Clay Aiken Brought Cool to Hot Summer Nights

Clay Aiken's recent summer concert tour was hardly the biggest, most lavish, spectacular concert showcase to hit the road this summer. Clay's concerts have always been less about flash and dazzle and looking cool and more of a reflection of the man himself. That is to say, they have been unique, entertaining, fun-filled, surprising, powerfully artistic, and uncompromisingly professional while intimate, honest and genuine. Clay brings something to the stage that is his own special effect. He has formed an emotional bond with a loyal audience of fans and draws in first-time spectators, winning them over as well. He finds ways to include everyone in the act, which seems only appropriate for an avid promoter of the ideal of inclusion. He seems as comfortable on stage as he would be in a classroom, his teaching skills mixed with his improvisational skills and stage experience provide him the tools he needs to control an exuberant crowd while interacting with them and promoting participation. Clay is obviously a people person who knows how to charm, titillate, chide, and tickle a crowd. And the man can sing!

McDonald's Anyone?

I was flipping TV channels earlier and the Travel Channel was showing a program McDonalds....y'all know why I stopped. *g* I thought it was interesting and didn't realize how much they vary from place to place.
There is a man whose hobby is visiting as many McDonalds as he can to find anything unique. So far he's visited almost 12,000.

Aiken is at a crossroad in his career. He released a pop album in 2003, a Christmas album in 2004, and a covers album in 2006. He's toured nine times and he appears on countless TV shows. He's definitely a TV personality and as an entertainer he's garnering an excellent reputation as a live act who can sell tickets and put butts in the seat. So, what's next?
