One more post to you before i head off...
Prissy...i've been to the Hall of Fame's web-site and looked through it by way of pictures....just looking at the pictures gives me goosebumps...i'd be a blithering idiot if i were there in person and i'd probably be so excited i'd pass out from the experience. That's how bad i have it for country music memorabilia and nostalgia...anyway...here's one of the plaques you will see...the plaques are all in one room hung on a circular wall. The room is called "Will The Circle Be Unbroken", named after a classic country song...this is Roger Miller's plaque...he was inducted in 1995...
They have display cases, as well, of items of clothing or other artifacts that family members of Hall of Fame members have donated. All of Roger Miller's GRAMMY awards are on display. Since they added the "museum" aspect to the Hall of Fame, i can accurately say that the Country Music Hall of Fame is to country music what the Smithsonian Institution is to the TV industry. I hope i'm not spoiling things...here's just one of the displays at the Hall of Fame...this will wet your appetite...it does mine...
The Hee-Haw exhibit at the Hall of Fame...
Okay...i'm really heading off...if i fall asleep, which i doubt, i'll be back later...it's risen a degree...it's 96 now...
