Critical Mass 17 :: Clay Discussion (aka Is It Summer Yet?)
«
on:
January 09, 2007, 12:24:21 PM »
Welcome to Critical Mass number 17. This thread is for general discussion of
Clay's
music, his career, the media, and other
Clay
related topics. Or, occasional mindless drivel, as long as it is mostly about
Claaaay!
To that end, please make an effort to include
Clay
content in your posts. News, articles, links to pictures, thoughts, opinions or anything that encourages conversation is welcome.
Antagonistic or adversarial comments are not allowed. The idea is to encourage conversation, not kill it. State your opinion then move on; if you don't, recognize that there is a point at which time you will appear to be intentionally disrupting the tone of the forum, and you will be called on it. Please also note that you are free to scroll through posts which do not interest you.
An opinion that differs from your own is not a personal attack on you. A negative opinion is not a personal attack on Clay.
This is a linear style thread, in that several topics may be discussed in this single thread, sometimes all at once. This is not a social thread, and personal discussion should be kept to a minimum. All rules and guidelines referenced in the Forum Info section apply here. This is an all ages thread, so please insure content is appropriate.
In order to keep the tone conversational, please don't post pictures in this thread, post the links instead.
All previous threads will be archived in the Archives - Critical Mass forum. Thanks and have fun!
Where did we leave off....
Clay blogged last night! The Christmas tour was fun! His UNICEF PSAs are being aired on CNN! He's happy! We may have a tour in a few months!
All really is well.
And things can only go UP from here. IMHO.
Just gettin ready here.
Carry on!

I have been thinking about "Clay 2006" and our Roundtable discussion. Clay really did have a good year.
If you could pick just
ONE
remarkable event for Clay in 2007, what would it be????

AS PER THE LAST THREAD.
GLORY--I THOUGHT THE SAME THING. WHAT ABOUT THOSE OF US WHO HAVE PASSED THAT STAGE OF LIFE.
KIMMIE--
I DO THINK MANY OF "US" ARE NOT HAPPY UNLESS THEY ARE WORRYING. ANGSTING.

Frankly, I don't speculate much these days cuz to be honest....I don't know what the hell I am talking about when it comes to Clay Aiken. And, dats the truth. Amen!
ONE OF THE THINGS I WOULD LLLLLOOOOOOOVVVVVVEEEEEEEE TO KNOW IS JUST WHAT EXACTLY MR. AIKEN THINKS WHEN HE READS THE BOARDS. CAN YOU IMAGINE?

Not if you can explain, in 50 words or less, what is sooo remarkable about meeting you!
And you have to take me with you.

Sometimes, words are so inadequate. It is better simply to...
feel the moment.

'Can be arranged.

1. Being selected to sing the theme song for a major motion picture and subsequently to be invited to perform it at the 2008 Oscars.
Good discussion question, DEANNA! Back into lurkdom.

Thanks, HIPPY! If Josh Groban can do it, then why shouldn't Clay Aiken?????
Speaking of Josh Groban, apparently the Hallmark Gold Crown stores will be selling an exclusive CD of Josh Groban hits. Again, why shouldn't Clay be given the same opportunity some day SOON????

How 'bout a Grammy? Or two?
Okay, three--but no more. No one likes a show-off.

SUNNY, I thought about that, as well, but I was afraid to even verbalize it....I personally have so much anger inside of me directed towards the Grammy organization, I don't want to risk raising my blood pressure!

Oh good lord, Dev! If you so much as break a nail now, I'm gonna feel terrible!
I'll keep the post there. Maybe the Cosmos will pick up the seed and nurture it, and by Grammy time...

Oh Good Question!
Are we talking both personal and professional?
For Personal I want Clay to find the love of his life in 2007. I want him to have someone to share all the ups and downs of life with who loves him for who he is and not because he's Clay Aiken superstar!
For Professional I want Clay to get the opportunity to branch out more. We all saw how talented he is as a writer with Lover All Alone and his input in Lonely No More. I want someone to give him more chances to write his own music to record it and finally to have the recording industry, radio, and the media to recognize him for the true talent that he is, leaving out all the crap that they usually focus on.

Yup, I think about Clay probably about as often as men think about sex.
