There are times in a person's career that become obvious benchmark events.  Some of these events are built up to be career-changing, but some just happen.  Most people believe that March 17, 2004 was a defining moment in the career of Clay Aiken.

Season 3 of American Idol was in full swing.  The final group of 12 contestants had performed on the first elimination show one night before.  Each singer had tried to impress America by singing a song for "Soul Night."

SINGING SENSATION
Scott Kessler M.D tends to the vocal cords of some of music's biggest voices.


As doctor's office walls of fame go Scott Kessler's are a doozy. While most high profile physicians have an autographed head shot here and there, visitors to this ear, nose and throat guru's New York digs can barely spy an inch of paint. So eager are his famous patient-crooners including Madonna, Mariah Carey, Micheal Bolton, Bon Jovi, Anita Baker, Barry Manilow and a slew of Metropolitan Opera stars-to share the love via framed platlinum albums, inscribed plaques and autographed compact discs that Kessler has to rotate the stash to keep everyone happy.
Kessler counts at least one Idol spawn-Clay Aiken-as a patient and at times he has ministered to the entire Broadway casts of such shows as Wicked and Hairspray.
