HOW WOULD YOU ENVISION A TALK SHOW FOR CLAY?  WHAT WOULD BE THE FORMAT?  WOULD HE SING EVERYDAY OR JUST ONCE IN A WHILE?  WHAT KINDS OF SUBJECTS WOULD HE TACKLE?  WOULD HE BE CONTRIVERSIAL?

GWENN

Well, if I recall um, my GRANDMOTHER told me about Perry Como- he had some sort of Variety show. There was another singer/talk show host that did the same- I don't think it was Merv Griffin, but someone like him and PC
Clay could open the show with a song. Then a short monologue- not necessarily jokes- but about what is going on in the world and his take on it. Then he could speak to someone from the entertainment world, someone from politics, someone from the real world that had done something special or outstanding, someone from the health care world. In between, he could sing a song that he had written himself and wanted to introduce to the world. He would also speak about UNICEF, BAF, and the Presidential committee- There would be a section on a book he had read that he liked, which he would discuss with the audience. There would be a question and answer period- where he could interact with the audience.
He would finish with another song- maybe a cover, maybe not.

He would be controversial because he is the KING. BUT I think he could speak of his views also.

He should only do this once a week, and take the summer off for touring.

What do you think?

GWENN

Thats him!! Mike Douglas

Well, it could be an hour.If he picks 3 people and does 10 minutes with each- the songs only last about 3 minutes or so- Monologue a couple of minutes. He could alternate what field his guests come from. 1 minute commercials only at each break- high profile like Pepsi (or is it coke?) Mc Donalds, Krispy Kremes,  then he could do the Dockers one himself. And he could have the props of each on the table, becoss he sure does like 'em all!

ETA- Lets make it a two hour show- then he could do all of the above. And it would be in prime time-Friday night would be good!
Its a good plan, no? Think he will hire me?

The only trainer I can see Clay hiring would be someone to teach Durham to behave. Laughing
