Hi . . . I survived!
Here are my first few thoughts. I WILL write a better recap when I can think more clearly.
Quoted from the OCD.
Quote from: Clays Cashew on December 19, 2007, 11:39:57 PM
Oh . . . mah . . . gawd.
His hair is CRAZY blonde right now!
His hand shake was . . . yay.
I looked him right in the eyes when introducing myself.
. . . Oh mah gawd, he kept looking over at me, he kept looking into my eyes, he said "that's very gracious of you" (or something along those lines
) when I let someone else talk, I got him to laugh!
Just . . . Oh mah gawd!
Oh mah gawd. . .. he patted my lower back after our picture.
Oh wow . . . It kind of felt like it lingered just a second after he was done patting.
Maybe it was my imagination, but I don't care.
Has anyone else gotten a pat like that after a pic? Just . . . woo.
Oh . . . just . . . yay.
It was so cute when he signed my cookbook. It looked like he was saving it for last, and he did indeed sign it last. He said right there as he was signing it, "I usually sign, "Use your voice" but I'm going to sign it different", and as he was signing, he was speaking what he was writing, "Use Your Stove, Clay Aiken".
What a goof, really.
He didn't look through the cookbook.
I had a plan to segway into it if he didn't (asking what he thought about fanart of himself was going to be one of my questions), but my questions just kind of . . . disappeared as he came in. I was going to tell him I did the divider pages, and that Jan had done the spectacular etching of him, but, it just didn't happen that way . . . I DID NOT get tongue tied, though, of which I'm very proud.
I'm so glad that I could talk to him a bit without it happening.
You do really get this kind of . . . calm when he walks in. Maybe because he's just . . . I always say that he's just a normal guy, and I think that that just kind of radiates off him, maybe.
It's like chatting with Simon, it's that comfortable.
. . . OH! And Faye was at the Meet and Greet! It was fun to meet her too.
I wrote him a letter as I was waiting for my sister to get done with work (I sat in her office. She's a nurse at a group home
), some of it saying that Claymaniacs is just spiffy.
I really did right spiffy in it, I just had to.
I really hope he likes the drawing I did for him. I drew the scene of him from JNTII of him holding the cookie cutter and . . . Tommy and . . . what's her name? I can't think of it.
But, I put them in the background making cookies.
I didn't get a picture of it, I didn't think before I packed it up.
I'm dying to know if he liked it or not.
(
Meesa
, ask if he liked the drawing at your meet and greet
)
But anyway . . . yeah. I wanna meet him again!
I'll write a better recap when my mind's a bit more clear.
Oh, and the concert was just awesomely spiffy.
I got some really cool pics (one of which will be my avatar
), but I'll have to upload those tomorrow, and what I take at tonight concert as well.
And there you have it. My first thoughts.
xoxo,
Carla
P.S. Sorry my babbling is a bit over zealous.
I couldn't help it . . .
