Turkey, dressing, acorn squash for him, cranberry relish for me, and I have to come up with a tasty no-fat dessert. It's gonna be a late dinner.
Tasty no-fat dessert = Angel food cake - cut into 2 layers. Mix fat free cool whip with strawberries (I use frozen strawberries...they're juicier). Use the cool whip mixture as frosting for the cake...fill in between the layers too, then cover the whole thing with the cool whip/strawberry mixture.
SOOOOOOOOOOOOO yummy!!!!

I'm dragging my feet here. Need to get busy! But soooo much to do. When this happens I often feel overwhelmed and do nothing. I have to sit down and make myself a schedule for the day, to sort it all out and make myself feel better! Usually I get behind tho, because I don't allow enough time for mopping, or cleaning bathrooms, etc.etc. Pitiful, huh.
That is me, too.
One of the reasons may be that it just took 2 hours 17 minutes to catch up with all of you. And it was worth every minute!!!
And here I am, too,
Becky!
I got around 2 things on my list done. Then I trashed the list, I was so off schedule!!!
Can't seem to stay off the computer; afraid I'll get too far behind, or miss some fun!!
Well, off I go again.....my 24-year old and 21-year old sons are on their way here; gotta go wash sheets and figure out something for dinner!!!

Jeanne!
Love the pics!! I wanna go baaaaaaaack............
The outdoor cafe's just look so relaxing . a place you can leave your cares and savour the moment ~~~~
sigh
That pic that Thea liked of me in Venice, looking like I was savoring the moment? That was me, thinking "how the h*ll am I gonna find my way back to the hotel in all these wind-y Venice alleys???? "
Believe me when I say that there is a good bit of stress attached to traveling overseas!!! But, soooo worth it!!!

KIM, I have to tell you I loved that picture of the cat and dog pilgrim!!! How funny and how cute!!! emailed it to my son to see!
SHARON, be careful driving if it is not safe stay home!!! We are under snow warnings all night till tomorrow afternoon. It does seem funny you working tomorrow while it is a holiday here.
BECKY, I fixed that dessert last summer. It was wonderful . A really great summer dessert too.
KAREN, how is the cooking coming? It must be hard to cook with so many different diets. I think you should just have a glass of wine and throw the list away.
Have been watching a movie with hubby and this one I did sit and watch. It was the latest Bruce Willis DieHard movies. All those special effects kept me glued to my seat. Now I am headed to the shower and read for awhile.
HAVE A WONDERFUL THANKSGIVING EVERYONE!

Hi Peeps!
I have LOVED reading the Thanksgiving menus!
KAREN - I'll run out of time before I run out of items on "the list"!
And you??
No more turkey pinching. The poor fella is almost thawed. I've got to distance myself from him . .like I better not "name" him or nothin' .
MENU
Turkey with dressing
Mashed potatoes and gravy
White and wheat rolls
Cranberry sauce, pickles, olives
Cole slaw
Fruit salad
Deviled Eggs (don't ask)
corn
Broccoli/Cauliflower/Cheese/Rice dish
Pumpkin Pie and Sour Cream Apple Pie
Cookies
Alka-Seltzer !
SHARON - Thank you for being so gracious to those of us who are celebrating Thanksgiving. Safe travels to you!
ALL RTM PEEPS - Celebrate your big day with love. I am very thankful that all of you have become part of my life.

I see I missed everyone tonight. I hope everyone is off getting rested up for tomorrow's busy schedule. Even our Canadian friends have a busy day I'm sure. Just reading about Sharon's driving in bad weather tomorrow has me
Drive carefully.
I have been reading everyones menu's and my mouth has been
watering
.
Everyone has such delicious dinners planned.
I can't wait for the kid's to come over so we can have dinner.
Of course I will have the little one here too. That alone makes my day.
Our menu is:
Turkey
Ham
Cornbread Stuffing
Mashed Potatoes & Gravy
Sweet Potatoes with Apple Chunks
Green Beans
Carrots
Squash
Rutabaga
Cranberry Jelly
Cranberry Relish
Rolls
Pumpkin Pie (Jamie is making) with Whipped Cream
Jamie just called me. She said that they could be getting 2 to 6 inches of snow tomorrow!!!
I know that when I wake up tomorrow, it is supposed to be white outside.
I am hoping that most of the snow tomorrow will be north of both Jamie and us.
I always worry when the loved ones are out on the roads and the weather is not the best.
Oh, I don't know if anyone remembers or not, but Happy Hubby is my cook. He will be slaving over the stove tomorrow not me.
I'll just be the go-fer.
