Neil was just talking aobut his Tribute tomorrow night - he mentioned only 4 of the many people who will be singing his songs (really only mentioned 3 - because the Captain and Tenille count as one act), and one of the people he mentioned was Clay!

The only other Fan Club I ever belonged to was the one for Captain and Tennille back in the late 70's.
I can remember listening to their album on my grandmother's big stereo console that was the size of some small apartments I also played their songs on the jukebox while my parents and grandparents played cards in the afternoon at the local bar owned by their friend. Those were the days!
I'm pretty sure if Clay had been around back then I would have been playing his selection on the jukebox over and over and over until I got yelled at to pick a different song.

I think they sang "Laughter In the Rain", too - made a lot of money for Neil Sedaka, as has Clay - laugh at the Captain & Tinelle if you want - I wish Clay had their records sales! (And I really wish the Sedaka tribute was going to be on TV).

I also wish the Sedaka tribute was televised. I think it would be a great show to watch and for the NJU to watch as well. However, I do know that there will be lots of Clayfans there in support of OMC. CV has 25 people going and the CB probably has just as many (I didn't want to go through all 13 pages!). I'm sure there will be several in attendance from the CH too. If we don't get any clack, I'll be very surprised.
ETA: Per this
CBSNEWS.COM
story, they will be featuring Neil Sedaka on the
CBS Sunday Morning show this Sunday
. Maybe they will show footage from the tribute.

I hope they act appropriately and remember that the event is about Neil Sedaka, and not Clay Aiken.

Sunny that's my biggest fear about Spamalot! That Clay fans will treat it the same way they do Christmas concerts!

I'm chewing my nails on that one, too! I really hope Clay isn't embarrassed by "some of us".

Oh god, I hope not. If people show up every night and make fools of themselves, it could influence opinions about him.
I'm just gonna hope people will know how to conduct themselves.

Dont worry, folks- I am sure that the Spamalot crew have heard of Clays "rabid fans"- that may be one of the reasons that they hired him- because they know he brings at least 3000 people with him.
would that be "heard of fans" or
"herd of fans"----sometimes it seems like the latter.
I cant believe that a week from Monday I will be in Vegas. I have never ever been there- can anyone tell me which sight are a "must see"? Besides CLAY of course.
I miss that little devil. and I love his blog-that-reads-like-a-novel.
Those long fingers must be flying..............er, over the keyboard, that is.
I wonder how he manages on a laptop keyboard. My fingers arent as long as his, and I sure am uncomfortable with the mini keyboard.
SUNNY!!! Well, at last I am on the same time as someone else. Its been lonely. I need a Clay infusion to perk me up.
Are we going to have a Sedakacert tomorrow?
