend when they went to the ocean but B.J. wanted my mom to be here so she could see the ring before she went back home.  He asked Rob first, showed him the ring and told him he wanted to be part of our family.  The ring is beautiful!  They are planning an August 2011 wedding after Dani finishes school.  Why do I feel like I just aged another 10 years???? shrug

Other than that...I'm getting ready to head to Mexico on Sunday.  It sure has been a busy few weeks.  I look forward to getting back and hopefully relaxing for a few weekends! Laughing

I hope everyone is doing well here. Huggles  I thought things were going to calm down for me so I could stop by more often but they seemed to have gotten even crazier lately! crazy  Hopefully soon! (and NOT Clay's soon!)  I miss you all like crazy and think often about actually relaxing and getting to stop by here when you are all actually awake!

Big Hug!

Morning ladies,

Cindy, what wonderful news - all of it, but especially Dani being engaged. I am thrilled for her and you. Sounds like a great addition to your family. Have fun in Mexico - this is a work trip though, isn't it?

Sharon, wish I had the energy and the lung power to do zumba - it does look like fun. You go, girl! Hope the sad and heartwrenching 'chores' are done - I know that is hard.

Shirley, happy to hear there is improvement - that means hope for more. That new burger at McD's sounds luscious. We had angus burgers at Julie's last night.

Yesterday was Emily's swimming championships - didn't turn out too well. She thought she the dings for "false start" and stopped swimming - cost her big time unfortunately. She was neck and neck at that point with the leader. She was so upset - distraught was more the word, and we simply could not soothe her. Sad.

Had her first softball tournament game Monday night too - guess I have been MIA for longer than I thought. They lost that - really bad coaching - unreal - so their season is over. Not a good week for sports around here. Oh well.

Wouldn't you know it - we had the game on Monday and my scooter came on Tuesday - figures. It is kind of neat and I can get it in and out of my trunk fairly easily. Cristien loves it - that's al he wanted to do when we got back from swimming yesterday. Em and Caity rode with him and he actually drove it himself. I left it at their house last night so the girls could ride it around today if they want - the batteries need to be run down and recharged three or four times before it will function to its capacity, so they're helping me out.

Meesa, hope your sister is feeling better by now.

Evelyn, that dessert sounds good - I might even try that one.

Didn't work at all yesterday and Cristien and Chris are already gone, so it would be a good thing for me to get some work done today. Off I go. Hope you all have a terrific day!

BRENDA, HORRAY you got your scooter.  I am so happy  you got it, I am sure you will be glad a thousand times over that you went ahead and got it.  Sorry about the girls and the disappointments they had.

Well since we didn't have breakfast I thought I would fix lunch.  I just made a platter of sandwiches and put them on the table. I made tuna salad sandwiches,  thinly sliced ham/lettuce/tomato/cheese rolled in a tortilla and sliced into pinwheels and a variety of pickles/olives/peppers surrounding them.   A variety of white cheddar, swiss, colby cheeses cut into little squares with a variety of crackers.  A dish of warm from the oven sugar cookies, chocolate chip cookies and oatmeal raisin cookies for dessert.  Don't eat so much you won't have room for dinner tonight.   I have dinner cooking already.  Stuffed sweet red peppers, potatoes all cut up and in water to boil later for mashed potatoes and some good looking corn on the cob and hard warm rolls to fix later.   I know BRENDA if you eat all this lunch you will want to take a nap and not get any work done.  KAREN, yep I put a stash of chocolate chip cookies in the freezer for you.

EVELYN,  what book are you reading?  I haven't finished one yet, still hard for me to read and concentrate.

 wave

Cindy, sounds like great times have been happening at your new home. Seems like yesterday you were talking about moving.

Shirley, I'm okay. Been at my parents' for a couple of days and need to go back. It's the time of the year for paperwork, etc. to get done there. Yesterday, Mom asked me to call a doctor for her. I did and they said they had just talked with her. She got the doctors confused. There are way too many of them. Decisions have to be made, but they don't want to deal with it. Understandabley. (Is that a word?)

Tomorrow I'm spending the day with my granddaughters (not Peyton) while their parents go visit DIL's dad in the hospital. We're going to go to my daughter and SIL's house to see their gardens and their fish pond, etc. Haven't made it there yet this year. Soon they'll be able to sell tickets to see all their work.  Wink Cathy has had some options open up for a new job. One lucky thing; her COBRA won't take all her unemployment $$$ because the government is subsidizing the COBRA payments. H-m-m. Everywhere you look these days, the government is taking care of something in our everyday lives, isn't it? No wonder it's going broke. Good or bad. Pretty soon it will be China taking care of us.

Sharon, your ZUMBA sounds like fun. It would kill this old lady.  Paranoid

Now my post is jumping. SCan't see it. Which reminds me of Brenda.  bigsmile  SO glad you got a scooter!!!!! Your can now save your energy for more important things than just walking. Like playing with your grandkids.

Hope this post is readable.  Got to take care of my own paper work bnefore I take on my parents'.....

SHARON, glad you enjoyed some lunch.  So glad you had fun at the exercise class, that will be a good outing for you.  What do you put in  your potato salad.  One time last summer I made potato salad and went out in the garden and picked a fresh cucumber.  I sliced it real thin and added it to the potato salad and couldn't get over how good it tasted.  There is nothing like a cucumber picked fresh off the vine, to bad I won't have any this year as they like warm weather day and night and they sure aren't getting warm here.  It is down to 59 degrees right now and hubby just lit a fire as he said it is cold.  Raining cats and dogs here.

BECKY,   you remind me of Willie Nelson and his song "On The Road Again"!! Smile  You got to be wore out, wished I could kidnap you and bring you home with me for about three days.  I wouldn't tell anyone where you were!!!!!!!!!!   Laughing  How are you feeling?

Got to get ready for TIger baseball.  Starts at 6:30 they play in the new  Yankee stadium tonight.  And  Tiger Woods, isn't doing that well  at the British Open hope he makes the cut for tomorrow.  .  That is the sports report!!!!!!   Super Happy!!!

Well, now it's done raining and I'm taking everything downstairs again to try for outside Laughing hey who needs a fitness class, I'm doing the stairs all afternoon

SHARON -  Hope the rain clouds hold off until you and Cosy's Angels have your bbq outside.  The menu sounds delicious.

SHIRLEY -  Good for you . . . you did some cooking this morning . . . . so I dropped in for lunch.    Actually had to take it "to go" because I'm working today.  I know it is "slow going" with your sight, but I'm so happy that it keeps improving.  It will be good when you can enjoy lots of reading once more.  Enjoy the ball game tonight! Huggles

EVELYN - I saw that the large angel food cakes are on special at our store this week . . . so I'm going to buy one and make that angel dessert you posted.  I will let you know if everyone likes it!    I have 2 cans of Wilderness Cherry Pie Filling at home . . . so my dessert will be cherry angel dessert.

BRENDA - Sorry your girls didn't end their sports season on a high note.  BUT - they both do so many things so very well.  You have a right to be proud.  Hugs to little Cristien, too! YAY for the skooter.  Sound like its a hit with your grandkids.  bigsmile

BECKY - Sounds like you and Brenda have the same issues with your computers wiggling when you try to post.  That must be very annoying.   Hope you enjoy your time with your grandkids.  I can feel your frustration with some of the responsibilities with your parents.  Hope you are getting some time to golf, too!  Huggles

CINDY - So glad to see your green letters and such an uplifting post.  Your life sounds very fast-paced (like normal).  Congrats to Dani.  What a lucky guy.   When he marries Dani . . . he will also get a great set of "in-laws"!  Stay in touch with us!  Huggles

BETH - Time flies so quickly when kids are young (and always, I guess).  What grades will they be in next year?? Did Diana go full days to school this past year or will she be a "full-timer" this fall?? It is fun hearing about them.  Huggles

Anybody see KIM??  I hope one of those huge Florida insects or birds didn't take her.  Paranoid

Well . . . . I will get out of work in about one hour.  I didn't start until 9:30 today.  I don't mind that shift once in awhile.  I "slept in" for a bit.  blush

Later . . . .

Shirley, enjoy the Tigers, I know how much you love your baseball!!!  My potato salad is pretty basic, lots of eggs, green onions and garlic. I also use dry mustard and sweet pickle juice just like my egg salad sammies, Miracle Whip light and I finish by microwaving some margarine and drizzling it through before the last stir~~~ Thud!
What a great post Barbara Ann Huggles I know you love to sleep in

Barb, Nathan is 8 and will be entering the 3rd Grade in the Fall.  Diana is 5 and will be in Kindergarten in the Fall.  She is still half days this year.  She'll go from 12:30-3:30 M-F.
