oh well, no one is going to listen to my opinions
MARILYN,
I
do. The reason I come to this thread every week is that "listening" to everybody's opinions (and adding probably too many of my own
) enhances my enjoyment of AI. Post away, OK?

Oops. Sorry.
Adam's hip thrusts in skivvies........
SUNNY!
Hey now, I'm not the one who keeps mentioning hip thrusts!
Well, SUNNY, that's what they are to me. Can you honestly tell me you haven't noticed them????

Matt does absolutely nothing for me musically or otherwise. JMHO.
I felt that way since the beginning. I always thought he was over-rated.
MARILYN - I find Adam already a star. Having said that, I totally agree that his vast professional experience puts him at a definite advantage . . . even tho' some of the others have had CD's, etc. I think the producers of AI are the only ones who can set limitations and/or guidelines to define who represents "raw talent" vs. professionals. I think the future of AI is at stake.

Why is it that none of these people really hit me in the gut?
Allison- she is up and down for me
Dont like Matt
Anoop is just average
Adam is the showman but his voice is not remarkable. I do like him, but he does not ring my chimes
Danny is okay but not spectacular
I am jaded
Or spoiled

Danny Gokey
-
Endless Love - Lionel Richie & Diana Ross - movie: Endless Love
Not bad but some parts seemed forced.
***To save time the judges are alternating and only two will critique a performance at a time.***
Paula -
from the opening of the performance I wasn't sure that the key should have been lowered; your magic is in the timbre of your voice; somethingsomething; beautiful
Simon -
disappointed that we had a very traditional version of the song, a bit bored; having said that I think this song means a lot to you personally and it was hard to do so I congratulate you for that

Marilyn -- I agree very much with your opinion but I think AI stopped being a show for young, undiscovered talent a few years back.

Actually, I didn't. I know he dances; I've seen some of his vids on the 'net. But this time, I was watching him work the stage, as well as how he sang.

Well-stated, WISC BARB! I wonder if they'll finally get back to their "roots" next year. This year with Adam dominating the show it's obvious that experience and lots of stage/recording experience have given him a huge advantage. But he wouldn't have gotten all that experience if he weren't a phenomenally talented performer, so if he's the best why not let him be catapulted into superstardom via American Idol?

I guess he bought some contact lenses to go with that new guitar.
The scruff-look was interesting, too.

I really like Chris and I want him to do well. To me he is the performer whose CD I'd most likely buy in a year.

Kris Allen
-
Falling Slowly - Glen Hansard & Marketa Irglova - movie: Once
very nice
***To save time the judges are alternating and only two will critique a performance at a time.***
Randy -
for me for you I don't know; never quite caught on for me yet I love that song; for me it was pitchy from note one for me
Kara -
difficult to choose an obscure song that not everyone will know but for me it was one of your best moments

Thanks for reminding us, MICHELLE.
Otherwise, I wouldn't have appreciated their attempts to "save time".

I guess the judges are feeling bad about dissing Lil so much lately. They're probably worried she'll get voted off and they'll be left with only one female contestant. To make it up to her they gave her the primo (technically ultima) spot tonight.
