Here is Lynn/wordsmith1223's review of the St. Louis concert which was printed in her paper:

CONCERT REVIEW
Clay Aiken's Fox holiday concert a comfort and joy

By LYNN VENHAUS
Managing Editor

With a full orchestra and his two longtime back-up singers, Clay Aiken
brought his big voice and a touch of elegance for a holiday concert at
 the
Fox Theatre last Tuesday. It was both a comfort and a joy.
St. Louis is among 20 stops on his ³Christmas in the Heartland² tour,
 the
first time his Christmas music-themed showıs been here, as well as his
 first
performance since March 2004, when he was on a double bill with Kelly
Clarkson at the Savvis Center.
Since ³American Idol² made him the most famous runner-up and a
 household
name during the second season in 2003, Aikenıs released two
 platinum-selling
albums as well as the popular ³Merry Christmas With Love² CD.
Along the way, heıs transformed from a geeky college student with
 career
plans to be a special education teacher into a polished professional
 artist.
His makeover, however, doesnıt mask his true colors -- a singer with
 an
amazing voice and aw-shucks likability.
Dressed formally in a black suit and black shirt, Clay took the stage
solemnly, singing Christmas hymns and one of his signature songs, the
beautiful ballad ³Mary Did You Know.²
Joined by silky smooth Quiana Parler and Angela Fisher, who have been
 his
back-up singers since his first tour four years ago, Clay presented
 favorite
music of the season.
One of the eveningıs highlights was an opportunity for four women from
 the
audience to share their Christmas stories. They were personally
 selected
from his Fan Club contest, and rehearsed reading at a stage microphone
 from
a black binder that afternoon.
While a few brought a warm response from the audience,  others brought
 tears
to everyoneıs eyes.
Clay ended his set with ³Donıt Save It All For Christmas Day,² a
 song first
recorded by Celine Dion, but one that has become a staple in his
 repertoire.
His passionate version wowed the crowd, prompting a standing ovation.
Throughout the evening, he demonstrated that heıs grown as a
 performer, yet
his voice is still in fine form -- holding powerful Œgloryı notes for
 an
unbelievable count, down to the final encore of this classy concert.
His delivery was heartfelt and sincere, with glimpses of his down-home
 charm
in between. He didnıt spend too much time chatting or joking with the
audience like he does during his summer state fair stops, opting to
 showcase
the audienceıs true-life tales.
Clayıs never looked like a typical pop star, but that doesnıt stop a
 devoted
fan base from turning out to support him, no matter how many jokes
 others
make.
His loyal fans warmly welcomed his season greetings on only the second
 night
of his holiday tour, a tradition he referred to as ³My Christmas card
 to
you.²
The supportive audience of mostly women included actress Phyllis Smith,
 a
St. Louis native who plays ³Phyllis² on ³The Office.² She was
 enjoying the
concert with her mom from the third row.
Clay has big plans for next year. In 2008, he will appear on Broadway
 for a
brief run in ³Spamalot² as Sir Robin. And record another album.
He obviously has made the right career moves to have staying power.
 That boy
sure can sing, no doubt about it.
