JAYNE,  congrats! anniversary Celebration.  How wonderful!  I love I have been around to see how you have changed your life around.  Oh the memories of the path you have traveled and how brave you were to change the course of  your life.  I am so proud of you  Huggles

What a wonderful party for our friend JOANN.  Now maybe she can start a book.  I know enough that I can tell you she has many, many stories to tell.  She is one of the most interesting people I have ever known and one of the nicest.

Good Morning! Isn't it wonderful that Our Honey was included in the Ford's Theatre Gala this year?  Purple Banana Team Clay sure kept that quiet! There are links and photos in the ANN  (the photo Meesa posted, plus one more of Clay waiting in line to shake the President's hand) - and this Gala is usually shown on TV every 4th of July!  Clapping Clapping Clapping

Happy Anniversary Jayne and Kirk!

Have a wonderful Monday, everybody!

   Frankie,

I read the Anatomy of Gossip. Well worth reading and how true.
We get trashy programmes like the TZ thing at 6.30PM I thought that was childrens time.
I thought there was some sort of law about that.  Some children find a way to watch this

stuff and it"s vulgar and nasty.  What is happening to TV and movies????  What is
happening to us????
                                                   Betty

don"t have to watch it, but kids have a way of finding this sort of thing.

Good Morning!

Skip is planting outside and I am here on the computer.  I did go out and help him lay out the plants in the beds!!

It was fun posting on JoAnn's Retirement "Par-tay" last evening.  I hope some of you can go back and look at the posts and pictures starting on page 96.

I just posted a picture of Sandy and Shadow on the pond bridge in the Pet Thread, if you are interested, and I am "a fixin'" to add some pictures to the Garden Thread soon.

anniversary  HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to Jayne and Kirk.  One year already!!

Is there a link to Clay at the Gala?  I must have missed it.

Skip and I will be getting Jennie about 2 pm and heading for JoAnn's Retirement party at her school.

Everyone have a great day!

Big Hug!

FRANKIE, I thought the FORD GALA was televised but just was not sure when it was.  What a privilege for CLAY to be selected to sing.  Only bad thing it looks like he only sang one song.  I guess I am never satisfied.  Laughing

SASHA, you know I am going to have to keep my camera in the kitchen .  When I see all these animals by the time I go to the computer room and load the batteries there gone.  I told hubby I need to take a picture of all these geese goslings and our one goose that was born here and has come back.  He only has one foot and his parents are still with him and watching over him.  Did you know that Canadian Geese keep their babies around for two  years.  Those baby chipmunks are little and fast.  Ours stores food all summer for the coming winter and than hibernates most of the winter.  As long as yours has plenty of corn or sunflower seed to store thru the summer he will be fine all winter.  I think starvation is their worst enemy in the winter months.

PRISSY, enjoy the retirement party today.  Boy JoAnn is getting used to all these parties I think in another week she will be wanting another one.   Laughing

Happy Monday everyone! Big Hug!
Jo Ann! I'm sorry I missed your retirement party! Huggles It sure looked like a lot of fun, those pictures! (Meesa! Thud! )
Enjoy your retirement Jo Ann! Huggles
Prissy, Jo Ann's Retirement Luncheon sounded lovely, thanks for sharing! Huggles I just posted in your and Pepe's and Frankie's Birthday threads BTW. Late I know, but still filled with love! Huggles
Hi Frankie! Huggles The tales of Tuffy continue! Laughing He must be quite a handful, killing snakes now, but still sounds like the sweetest thing! bigsmile
Try to focus on the positive, the end result of your remodeling, and how beautiful your home will be, we haven't done much remodeling in my home, but there's been plenty of disasters, and the only way we got through repairs, was by thinking, in a few days, or however long the disasters lasted, that everything would be over and back to normal. Huggles
I'd love to see pictures too like Lolita. Clapping
And my tickets did come last Thursday!
Hi Meesa! Huggles
KellyLaughing I am going to visit Blue Springs next month so I'll share pics.  Smile
That's awesome! Clapping Please do!
Tiffany! I hope you're having a great time! Can't wait to see you back and posting again! Huggles
Hi Lolita, I forgot to mention Smoky was a little Shih tzu, so it was really sad the way my mom's neighbor would leave her outside in the cold all the time, but she definitely had a happy life with my grandmother. Clapping My grandmother had a couple boy dogs at the time, and they would go crazy everytime it was that time of the month for Smoky, so my grandmother had her spayed, and felt so bad for doing so, she put a bunch of flowers in a vase and put it next to her dog bowl while she recovered. bigsmile And her friend said she had big brown eyes like Hedy Lamarr, so she was well loved.
My mom having to steal her not once, but twice was really something, the first time she took her, she thought sure my grandmother would be able to come pick her up, and when she couldn't, Smoky started walking around her apartment, toenails clicking on the floor for her landlord to hear, so she had to put her back, and Smoky looked at her really sadly, but my mom tried again a few days later, and got her! Clapping
I am getting more and more excited about the concert as the days go by too.
Happy Anniversary Jayne! Huggles
Pepe, Happy Belated Birthday! Huggles You can send your cold weather my way, I hate the hot weather, it's going to be close to 80 all week here. Flame
Hi Woody! Huggles I know I was one of the ones who said I'm afraid this new Clay news might affect his career, I certainly hope it doesn't, Clay hasn't done anything wrong, it just seems like some fans have walked away since five years ago, which I don't understand, and I wonder if this could push away a few more, of course if it does they must not be true fans afterall, but some people can be strange like that.
Sasha, Chippy is so cute! What a great picture! We have a little tiny mouse living on our patio, in this patch of dirt, where my mom tried to plant marigolds, and none of then grew, (!) there's this little hole, and one morning, my mom saw our mouse coming out of there! We haven't seen any others, so we hope there's not more down there, chewing on wires or anything, but someone said we should get poison, but we couldn't bare to kill a little baby, so that's her home now! Laughing
A big Hello to everyone else I'm too tired to mention, Big Hug! you're not forgotten!

Hey Everyone. Got back last night from the Virgin Islands. Had a wonderful time with my sister, nephew and my BIL. My nephew wore me out though. Laughing Did a lot of fun things and it was great weather. Got sunburned. Got to go snorkeling and won some money at the casino. Ate a lot of great food.

I wanted to do a quick post this afternoon while I was here and this will be my last for a while. Thought about this long and hard today. I don't want you all to worry. No one hurt my feelings or drove me away or anything like that. I just feel exhausted latety and I'm having some problems with myself so I should watch what I say now and just lurk. My head is spinning with all this crap going around about Clay. I don't think I should do that much posting anymore. Not because of that but I have my reasons. I'll be'll ok and I'll still be here all the time. If anyone wants to talk just PM me or e-mail me. You haven't losted me. Huggles

So ofcourse I leave and something big happens to Clay. It's funny when I went somewhere a few years ago something crazy like this happened too when the swampthing stuff started. sigh Never a dull moment huh. How I read about it was from checking out the AOL Sessions the other day. They had a story to the TMZ site about Clay becoming a daddy and I was like Whoa!!!!!! Jaw drop! I was shocked and couldn't believe what I was reading. I'm like everyone else. I want to wait for the truth to see what Clay and Jamyes say. If it's true the important thing is if this is what Clay wants he has my support and if he's happy then I'll be happy for him. We all know he'll make a wonderful dad. My prayers are out to them both. It is just all surprising and hard to understand. It's really sad that the media thinks this is earth shattering news and sad to hear what people are saying.  It was nice to see from pics from Clay last night in DC that he's moving on to do something else. He sang for the Prez. Wow! He looks happy and that makes me smile today. That can make us all feel better about this. We know he can handle anything. Go Clay for shoving that camera guy in his face from TMZ!!!! Clapping

The AOL Sessions performances were wonderful and Clay looked beyond hot and sexy. Thud! yay and he and Hannah won the Broadway awards. I'm so happy for him. He deserves it.

I just caught up on everything. My prayers and thoughts are with everyone in need. Huggles Just going to post to a few people.

to Frankie and Pepe.

Janye- anniversary to you and Kirk and wish you many more.

Woody-I hope your daughter can find happiness and another man that can treat her the way she deserves to be treated. I'm very sorry this happened. Hope your son has safe trip to London. Hang in there. Huggles

Michelle-My prayers are with my mother and sister.

Boca-Good to see you. Glad everything is going well.

JoAnn- congrats! on your retirement!!!!! Sorry I missed your party. Looked like fun. Enjoy your life now with no work.

Prissy-Glad the lunch for Jo Ann went well and it sounded wonderful for her. Great pics. I watched Lost. What an exciting finale.

Lolita-That's awful those people did that to their dogs. Glad you could do something to try to stop them. Don't feel guilty. Huggles Have fun in Mexico.

Jan-Glad your wrist is better and good to hear your hubby is walking better now.

Meesa-Be safe if you get tornados. Thanks for giving everyone my message the other day.

Lora-It's good to see you. Good luck with all your remodeling.

Shannon-Glad you are feeling better.

Carol, Frankie, Betty, Pepe, Carla, Charlene, Lindsey, Kelly, Sasha, Angela, Jerry and Glory- Huggles to you all.

Forgive me if I missed anyone. Like Carla says, you are never forgotton.

Kat-Enjoy your summer and Yeah for being a senior!!!

I love each and every one of you and care about you all very much. Claymaniacs is still my home and you all are very important in my life. I'm so proud to be a Clay fan and to be here with the most wonderful group of people. See you around and take care. wave

WORDS TO LIVE BY!!!!! do not EVER let anyone talk you into building a house, adding on to one, or remodeling one! Remember if you ever do this - I told you not to!!!!!!! We haven't even started and it is already a mess. We need the windows, doors, and bath tub by next week (don't actually have to have them, but we have to have the specs for the plumber and the carpenter). Can't find what we need anywhere - especially the bath tub. They just don't make them for tall people!

Pepe - the Ford's Theatre Gala is usually (not always, but usually) on TV on the 4th of July.

Tiffany - Welcome Home! We missed you! I know what you mean about stepping back - i am tempted, too, but I would miss everyone too much.  I think a lot of people just need quieter times and more time for themselves - I miss them, but completely understand.  Are those photos form the Gala yesterday? I see Faye walking behind Clay.

Hello to everyone else - have supper cooking - I am starved - only grabbed a cup of yogurt for lunch.

wave  FRANKIE!!! I just wanted to offer my sympathies on your remodeling job. Wink  Phil and I had our kitchen remodeled about 3 yrs ago, and finally completed it just this past month.  It is very stressful and overwhelming at times.  Just keep your eyes on the big prize, though.  It WILL be worth it!
