Happy Sunday Everyone,
Wow, two days in a row! The sun must be doing it!
I like this and now I will change my way of thinking: WRINKLES: Something other people have,
similar to my character lines.
AC, you really tell it the way it is and a lot of it is right, although, I do think Britney is a victim of childhood fame and doesn't know how to act like an adult, like a lot of celebrities out there.
Pepe, my daughter never really liked toys that much. She was always into my kitchen drawers. It is just this phase of babyhood when they really can't do anything much to entertain themselves.
Lolita, no, no Clay fans at the wedding; unless there are some on the other side. I thought rice was something that put on weight. I guess it's all in the balance. It sounds like you are on the right track. It takes a lot of motivation or getting mad!
Woody, I hope you feel better.
Meesa, looks like Clay's fans are staying strong in NY.
Carla, nice that you are becoming an aunti again. I love babies.
Ok, off to seize the day.

That's one way to look at it but even before she became a train wreck she displayed characteristics unbecoming of a woman. I thought it fascinating that every sick and vomit inducing activity she would emerge with would be applauded by these strange people who think of her as a role model. I think she and others like her that have a hold on younger people's attention's are dangerous because they, younger people, see 'Britney' carousing around and behaving like a tramp and these younger people, a good portion of them, don't see anything wrong with it and they attempt to mimic it. As you mentioned a lot of celebrities don't know how to act like adults and a big reason for that is because Hollywood agents and "talent" searchers grab anyone who looks hot and puts them in the media spotlight and they're thrust into the spotlight seemingly over-night when they're still kids/immature no matter how hot they look. Yet, the audience eats it up and tosses people aside when they've had their fill...so in that regard it isn't fair...but also, the celebrity's attitude and psyche also play a part and it goes back to the imitating factor where impressionable girls see Britney as a Ms Bad A$$ and want to be like her. That's why i'm more tougher on female celebrities because girls are way more impressionable in my opinion and i don't like seeing trash and sleaze being something girls look up to.

Good Morning! (it may be afternoon by the time I get this posted!) We woke up to thunderstorms and cut the computer off - there goes my plans for working in the yard today. I have leaves raked up all of the yard, and had planned on picking them up and moving them to the composts today.
Linda and Pepe - I would like to see new photos of your grandsons!
Pepe - Lewis never had any hobbies, either - he just loves to work - but since he left Ma Bell, he plays a little golf (something he had not done since college), and of course his "relaxation" is yard work and working with some civic groups - which is work to me!
You would think that since we have a pond in the yard and a camp on the lake that he would fish, but he doesn't. He hunted and fished with his own Dad as a boy, but has no interest in that now. I would like for both of us to go to our local community college and take more computer classes - we've had some, but they have updated the courses lately.
Prissy - glad to hear the wedding went well
Shannon - hope the grass in your yard grows well for you - good job getting it planted - that is a lot of work.
lolita - raking leaves this week has finally helped - I lost a whole pound this week, after no weight loss at all for 2 weeks
That is 19 in all now.
Michelle - I will pray for your Mom
I hope they can find out what is causing her problem.
Boca - i hope you and PapaB come home rich!
Carla - congratulations on the new baby!
AC - young stars today are no different from some of the past - there have always been a few that threw their lives away.
Jayne - glad the party went well!
Monica - nothing going on except that we are all waiting for May 6th!
Meesa - another great photo - hope the games go well today!
Woody - glad you are safely home - hope to see you later - feel better
I'm off to get lunch out of the way - Memphis plays at 1:20 Central................................

Shhh....nobody is suppose to know
that
...shhh...keep that under wraps
Yes, i know there were others from the past just as bad but it's the times that i comment on. If it wasn't so in your face too much it wouldn't strike a bad chord with me but everywhere you look that's all anyone reports about is the latest scandal or some sort of gossip instead of the good someone may do. A part of me feels the people strive on seeing negative stories about celebrities just so they, the audience, can feel good about their own lives or whatever. Instead of reporting good things, everyone focuses on the bad, that the culture itself has turned cynical and in a lot of ways because of that it's looked down on if someone thinks positive because it's referred to being "naive". It's insane and stupid...and so on to more better topics...
Barbeque sandwiches sounds like fun right about now!! Especially since college basketball games start up at 2pm today on CBS. I believe the actual game doesn't start until closer to 2:30, though. I see Frankie made mention of it. She's an hour behind Ohio in the time zone.

I'm spending my day cleaning up my computer. I never realized how out of control I let my files get until I went searching for something ... Geez! This is as bad as organizing my Clack, but definitely not as fun.

Frankie,
Sorry Lewis is having trouble with allergies, they can make you miserable. When you have blood
pressure my doctor said to only take Corriciden medicine, it"s made especially for people with high blood
pressure. The phamacist can help you get the right one I always ask them.

Betty - there you are! I came on to see if you had posted today! Lewis knows that he should not pick just anything up, since he does have high blood pressure - I think he learned a lesson yesterday - I was about to take him to the ER when he started feeling better.
Monica - May 6 is the release date for Clay's new CD!
It is pouring rain here - we've gotten two inches of rain in the last hour - the satellite dish keeps going off - right in the middle of the Memphis game! They are leading at half time, though.

Hello all...
Frankie: Fortunately the only thing good about not having satellite TV anymore is the weather. I'm watching the game...it isn't much of a game, though. The score right now is 50-38...Texas trailing...
I'm heading back to the game...they take so many commercial breaks...more than usual.

CT, I'm impessed you've made it twice! Hope you had a good day.
Carla, congrats!
Kirk, Laura and I went to the beach....only 1 1/2 hours and we're all scorched. Gotta be careful of the Spring sun....it's sooooo potent.
Frankie, I hope your rain stops soon!
Back to reality.

Hullo.
How is everyone?
Shannon
, I've already had a transplant.
It'll be . . . six years this July 24 since I've had my working kidney transplant (had my first when I was 12, which clotted off from a blood clotting disorder my family has, and I had a working transplant when I was 16.
).
Thank you,
Carol
for the prayers.
Boca Mum
, if I'm not on tomorrow,
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
You're such a spiffy, smashing
Boca Mum
.
I hope you have a grand birthday tomorrow, and be able to have some time to relax.
Jerry Skit!!!
, a BBQ sammich is a better topic.
A fine hullo to
everyone I didn't mention
.
You're surely not forgotten.
I saw
Run Fat Boy Run
last night, and I must say, it was pretty good.
A bit predictable, but pretty good.
Anyhoo, must run off.
Love you all so much

FRANKIE, oh my gosh what kind of allergy medicine did Lewis take? I took Pepe and ALLI out three times today and I am much worse as far as congestion in my chest and throat. I am starting to wonder if besides COPD I have allergies that are keeping me sick. We have tons of leaves in the woods all around us and tons in the yard that were under the snow. The snow surprised us way to early and never left to get the leaves cleaned up. Will get a picture sent to you of Preston.
BETTY, how are you feeling?
LINDA, how much does the baby weigh now?
CAROL, What kind of a dog was it that ate your pancakes????
You are a great sport by not letting that upset you.
JEANNE, answered your pm . Yep when I got pneumonia three years ago I never got over it I just got progressively worse.
