Sorry, Sharon, about not getting that prayer written. I have been sick for days and am not getting better as quickly as expected. I am going to bed now - I hope I can sleep!

Thea
- I definitely will. Grandma did get sick but I'm hoping it was not the flu. It might be from her pain meds. We'll see how she is in the morning.
I went cosmic bowling with Dylan tonight. My BIL and sister got BIL's mom to watch the two youngest ones (Jonathan is at a Boy Scout campout) and we headed on to the bowling alley. I actually won the last game!
I beat the guys. Hee!
Guess I better get ready for bed. I have church in the morning.

I was kind of tongue-tied, as well, when Clay came to sign my playbill (Phil got the autograph on the poster!). All of my clever little comebacks just flew out the window when I saw him!!!
Thea....I already know I'd be the same way (worse) if I ever stood face-to-face with Clay! If I ever got a M&G...I already know how it'd go. He usually asks your name...to which I'll reply something like..."Mmmnrmpf"
Then he asks where you're from. I certainly won't know the answer to THAT at that time so that is when I'd have to resort to the backup...and just say "Watch this!"...
and bust out my Thriller dance.
Then Jerome should step in and escort me out.
Mmmnrmpf has left the building.

Good morning ladies,
It's a dreary day here in Toledo - pretty good temperatures but the rain and dankness makes it feel a lot colder. I certainly hope Spring is not too far away. Am soooo sick of winter (I know Shirley, Becky, Chrisie, Sharon, and Barb are for sure - as is Thea and everyone else).
Anyway, yesterday I spent the entire day on the sofa just laying around, watching a lot of AI Rewind and falling in love with our Clay all over again. It's nice to live alone - you can scream and yell at the TV without anyone else hearing you and thinking you have lost your mind - and I do! Even though I have had AI2 on DVDs for a long time, I rarely get them out to watch and don't even have the auditions, Hollywood and top 12 eliminations shows (will be putting them on DVD now though). It's hard to believe Clay ever looked that young, isn't it? His glee at what is happening to him is really contagious and heartwarming.
Debi, I'm so sorry to hear that you have to go another chemo round but am so glad the news was not worse. God must have a plan for you and I'm sure he is walking this path with you - and carrying you when you need that. Keep your positive attitude - I'm sure you will! We are always here for you - you know that!
Kim, so glad you liked Bubbles - is there anyone to whom I didn't send it? It is really funny - you have to see it to understand. Let me know and I will send it on.
I sent out another one this morning - "Mrs. Hughes." If you didn't get that one, let me know. She is sooo funny. I think you should do standup, Kim.
Shirley, I didn't spend the day with anyone yesterday but myself as we didn't get Cristien this weekend and so my son didn't come home. The girls were busy (acting, shopping, etc) and I had been with them on Friday evening - we made chocolate truffles and ate waaaaaay too many
. I thoroughly enjoyed doing absolutely nothing yesterday - and I mean nothing but watching TV.
Marilyn got home a day early - I'm sure she will be posting today or tomorrow (don't know if she can see Dylan today or not).
Meesa, hope grandma doesn't really have the flu - that is a miserable thinig to have. Sending her
Sharon, I think of you and Al (and Woody) so often. Your day-to-day reality must be almost unbearable. I wish there were some way we could take some of this heavy burden off your shoulders. Sometimes it's difficult not to get really angry with God for putting us on some of the paths we have to walk. I must say, you walk yours with dignity and love. My heart is with you, dear friend!
Jan, I guess this was a birthday you will not soon forget. How is hubby? Is the surgery over by now? Please keep us informed. I'm sure you can hit that restaurant once hubby recuperates.
I see I missed Mary - but I'm sure she is walking on air knowing she will soon be with her Brandon. I'm sure she and Barb are both having a wonderful time. Anyone heard from Cindy? Is she still on vacation too?
Boy, Chrisie must really be busy - she is hardly ever here anymore (I think I'm here more than her now). I'm sure her job is going well - how could it not - but it will take some time to get the machine oiled and running smoothy. It's not easy being a working mother - been there, done that.
Thea, practice - NO, NO, NO, NO. We love Greek leg of lamb - in fact, I'm going to make it the next time my son comes home for a kind of late Valentine's Day. It's Julie's and Chris' favorite meal. I'm kind of fond of it myself. Do you stuff yours with garlic and make that wonderful crust on it with herbs, etc. - so aromatic and sooo yummy!
We are missing a few people lately = you know who you are. Come home!
to everyone I've missed (Evelyn - not you).
Have a great day!
Brenda

you let me know so often that you care
all of you do, and it helps, there have been some very difficult days lately, many times I wonder how I will get through this, but I have so much love to give these two guys that they will never be short, and that keeps me going. They need love, and compassion and dignity, and I will give til the end.

Happy Birthday Cookie Lady!!!! Posted over at your thread & I see that Shirley made you a
breakfast.
I'm sending well wishes to Debi, Al & Woody, Jan's hubby, Meesa's grandma & Carolyn
Philly - How nice of Mr. Philly. What anniversary was it?
Meesa - What'd you bowl?
I'm startin' to think that Cindy ran away on her vacation - CINDY?! Where are you????
Kim - Great that Clay signed your pic.
If you did break out your Thriller dance, maybe Clay would join you - I'm thinkin' he's learned a LOT about dancin' on Broadway.
Love the commission drawing - Don't tell me that Joey is taking you to more scary movies.
Thea - I'm sure the lamb was fine - I vote for roasted lamb & pig - I think we'll have a luau theme!!!
I made the mistake of thinkin I could drive to church today. Icy rain here. Got stuck on the dirt road for 45 minutes before Matt & his football-playing pal, who spent the night, helped me get out w/ 3 other guys who were stuck further down the road. They said not to stop until I got home & I didn't. It was a mess. I promised Amanda I'd take her to the movies w/ her friend. They have a four-wheel drive, I'm gonna ask her to drive & pick me up
No more gettin' stuck
Time to get a move on. . . .
Becky - How are you????
Spikee - Sending you some

SHARON, oh my gosh how scary. I wished you would have not tried to get out today. Thank goodness you are safe in the house now. Hope WOODY likes the blueberry muffins, I wished I was really there so I could help spoil him. I would love to sit with him and talk about all the birds and wildlife.
BRENDA, what beautiful posts you did to DEBI and SHARON. I have a soft heart but do not have the gift of beautiful words. You have both!!! So glad you had just a nice relaxing Saturday, good for you!!!! We have freezing rain here today. Our driveway is nothing but pure ice and the limbs on the tree are hanging down with ice. Not a nice day at all.
ANN, my gosh girl wished you would not have tried to get out this morning. Getting stuck in the winter is no fun!!! What are you going to see at the movies? I want to see "The Bucket List" I hear it is hillarous.
Just finished cleaning up the dishes so off to read for awhile, nothing else to do. Don't go out if you don't have to.

Ann
- I bowled a 104 for the second game. We didn't get to finish the third one, but I was at a 93 when they made us stop at 1. I got only an 84 on the first one. I hadn't bowled since I took bowling in college so I think I did okay.

Meesa - 104!
Shirley - It is quiet here today.
Saw Definitely-Maybe (I just love a story w/ a happy ending - I laughed & I cried ) They shut the dirt road down. (Why weren't those signs up when I tried it???) I stuck to the main roads & it was fine.
Everyone must be hiberating today.
Stopped at DQ & got a treat
Just waiting for the Rewind.

I'm home and what a fantastic day it was.
My son and daughter had a surprise birthday party for me. I knew we were going to dinner , but I thought it would be only Matt, Debbie and Bryan (my grandson). Well, I walked into this small exclusive lovely restaurant and here is 25 of my oldest friends. Some of the people I used to work with came, and Matt's godparents (whom I haven't seen for 25 years came, too) . I tell you I cried and cried. I just couldn't take it all in. Then after opening these lovely presents, my daughter hands me this bag with all these wonderful cards in it. You girls are too much. I cried again when I saw these cards and gifts from all my RTM sistahs. OH MY GOODNess - Karen - my daughter saw the picture of me on your card with the red shirt on and wanted to know what the letters stood for. Well, you should have heard them laughing. Debbie said she's going to have to get on this site to see what the heck is going on.
Of course, I had to tell everyone the story of the sign on our motel door and they couldn't stop laughing.
Kim - You should have heard to oohs and aahs over the apron and card you sent. ( I"ll have to make you another batch of lady locks for that!!!). They could not get over the creative genius that we have here. Peggy - they loved your card.
Thea -After reading your card, my daughter wanted to know what the heck I did when I went on these trips .
Sharon - They all wanted to know if I really had a red thong. And I said , Of course. Now they all want to come and see the girls with the red thongs.
The meal was outstanding. We had steak, pork and chicken, with mashed potatoes, green beans, buttered homemade noodles, homemade rolls with honey butter, ice cream and cake. Oh and there were appetizers there too but they must have had those while they were waiting for Matt to bring me. Of course, we had wine and then tea and coffee later.
I laughed - cried - and had the most wonderful birthday I've ever had.
Thanks to all those who sent such beautiful gifts and cards. I'll get thank you notes out to all of you. Once again only Claymaniacs are this special and I am so fortunate to be a part of it.
I hope I didn't bore anyone, but I'm so excited I had to tell you all about my day.
