I was listening to All Is Well from last night, and I really like most of it. But, the belt parts at the end, he just screamed some of those. You can hear his voice breaking at the start of the phrases. It concerned me.
Do we have any singers on this board?

That's right! Sorry, Meesa. I forgot you sing.
Have you heard him pushing his voice too hard in places?

That's okay.
I think he is pushing too hard. The notes are difficult at several parts and it is hard on his voice to do that night after night.

Well, tell him to back off a little, will ya?
If they're tough to do, he should be approaching them more gently--not trying to clobber them.

80 degree Christmas. Not New York I can assure you. Okay, Hawaii. With a frosty 60 degree Christmas. Something about nobody being able to remember the words to something. Sing songs...Silent Night, Rudoph.

Sorry about the bad weather, MEESA! On the bright side, you'll have even MORE TIME to burn DVD's!
Clay's voice ~ Right from the beginning, people have seemed concerned or surprised that he ends the concert with TWO songs that he "belts" and reaches for the big notes. He does these two after he has already sung for at least an hour. It almost seems like he is "challenging" himself.
BUT - I'm not a singer or sort of a nurse . . . . so my observations are kind of just that . . observations of a "concerned fan".
